We need to dig out all the old quotes talking about bitcoin reaching $100k

1st 100k prediction:

Yeah. Some people think that I can predict short term movements (which I generally don't, albeit I trade profitably). Some people think that I cannot predict the long term (which I do: with 50+% certainty bitcoin is going to $100k+ in 3 years). Suckers are wrong on both.

Took a bit more than 3 years, but that was it.

Here's where he doubled-down:

Long term anything sub-100k is a glaring buy.

Dipping down now. Feels like we could see a bottom established here and a wave up to six digits… Sleep is overrated anyway.

I was an active member of this forum back in 2013, unfortunately, my original account was compromised and banned years ago. I never really saw the need to create a new account, as I’ve always been more of an observer than a writer. That being said, I’ve been visiting this thread almost every week for years. It’s been, for the most part, my sole source of Bitcoin news—and, most importantly, hopium!

With $100k so close, I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone on this thread for your unwavering optimism and dedication over the years. It’s been incredibly inspiring to see how many of you have stayed committed through the highs and lows, continuing to believe in Bitcoins vision and potential. Without this thread and the positivity here, I probably wouldn’t still hold the corn I do now.

Thank you all for keeping the fire alive. Here’s to many more milestones for Bitcoin!

PS Bring on 100k!!!

Personally, I am thinking for me, I might have had more difficulties holding onto my cornz if I did not have some ways to interact about the cornz on a fairly regular basis, yet I probably took more of an aggressive approach to bitcoin based on my own ongoing interaction. that has largely been this thread, too... although in recent years, I have been venturing out in some other parts of the forum, too.

Anyone here still cares about technology? Cheesy
Always, doesn't mean I can't celebrate my fuck you money elevating to fuck you money status

Agree.  We can do both..

JayJuanGee is still mad at me after i stomped him with bearish nonsense messing up his beloved spreadsheet. Cheesy
Impossible.  JJG doesn't have any hate in him.

Hahahaha...

That be called koreck.  I was thinking of saying something.. so

Blame my handler for that faulty programming.

My hander told me to just fake those kinds of tingie-ling-ies, and other forum members won't be able to tell the difference between real or no real.

Kind of like this scene When Harry Met Sally.

Wasn't Goat the one that got arrested for stealing the 50k-ish silk road coins and he pretty much gave them to uncle sam in a trade for a relatively light sentence?
I thought that was Loaded.

O.k.. That's probably correct.. I kind of spouted from memory, but now that you say Loaded, then I realize that I was mixing up Goat and Loaded.

Anyone here still cares about technology? Cheesy
Yes I'm still very much interested in technology because without it I think Bitcoin wouldn't be in existence in the first place, aside the valuable part of Bitcoin I'm in it for the technology, Technology is the backbone of Bitcoin, Technology plays a vital role in Bitcoin world.

Technology does play a vital role in bitcoin, yet it seems that many of the shitcoiners overly index on technology, and they they end up downplaying that bitcoin solves a money problem that is not likely to be improved upon by some shitcoin, unless the shitcoin is able to improve upon bitcoin in the ballpark of at least 10x.. I mean to the extent that there is a way to accomplish that and to also succeed in a fair initial launch, too.

so a retrace to 60k or a spike to 150k could happen in the next sixty days. but if force to guess 60k or 150k in the next 60 days As jjg would give a percent i would guess 80% we hit 150k and 20% we hit 60k by Jan 21 2025.

Your percent allocations are wrong (or just confusing) because in your assignment you are assuming one or the other to be hit.  so to make them more correct (accurate, less confusing) you would have to subtract out the  percentage assignment that you would be giving for not hitting either one, which is probably close to 70% if not greater than 70% .. let say if you ended up assigning 70%, then you would only have 30% left to work with, and so 80% of 30 is 24 so if you had established 70% as the middle, then based on your 80/20 calculation you would assign 24% to $150k or greater and 6% to $60k or less.

over 99k again

bulls are not exhausted in any way it seems

Judging by Glassnode's Combined Orderbook chart, there is a lot to stem for the bulls to go over $100k.
Indeed, it doesn't seem they run out of steam anytime soon. We're about half way there.
The good thing is, every buyer gets Bitcoin at a quasi-fixed price for the next few thousand coins. I'd call this a bargain, considered how early we still are.

I would proudly buy for 100k just for the lulz of having bought at that price... Unfortunately (or fortunately) I have no fiat on any exchange. To be honest, I don't have much fiat anyways  Grin

#metoo

But i made a mistake at the beginning of my journey with Bitcoin: I held quite a big fiat reserve, which i learned later, would have better been converted to a Bitcoin reserve as soon as possible  Roll Eyes

Could Microstrategy end up being the Bitconnect for this cycle? I see people dumping their entire net worth into it and selling long dated call options. I worry a little bit about what will happen when we see a correction. People’s self directed retirement accounts could get wrecked. With people buying MSTR essentially paying $200K for BTC it is beginning to sound warning bells.
So hedge and sell some coin.

To me I sold enough that I can handle a crater drop.

I already have buys at.

My question for you is are you ready for uppity or cratering?

I am.

That seems to be part of your ongoing "issue" Phil.  You tend to be overly prepared for down, and not very much prepared for up.....

But., yes, I am kind of judging you, since you are 100% responsible for figuring out your own allocations.

I forgot this is the crowd that thought the mtgox distribution wasn't going to take us from $73K to $49K.

Oh gawd....  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes  Can you even help your apparently deluded self?

I like paper money (because I'm an old fart). But it seems so out of date...

I'm also an old fart.

I prefer paper money too (including Bitcoin) because I like anonymity.

Every time you use a credit or debit card you're leaving a permanent record of who, when, where, what for, and how much. It's ironic that they call that a "paper trail". Cash transactions leave no such records.

Same goes for taxicabs versus Uber or Lyft. If I hail a cab on the street, specify a corner to be dropped off at and pay with cash, the driver doesn't know or care who I am or what my starting or destination addresses are. He's happy to get my fare and I'm happy to get where I'm going. In fact, he's probably happier to get his fare and tip in cash also, with less waiting and tax implications.

Cash rules.

$100k is a round number and will make many headlines, so allow Bitcoin make it worth the news by building up sentiments and keeping people in suspense so we can better appreciate the journey. If it jump to $100k, it will look so easy and many people will tend to forget where we are coming from and the amount of FUD they had to ignore in order to hold till now. Always remember that if we can make it this far before inauguration, then $100k is just the beginning of what is to come.
