1972 to 1991 various things.

no desire for them anymore.

if you need a boost coke does give it but a small amount of meth and steady coffee will allow you to drive from NYC to Miami with just piss breaks.

of the non legal drugs my worst experiences where with angel dust. stopped it after two or three tries. got really sick.

vomit vomit vomit.

i spent hours at a park drinking from a fountain and puking. as did a friend of mine.

we never did the drug again

Damn, you guys have a history I'm thankfully unfamiliar with - having never once even thought about wanting to try any kind of recreational drug. I was too much of a strait-laced academic and definitely career-oriented.

I wouldn't even know where to get it, I didn't hang out with any friends that used drugs - and I certainly didn't want to disappoint my family or ruin my future by having a record for substance abuse or doing something stupid while under the influence. That mindset has served me well and I don't regret it...

Do you ever drink?

@cAPSLOCK - This one is for you!

I had dinner with a law partner near SMU in Dallas this evening and I thought about you when I looked at the menu and saw the selection of drinks, and decided to have a margarita with my Caesar salad and grilled chicken. The last drink I had previous to tonight was 3 months ago celebrating my wedding anniversary at Ruth's Chris restaurant.

With 2025 about to end I think I've this drink was my third drink this year...

I hope you enjoyed your dinner.

So what is the consensus here, price goes up soon after the rate cut this week or not? There is always that one group of people for which every single event is always priced in, they are a funny bunch  Cheesy

stock market goes down, bitcoin-unclear.
Why down?

In short: it is just my opinion.
In somewhat longer explanation: because it is expected and because US stock indices are priced to perfection right now (CAPE 41-42) and because markets typically decline when Fed cuts due to the slowdown.

Even longer: when the third cut is the LAST one, stock market goes up in the next 12 mo; when the third cut is due to an economic weakness and a slowdown, then stocks typically fall...so the question is: do they cut because of the current weakness or not?
Maybe, maybe not...but they could say "it is likely the last" and then it would be bullish.
In the absence of such communication-bearish.

Could be bigger, but...
Even not-so-smart criminals usually don't want to strain their wrist using too heavy wrenches at work.
A 12-inch wrench should do it too.

...

In the 70's, 'R.J.Reinolds, hired scientists to investigate why Philip Morris was selling so much more... The same was done by other companies in the field,... when in 1989 they confirmed in a document that the secret of 'Mallboro' was ammonia...
Ammonia acts, according to experts, by making the smoke less acidic, making nicotine free and lighter, easily absorbed by the lungs, reducing by more than 10 minutes, the time for the psychotropic effects of nicotine to act and be felt in the brain and body.
Documents also show that Reynolds, the maker of Winston, began using ammonia in the 1950s, but did not incorporate it into the product until the 1970s, and Reynolds scientists found that PhilpMorris began using ammonia in 1965, increasing the additive until 1974, this period corresponds to the increase in sales of Philp Morris.,
,
____...

Thanks for this, I was aware they added something like 180 chemicals but never realized it actual they changed it to crack.

Quote
So what years were the major brands switch to free basing?

Direct answer: The switch to ammonia “freebasing” of nicotine began with Philip Morris in the early 1960s (around 1965), expanded through the late 1960s and early 1970s, and by the mid‑1970s most major U.S. brands (including R.J. Reynolds’ Camel and Winston) had adopted the technique

We never had a fucking chance with these cocksuckers pulling the strings.

Something like 20yrs ago I worked at some times for a company that did chemical analysis of tobacco for a large, unnamed tobacco corp and while I had access to almost everthing there (we managed the system that did store the said test-results) in my role, those test results were handled like a taboo. When I asked, I was told: "We can't let you see this *winkwink* under no circumstances". I know that they added for example what I think to remember is pyrazine with the effect that you don't get feeling sick after one cigaratte and can smoke one after the other.

Man, it's a f*cking sick world if you can't even trust the Marlboro man..

There's a joke that goes like this:

"The doctor recently asked me if i have an alcohol problem... So i said i never had any problems with alcohol, only without it."  Cheesy

I drink, I get drunk, I fall down, No problem.

Damn you, that was my favorite tagline I always wanted to quote  Cheesy

(I actually did, but deleted the post after seeing yours after posting).

Here’s a good video from one of my favorite financial influencers talking about the potential for Strategy’s preferred dividend paying stocks to cause a death spiral… A good watch for those who might not understand what is happening.

EDIT2: This was my 4444th posting as OOM here  Cool Just noticed after editing  Grin
I was also a little confused by this, because if you have 2114(now) activities or more, how is it possible 4444?
Hitchhikers guide to the posting stats

-I barely remember taking a quick glance at this, pretty much new to me, thank you, your memory is pretty good... , #EDIT.: ,,,well, I was a little intrigued after I paid attention to the detail that in my case, this is not happening, and I went to check it out, I checked it out, and then I was a little more confused about mine, because I saw some profiles with much more posts than me and with much less activity., ..and mine, both activities, both posts, the numbers are the same. I don't know, it could be something else... Very nlablablah may be the case, whatever......_

   >Two good plants to improve memory:

.Rosemary,   rosemarinus Officinalis.
.Vinca, vinca Rosea.
_.....
...Looking here at the topic for example, only in my description I see the number of posts I made, in the others as well as yours, I only see the activities, but if I visit your profile, I can see the number of posts....
.
Quote
★ If your post count eclipses your activity by 14 or more then you will only need to make one post in the new period to get the full 14 activity. For instance, your post count is 200 but your activity is only 28. To get another 14 activity you will only need to make one post in the new period and you will then have a total of 42 activity.

.Very interesting, over time the number of posts no longer equals the number of activities.

.
..About counterfeit things like medicines, food, water ..etc., I always thought it would be good, if everyone had access to knowledge and could have a mini laboratory at home, to be able to analyze what we consume... But then I think:

-In the United States people fall by car into dams and lakes, in Russia they fall from the windows of buildings and in China they disappear, in North Korea, they can only have a picture of Kim on the wall....
.
. So I'm in doubt between not having a laboratory and or they may be hiding something they don't want us to know, or, 'conspiracy theory, whatever... I know that people don't even want to know, they want to have money to spend..., time is money, and this money is not equivalent to time of destruction, when I say destruction, I mean destroying everything over time... They destroyed the Library of Alexandria, we can say, an 'open-source' library of the time, they decimated several cultures, they destroyed things that were already extinct from nature and in nature... And they will keep destroying, and they will not stop destroying people's minds.....

I haven't had a hangover in over 10 years, probably closer to 20.
As someone here mentioned, "It's the dose that makes the poison" (Paracelsus).

Sure. But at doses that low, I'd generally rather be drinking something else (only generally, not a 100% rule), especially at those prices. I'm definitely not judging anyone though.

If they are cutting the rate because inflation is stable, I mean if that is what they communicate then it is a bullish rate cut.

If they communicate that it is because of economic slowdown then the cut is bearish in the short-term.

Did I get this right?
