as a total aside my Kohler valve came today I installed it and the leak is done.

Net cost 25 bucks plus 25 in lost water.

Way way lower than a plumber bill.

AND you didn't have to look at the Crack!

And usually the family gets viewing priviledges.

Since the toilet is in a tight spot one must lay on their right side to detach the supply hose. then use your left hand holding the wrench to loosen the nut.
if you lay on your side zero crack exposed.

This is one of three toilets in the house .  it is the one with the least access to the supply line .
