Here’s a good video from one of my favorite financial influencers talking about the potential for Strategy’s preferred dividend paying stocks to cause a death spiral… A good watch for those who might not understand what is happening.

Twenty minutes of video for something that could be written up in a couple of pages. That's nothing new. I find that offending.

TL;DW: Guy in the computer: I have no clue what will happen, but let me explain what has happened.

As to the specifics, he's right: if the MNAV goes below 1 (that is, if Strategy stock trades at a discount to their bitcoin stash) and stays there for a couple of years, Saylor might be forced to sell some corn, which is NOT a good thing. Another bad thing is if number go down. Wow, I'd never imagined that.

The initial examples about the Ottoman Empire and Greece are there as attention catchers, lasting about 5 minutes. The ad in the middle is another 1-2 minutes.

Next time write it up please. (I'm talking to the guy in the computer, not to OgNasty).

Sure. But at doses that low, I'd generally rather be drinking something else (only generally, not a 100% rule), especially at those prices. I'm definitely not judging anyone though.

"Doses that low" just because I don't get a hangover? A couple of glasses of the right wine(s) can make a meal shine IMO.

The sun unleashed an earth directed CME as a result of a fairly long duration M8 solar flare a couple of days ago.  There was also an X-class flare yesterday but the duration of the flare doesn't appear to have been long enough to have resulted in a coronal mass ejection.  Sadly, the timing was such that the arrival of the plasma is likely to occur during daylight hours today in Europe but it should still be dark enough in the US and Canada (possibly New Zealand) to see the auroras.  The prediction is currently for a G3 solar storm which should be visible into the mid latitudes of the USA.  The Kp index has already begun to rise but the show probably wont begin for another 4 hours or so.   West coast US viewers will have the best chance for viewing the aurora.

 TL;DR   Go outside and look up - or maybe just look out your window if you're up in the wee hours taking a whiz.


edit: the most recent forecast from NOAA/NWS shows the arrival of the G3 storm between 0600 and 0900 UTC so half an hour from now (it is 5:30am GMT) for the next three hours and continue for a further six hours subsiding and intensifying between a G3 and a G2 solar storm.

edit2: I checked all my sources and many of the northern ones are clouded over tonight.  So far there have been no reported sightings.

edit2: Glad I didn't stay awake waiting for it.  Kind of a dud... Greenland got a show but it's not a rare event for them.
