~snip OMG! She's Trump with more hair and bigger teeth. Ca Me La! Ca Me La! Ca Me La! I see that Homer's in love!!!! Maybe you should consider "calming down" a wee bit? You should already realize that we (royal perhaps?) strive to not become too emotional in this thread, right? right? rrrrrrrriiiiigggggggghhhhtttt? It was the image of a bitcoin that got me excited and I guess I forgot that Harris already had 3.5 years to "back measures to help bitcoin grow" and actually did the opposite as part of the Biden administration. I'm pretty sure her next move is to say she'll fire Gensler on day 1 if elected... Surely we need to be careful of anything that politicians say, whether or not Harris is completely hinged to Biden's historical policies or not. I am not really questioning any factual representations that would support speculating that she would do much if anything different from what Biden had done, even though surely there are needs for politicians to adapt to current happenings, so inevitably bitcoin is becoming more and more adopted, so presumption of ongoing Harris hostility to bitcoin is not easy to conclude merely from her having been part of Biden's administration. Another thing is that there are so many systems in place in which governmental systems are screwing us and continuing to try to screw us in regards to various ways that our information is controlled and we are manipulated and also the various struggles are likely to continue, especially ways that any of the leaders supposedly embrace bitcoin is not necessarily going to take away threats of the various information control effects, and surely bitcoin is value attached to information, so there are ongoing attempts to control how we can use bitcoin too... so some variation of our ongoing fights will continue no matter the election results..... even though surely some of us might not give too many shits about individual sovereignty that includes too many battles to try to maintain or even enhance as compared to just being able to have our numbers go up so that we will be able to enjoy the number go up angle of bitcoin, and surely I am not against number go up as long as we are not too much lulled into ONLY that angle of bitcoin.. .. since we likely have to continue to be careful regarding getting lulled into any particular politician. and that is on either side they have their trade-offs, especially when they are frequently limited in how much they are able to do in terms of actually empowering people rather than bolstering various control mechanisms.. and I am not even completely against government, since some government seems both needed and inevitable.. but yeah several aspects of government overreach in the privacy and control and self-sovereignty areas should not be comfortable for any of us. Listening to Whitney Webb can cause some of us to become depressed, even though she is likely correct in several ways. She has several interviews, here is a recent one with Webb on Natalie Brunell's podcast. Is it also possible that the bitcoin somehow goes to zero someday? Like how it could even possible?
It will go to zero but hopefull that is in the: " Year 2525 if man has still survived" Yeager and Evans I think. Here's a link to the song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=izQB2-KmiicHard to predict that far out, and sure bitcoin (and man) might still be alive in 2121... There should still be a subsidy reward in bitcoin in 2121.

Bullshit, its affected by fuckery and its just bigger fish doing the fucking.
It's definitely a machine with many moving parts. When most people are hodling and the whales aren't playing, the majority way of accumulating coin is from what miners release so during those periods, it will depend more strongly on what they're willing to sell for.

Ah 60 coins of fees in 6 blocks. Dec 2023 was a god like fee month. Maybe these fees will last a month or maybe they end in a few hours. My mining dropped from 6ph to .5ph so it is not a big deal. Maybe I will fire up some gear.

Don't quote me on this but there was a rush to participate in some kind of "bitcoin staking" thing that pays users in token rewards. https://twitter.com/mononautical/status/1826604180251050388I know, it sounds like a terrible idea.

No she won't be a BTC maker. Narrow minded fools that they are. BTW if Trump gets in he won't be a BTC maxers At nutilah the fees are dropping off so it is likely going to pass by this afternoon. Looks like 70 coins in fees for 8 blocks so far.

Babylon Protocol. https://babylonlabs.ioBasically: nonsense. Spend now transaction fees to get your satoshi in a "staking decentralised smart contract", to earn imaginary points with no real value. First come, first serve, hence the rush to get into the blocks. If you hurry, you can commit some other 800 BTC...

Basically: nonsense. It's the same as all the other hypes: altcoins, ICOs, forkcoins, NFTs, DeFi, tokens, Ordinals, and I probably forgot a few more. All of it is created to make the creator rich, all of it has the same type of flashy website filled with buzz words, animations and empty promises. And by the time people realize it, the creator has created 10 times more new schemes already.

It's hard to find an honest politician, this one is perhaps one of the few on that list I see two politicians. Surely you can't mean that lying weasel Trump. I guess you mean the other one.

.... We have even seen the current president of the USA repeatedly tell the lie that Trump said "there were good people on both sides" at the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, and that THAT was the exact reason he wanted to run as president. Biden retold that lie on Monday. No ifs or buts, that was and IS a blatant LIE: This has been debunked by Snopes here:https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/trump-very-fine-people/Um... no it hasn't Dude, you need to read the link in full before posting a falsehood that is proven by that very link you posted. He absolutely did say "very fine people on both sides," . (There's fucking videos of him saying it all over the intertoobz and I cant be bothered to find the links. Do it yourself) ...In a news conference after the rally protesting the planned removal of a Confederate statue, Trump did say there were "very fine people on both sides,"
