CME gab at $115,000 and a possible dump to $112,000 for a retest before green candles.

Additionally, there will be probably accusatory speeches this week (together with positive ones, no doubt).
Sell the news a few hours before the news?

Which ones could that be?

Quote
Overall, August is typically slightly bearish, followed by even more slightly bearish September, then bullish for the rest of the year.
It might play out just like that.

Not in past cycle top years, when July and August were monthly greens, so far.
I think i posted about this some days ago, IIRC?

are we poor again?

Since Bitcoin is "not real money" and "backed by nothing", we're even constantly broke, if not in debt.  Wink
Us poor fucks...  Tongue

1. US Congress will be debating 2-3 "crypto" bills. They don't differentiate between bitcoin and the rest. I am only interested in "taxation" bill, but Wall street is interested in CLARITY bill the most, it seems. The stablecoin bill should pass without much noise.

2. Re August-September- I referred to a graph that James (InvestAnswers) posted: https://youtu.be/maad4s7fRyE?t=233.
If we go up instead, so much for the better.

1. Thanks for updating me at the news front, i don't track US politics that much, even less so since i am working on two projects at office at the time.

2. Yes, indeed, over a whole cycle, in non-top years July/August/September are quite negative (red) in non-top years, which masks their greenishness in cycle-top years.
That said, i ain't sure about September being green overall in those top-years.
I just hit "All" on the timeframe and "monthly" on the chart and inspected the results myself, to my own surprise, wrongly memorizing Summer months as generally bearish.

I saw a 2-3 mm little frog at the garden today...it was hiding near the water hose...jumped away before I could make a pic.

Perhaps the biggest unsolved mystery of human history.

@jojo69 proposed an answer to that. May be it's correct.

I wonder if AI may be able to provide us with an answer one day. I think there are several gaps in our understanding, either put there deliberately or just blind spots that evolution has put there to allow us to continue. However, even the very limited LLMs that we're currently being served are heavily tinkered with because their owners become unhappy with the output.

The current AI Chat Bots are centralised one that are controlled by the companies that created it. AI will be of little to no use in answering this question if it keep following it's current pattern.

Bummer about the failed vote on crypto bills today. Apparently the exclusion of a ban on a central bank digital currency was the reason for the failure. It looks like they’ll be voting on it again later today with an amendment to get it passed. Then on to the senate, where hopefully they will add in the elimination of capital gains. Now is the time.

That was a shocking amount of BTC being dumped at $117,500.  The market seemed to absorb it and is holding up ok, someone sold a massive amount though for sure.  That's the largest volume spike we've seen in months, so that leads me to believe we might be near a new bottom here.  With this week being sure to be full of announcements, I think it might be a bit early to count this rally down for now.  It does seem to be taking a breather though.  We'll see how Europe responds when they wake up in a few hours.

Because turns out the guy who forgot 8 wallets from 2011, 10K BTC in each, just cashed out over $2 billion  Wink

Foundation Season 3 Episode 1 Was fantastic!

I have no doubt it will suck by the end of the season but this episode was a must watch even if you don't follow the series.

It stands on its own.

Some say that the recent drop in BTC is due to the pronounced inflation data in the US, but is this representative for buying?

Quote
For bulls, the key zone to reclaim now lies between $119,250 and $120,700, an area of sell-side imbalance, where aggressive sellers previously pushed the price lower, leaving unfilled buy orders. A clean breakout above this range would signal renewed bullish momentum and open the door for fresh highs beyond $123,000.

Quote
However, a deeper correction appears more probable in the short term. Bitcoin could revisit the fair value gap between $113,700 and $115,300, a zone aligned with the 200-day EMA, which offers dynamic support. A bounce here would support the continuation of the broader uptrend. If selling pressure intensifies, BTC may retest the former all-time high around $112,000 before resuming its upward trajectory.

It's all about looking at it from the right approach, this may be one reason , the other reason is that the bulls are testing the high price levels to see how Everything is at those levels, they may make a normal correction and build momentum to get beyond $120k.
