Buddy running the thread today. The price drops a little and suddenly everyone disappears? Sup with that?
I guess everyone is too busy watching replays of Katy Perry in space to care about what’s happening in Bitcoinland? Maybe everyone is busy selling their coins to buy Strategy bonds? Where’s all the excitement?
Got sick last nite fever sore throat post nasal drip. Taking benadryl which knock me out Runny nose here... It's killing me since y'day. Probably a cold. Weather felt quite warm on Sunday and I only put on a T-shirt and was out for a few hours. Turned out not as warm as I had expected... Sucks to be sick. Makes you think of your coins and how/when to spend some. Dropped some aspirin and benadryl. I sweated out the fever last night. woke up with sweat drenched sheets and t-shirt and shorts allow with pillows drench ed in sweat. typical way that I fight a fever. If i sleep overnight and drench the bed in sweat it knocks out the fever. Sounds like the bird flu philipma1957 - do you see any pin feathers on your chest? Just kidding - hope you get better quickly. I used to use a similar trick when I wasn't feeling well - Benadryl or Gravol would put me right to sleep and I would wake up soaking wet with sweat but feeling better. They make my heart skip now though so I have to suffer through it but never in silence I'm team sweat it out as well. I also have a tendency to not eat when I get sick. I lose my appetite usually and don't fight my feelings when it comes to health. Who knows if this is good or not. There's some saying, "feed a cold, starve a fever" and while I am aware it is an old wives tale, it feels right to me so I roll with it. I of course drink tons of water still. Getting some sunlight never hurt anybody either (as long as you don't stand in the Arizona sun too long). I've started standing outside in the mornings to get some sun and it's really helped me attack the day. I agree, sweating it out is good. Preferably in bed after a nice hot chicken soup. The body knows what it's doing with the fever, but it still needs fuel to keep the fight against the infection going. I would not recommend starving yourself. Rather try to eat calorie-rich, easily digestable foods and drink an isotonic drink. (you can make one yourself by adding a few common ingredients to your cup of hot water/tea: a pinch of salt, a squirt of lemon and a teaspoon of honey.)

So the tariffs are supposed to balance trade, replace income tax, bring back manufacturing, pay back the debt, and now also pay for the Bitcoin reserve ? It's a bit much isn't it ?

I am taking it easy today but no temperature issues for today. The worst part of these colds flus what ever is I get a very caustic post nasal drip. It makes for a brutal sore throat.

get well philipma1957
I've got another kind of issue, the clutch on my car is dead and I have to wait weeks for someone to change it (at an eye watering cost). Meanwhile I must drive back from vacation in a few days, and getting here was challenging, like getting uphill on the highway slowing slowing slowing...

Self-Custody is a right. Say no to "non-custodial"

~snipAurora Alert. Northern US viewing is possible. cloudy here I am not available in such area at the moment. ~snip Well it's your lucky week because there will be an even better chance tonight as the second CME caught up with the first CME and cannibalized it. My non-availability in the geographical area is much more than just a day or two.. hahahaha.. without giving specifics, it could be a while before I am back in the area. [edited out]
I love getting a few minutes of sun whenever possible and it does have a mood boosting effect. Also a bit of a tan makes you look healthier. Of course, any folks in northern latitudes have a lot more limitations in their sun exposure in the winter months. I frequently try to get some sun too, and for a while I was thinking going for a walk every day is helpful, something like 30 minutes... but then I have also read that 30 minutes of sun a couple times a week may well be a good bare minimum, in the event that daily might be more difficult to accomplish.. but surely there are also a lot of ideas on light therapy too... Dr. Jack Kruse talks about a lot of light therapy matters, and he has a bit of an arrogant personality, too... even if he might be correct in some of his assessments of ailments coming to modern man based on various aspects of the artificial light exposure that we get in modern times, with various kinds of light being worse than other kinds of light. I cannot narrow down exactly where Kruse is talking about light therapy ideas, yet he did a lengthy three part interview with Robert Breedlove for anyone interested in listen to his interview or maybe watching it if you search for it yourself for the video version. Part 1 Part 2Part 3

Hey bros. Celebrating my first "wind fall" Social Security check that just landed in my bank account. Went down to the local Social Security office on Monday to ask what was taking so long with my application for benefits. Turns out it had nothing to do with all this Muskie Doge nonsense. Social Security agent.... You put down March 1st as your start benefits date but you reached full retirement age 6 months ago. Me...I know, I'm still working full time. I like my job. And they like me. Its why I'm still there after 30 years. Social Security agent ... That's fine, but you can keep working and collect full benefit now with no penalty. So would yo like to change your start benefits date to October 2024 and receive 6 months of retro benefit for first check? Me....Well.....ok, twist my arm. Added bonus... My company just announced branch closure. Laying off everyone over next 2 months. (They offered me a position at new location. "Do you want to move?" me..."ummm... no thanx". lol) I get 6 months full pay/benefits severance plus a 15% retainer bonus for staying on until they close this summer.. And paying me for all unused vacation time. Glad I didn't retire in October. Perfect timing...lol GO BITCOIN

Quantum computing research firm Project Eleven is offering 1 BTC to anyone who can break Bitcoin's cryptography.Quantum computing research firm Project Eleven is offering 1 bitcoin (worth around $84,081) for its first "Q-Day Prize," a global prize that will go to the first team to crack an elliptic curve cryptographic (ECC) key using Shor's algorithm on a quantum computer within a year. "The goal of the prize is simple but urgent: quantify the true threat that quantum computing poses to Bitcoin core cryptography," the firm wrote in a statement on Wednesday. Quantum computers pose potential threats to Bitcoin primarily through their ability to break cryptographic algorithms that secure the network. As Project Eleven notes, Bitcoin uses ECDSA for transaction signatures. Quantum computers, using Shor's algorithm, could theoretically derive private keys from public keys, compromising wallet security. The firm estimates that more than 6.2 million BTC, worth nearly $500 billion, are at risk. "We have no clear idea how close we are to a quantum ‘doomsday’ scenario for existing cryptography," Alex Pruden, CEO and co-founder of Project Eleven, said in a statement. "The Q-Day Prize is designed to take a theoretical threat from a quantum computer, and turn that into a concrete model." Full news source

And paying me for all unused vacation time. Glad I didn't retire in October. Perfect timing...lol GO BITCOIN Congrats on retirement!. That said, sorry pal, they pulled a "fast" one on you. By going back 6 mo, you soc sec payment permanently decreases 2/3X6=4%. Yes, you'll get a lump sum of 6 mo, but, since you already "got" those 6mo credits, why throw them away (in a long run)? With numbers: say, your Ssec at FRA is $3000, then at +6 mo it would have been 3000X1.04=3120/mo. You would have gottten 120x12=$1440 extra per year for starters and then, with each COLA, you would be increasing the "extra". You may say that...so what, I've got that sweet $3000X6=$18000. It is so, but it depends on your "projected" longevity. Typically, the breakeven point is at about 10-12 years, give or take. You "won" if you live roughly less than about 12 years, "lost" if more than about 12 years. The exact numbers are not achieved by simply dividing 18000 by 14400 (albeit i used those for simplicity) because there would be a change in COLAs for "you" who took the lump some vs theoretical "you" who did not and the difference will accumulate. That said, I intend to take at FRA and also keep working. More cash flow, more btc buying potential. EDIT: adjusted some numbers to more accurate values.
