...Cash rules.

you did the right thing when you bought your coins at ATMs. Well worth the fees, you often wrote about.  (I think it was you, or I'm getting old)

Both?  Grin

Yeah, it was me.

Those were the days. I used multiple ATMs depending on their rates. The one closest to me in a 24-hour convenience store usually had the best buy rates, often actually paying me to buy their coins. Another one a short cab ride away usually had the best sell rates, again often paying me to buy their dollars. I was not only making money from holding, but also from buying and selling, all anonymously.

Those days are gone. Now I use both over-the-counter and under-the-counter exchanges dealing directly with individuals. The OTC exchange has extreme KYC/AML and I use them for my bank account. The UTC exchange is totally anonymous and pays me cash dollars. Fees are negligible if there's any fee at all. Sometimes the UTC charges me no fee during times of higher demand just to avoid having to pay a fee themselves. They make a small amount converting USD to CAD as all prices are based on Bitstamp USD prices. Even that is much less than what banks or currency exchanges usually charge.

Life goes on.

you were really lucky to find such a nice rate system in your area, and especially the UTC exchange.  In the area I lived at that time it was impossible...

Do you have any good tips for UTC exchanges?

If you have valid proof that the account belongs to you, you can try to get it back. Everything you need is at this link.

Recovering hacked/lost accounts

Thanks, I gave it a try. I had a 2013 account, which I lost access to when the bitcointalk db was leaked, and I never claimed later due to inactivity.

If you find the leaked database, you can maybe get the password back.  I used to have a copy of it but I can't find it now.

over 99k again

bulls are not exhausted in any way it seems

Judging by Glassnode's Combined Orderbook chart, there is a lot to stem for the bulls to go over $100k.
Indeed, it doesn't seem they run out of steam anytime soon. We're about half way there.
The good thing is, every buyer gets Bitcoin at a quasi-fixed price for the next few thousand coins. I'd call this a bargain, considered how early we still are.

I would proudly buy for 100k just for the lulz of having bought at that price... Unfortunately (or fortunately) I have no fiat on any exchange. To be honest, I don't have much fiat anyways  Grin

One objective I had for this year that I didn't achieve so far is to find a way to buy BTC without using centralized exchanges and without paying too much of a premium.

When I logged yesterday into my usual CEX, to which I have done lots of money transfers over the years (and some from it, but not in a long time), and where I have done KYC long ago, it said to me that I needed to do more KYC now...

indeed I already did at least two KYC's on the CEX's I have an account at.

I hate it. But I also haven't found any good alternative. Local Bitcoins is long gone and all non-KYC CEX's I checked were somewhat shady. I fear of being exit scammed just at the time my assets are with them...

Btw, any reliable OTC services out there? Asking for a friend...  Grin

maybe Kraken?

I'm not experienced with OTCs. Haven't done any significant sells since 2015... which I regret oc  Cheesy

The volumes are such that you don't need any OTC trades, unless you want to buy/sell billions ala M. Saylor.
Coinbase and bybit vol was 2.8 bil in 24hr, binance 8 bil aka 2mil a min on coinbase and 5-6mil on Binance.
Therefore even a fat sale can be taken down quite quickly.

Merited by infofront (1), Gachapin (1)

That being said, I’ve been visiting this thread almost every week for years. It’s been, for the most part, my sole source of Bitcoin news—and, most importantly, hopium!

In that case I apologize for you having to slog through my hundreds of shitposts.

Wicked (part 1) is excellent. 10/10

If you like these type of stage musicals definitely worth seeing the movie.
Near perfect adaptation.

Easily the best thing Ariana Grande has been involved with.
She's wasting her time with the forgetful pop music if she can do this so well.
Should really sweep all Oscars. Rest of the year has been quite meh at the cinema.

Hopefully 100K over the next couple of days, though that bastard sell wall will be a tough one to break.

You guys realize that the main reason we are holding here is not that bitcoin is struggling to advance, but rather it has to break through a lot of human angst at an otherwise meaningless number?

It's natural.

Not mathematical.

And as important and beautiful as the former is... the latter wins...  sooner rather than later.

Exactly.

If we were using base-2, there would be a huge wall at $131,072.

Human psychology.
