If you have descendants then it might be a good idea to leave some for them, when you go.
Especially if BTC succeeds through the next generations, even a tiny amount today will become an live-changing amount in the far future

Generations? I don't think it will take that much time, especially according to the current scenarios. I'm hopeful in the coming few years to fill up most of the expectations in bitcoin speculation.

There's also the option of exchanging a chunk BTC for LTC from time to time to make small purchases more feasible.
...
The practicality of using fiat for daily transactions is still INFINITELY better and easier in every conceivable way.

in the western world (incl. the US, as you said it)... but not in high inflation countries

btw happy 31k .. even if it's a fakeout in the end (this pump certainly started with one)

I have been starting to think that the fakeout showed that there was not a lot of resistance going up, so then the message starts to get out there that going up becomes a kind of easy route - until it is not.. but then how far does it get?  so we have the one point that we are near, which is the prior $31,818 local high, then we have the top of don't wake me up zone, which is around $35k, and then we have pre-deadman's zone in the ballpark of $50k, and then what other resistances are there?

Surely, the BTC price generally does not tend to go straight up... so I am having trouble considering getting past $35k without some profit taking correction.. while at the same time, if we actually are entering punishment mode, then king daddy might end up playing hard ball with a few of the naysayers and even those who don't have the BTC that they claim to have might get screwed in this process.. if the time is ready or maybe some of those folks still need to sell some BTC that they don't haven and let's see how long they can play that game, before they end up getting reckt.

JJG I think it is a miners relief rally like sept 2015 to pre 2016 ½ ing.

I see us getting to 45k by dec 2023.

Sideways till the ½ ing a small drop to 35-38k right after the ½ ing then  fall of 2024 becomes much like fall of 2020. we get over 70k by dec 2024. whale like mad in 2025. maybe break 200k.

I expect that we may see 50k range in December 2023 and soon after that there may be some unexpected dips which may take Bitcoin's value back to 45k or below that. If that takes place then surely we will see better price appreciation and as a result Bitcoin may easily reach 70k range in 2024 and I expect ATH to take place in November-December 2025 and that time surely Bitcoin will have a price that will be over 100k minimum. I maybe wrong with my 2023's prediction but I'm quite sure that we will see Bitcoin at 100k value in 2025.

Oh gawd!!!!!

I am being trolled.

I see us getting to 45k by dec 2023.

That would have seemed bearish earlier in the year, but now it is seeming kind of bullish since december 2023 is only 5.5-10 weeks away, depending on if we are referring to the beginning or the end.

Sideways till the ½ ing a small drop to 35-38k right after the ½ ing then  fall of 2024 becomes much like fall of 2020. we get over 70k by dec 2024. whale like mad in 2025. maybe break 200k.

Not totally unreasonable.. except you likely know that I don't like numbers in the middle of deadman's zone, which is what happens when you pick the previous ATH... in other words surpassing the previous ATH would likely mean going over $100k - even though it is possible that the price might not get through $100k on the first attempt..

..and sure it is one thing talking about possibilities and a kind of base case, but another thing whether any of us are actually trying to play those expectations or if we just do what we do in small kinds of incremental ways that are not necessarily too worried about price moves... except even if some of us might not cash out big, when the price goes up, it does have a kind of tendency to cause hodlers to have more cash and more options based on the underlying asset (in this case bitcoin) being worth more.

Cited for visability..

By the way, nothing wrong with a picture BitcoinGuru, yet for sake of convenience for any of us looking at the matter and perhaps either wanting to confirm the source or to see if there might be more information available, it would have had been better to provide some kind of a link with it... even though the picture does help for some industrious person to search further for the source information (and any buttressing materials).

OT: nature shows us something interesting:

https://news.sky.com/story/worlds-oldest-dog-dies-aged-31-12990846

Dog dies age 31 when it's breed typical lifespan is 12-14 years.
Basically, this dog lived 2.2X the upper bound of a typical life.
If we consider 92-100 years the typical upper bound of the human life (I know that a couple people lived to 120), then in "human terms" this dog lived to be 200-220 years old, which is considered to be impossible (for now).
EDIT: I hope they kept this dog's DNA sample for further analysis.

Hard to complain about that.

As I type this post, we are just shy of the local high of $31,818 from last 18 months and in the last few minutes, we reached $31,745.

just about  AYH not quite.

 31734 or is that AYH?

I think we need 31850 $31,819?

Ditto dat, as amended.

Edited: (15-ish minutes after the original post)

BBBBBAAAAAMMMMM  - just passed over $31,818  - a new AYH...

This is good news and I believe that's how it will continue to increase until further notice. Even if the price drops, it will not be below the previous range it was before it increased to this extent. I am just saying this from my own discern.
