I would be embarrassed to be an American right now.
I am not embarrassed, but from the inside viewpoint of being one I am trapped more than anything else. All the income of pensions and ssa are federal for my wife and I. While they are pretty good they are an example of 'not your keys not your coins' They add up to over 90k a year but even though they are guaranteed if I act up and get jailed protesting they go poof. because them's the law. And the feds got a lot more guns than I will ever have. Yeah...with some clarification. Pension-it depends on a pension system, but maybe vet pension is strict. My pension system says that you would not get pension ONLY if a crime was related to the official position (like embezzlement on a job). Soc security-payment stops after 30 day incarceration, but automatically restarts after coming out. yeah it suspends while you are in prison. but in my case the lack of my funds would hurt my wife. and if my wife were jailed the lack of funds would hurt me. a lot of usa people get ssa and if jailed for over a year the financial loss is difficult. it does keep many people in line.

If Russia is a threat to Greenland taking it over why Trump invite Putin to his new peace council that cost $1 billion every 3 years with Trump as suprematie leader..? .....Orange man even demand a special ceremony in Davos this week... I have a suspicion from all this bullcrap is a distraction to avoid the Epstein debacle accountability. Agree, plus he's going full Sleepy Don mode progressively.

After all, he did rename the Department of Defense, the Department of War.
Haha. Yup. Everyone: Why do they call it the department of defense when it's so often used for war? Trump: Renames it the Department of War Everyone: Shocked Pikachu face.

Each of us likely establishes various funding sources in case one or another of the funding sources gets greatly reduced or eliminated. Yet, even when we prepare, we might not be able to completely prepare, even though there are some private sources (like bitcoin) that potentially gives greater options - yet at the same time, if our banks were to be cut off, then we would have to find other ways to exchange our bitcoin for cash or whatever medium that we might be transacting in. For sure the regular expenses of food, lodging, utilities, transportation - and whether we own or rent property there are likely expenses related to that property - can we pay them in bitcoin or cash or through some other means?

Haha. Yup. Everyone: Why do they call it the department of defense when it's so often used for war? Trump: Renames it the Department of War Everyone: Shocked Pikachu face. Exactly, Trump has done no wrong, it's just calling a spade, a spade. However it now paints the USA as war lovers and incitement nation. Maybe that's why they're often accused of gas-lighting some vulnerable praise singers and capitalising on their distraction to milk their economy too. Venezuela crisis and Nicholas Maduro's abduction still adds to their economy after claiming control over their oil sector. War is strategic and lucrative especially when gambled upon by set piece by the elite nations like the US or Russia or China. Haha, department of War can just be an alias for a lucrative business.

Why does this seem so botish? Maybe because I am repeating themes that I have already touched upon several times through out the years and maybe I am getting bored with my own talking points? and another thing is that it could be that I am not saying anything too ground breaking? Maybe you should have had already touched upon these source of income (and spendability) issues in order that I would have felt that I did not need to. Of course, you have several income sources, yet at the same time, you seem to have bottlenecks too. Perhaps several of us have bottlecks, even if we are holding bitcoin... .. and we still might get caught up by our various bottlenecks and we may well have to scramble if at any point we are not able to pay for our bills, expenses or whatever it is that we do with our money... hookers? lambos? blow? anyone? anyone? anyone? Yeah some savings off grid. Are good to have.
You have to be able to spend them too, so there is convertibility (liquidity/acceptability) when push comes to shove.

Surprise G4 solar storm! I've been following the charts and I know there are a couple of massive sunspots facing earth at the moment but I saw no CME's lately... at least none that would cause a G4. Anyway, sightings reporting in Spain ffs. I can't see anything - snowstorm here - but go out a look up! Auroras should be visible if you have clear skies and well into the south of USA and Europe.
edit: more info from spaceweather.com "THIS WAS A VERY FAST CME: The CME that struck Earth today crossed the sun-Earth divide in only ~25 hours. That's fast. For comparison, most CMEs take 3 or 4 days to get here. The high speed of this CME (~1660 km/s) places it in the top few percent of all CMEs observed in the past 30 years."

I’m always too far south but I’ll give it a shot and go take a look when the sun sets. Doesn’t take much of a reason to get me to break out the Dobsonian (not that it would help see Auroras) and do some star watching. Thanks for sharing.
