She is African American Venezuelan and Irish

I have followed her career because a friend of mine won a contest and he plus nine others got to do a meet and greet in the late 80's or early 90's

He said she was really pleasant and he like to hear her live voice.

Yeah but.

What about her racks?

Anybody figured out who the FBI's suspect is for kidnapping 84 year-old Nancy Guthrie in Tucson, Arizona and demanding a large ransom payment of Bitcoin to a wallet address determined to be a legitimate address?

https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/celebrity/articles/nbc-today-show-host-mother-004139052.html

I'm guessing the kidnapper will be found if/when they use an exchange to cash out or convert to fiat.

Centralized exchanges (Coinbase, Binance, Kraken, etc.) are required by law to:
- Perform KYC (Know Your Customer)
- Log IP addresses
- Log device fingerprints
- Log withdrawal addresses
- Respond to subpoenas

If a ransom wallet ever sends funds to an exchange, investigators can follow the chain and then subpoena the exchange.

So much for Bitcoin OPSEC! The idea that Bitcoin is 'untraceable' is a myth. It’s pseudonymous, not anonymous - and investigators exploit that gap relentlessly.

I would think that addy would be well watched.

but you could weave it through a lot of addresses.

btc is not what you want ransom money.

much better coins to do it with.

Yeah, I suspect the FBI is watching that address and will use deeply sophisticated techniques to locate the suspect.

Even highly disciplined criminals make errors by reusing an address, mixing personal and criminal funds, using a mixer incorrectly, connecting through a VPN that leaks or using a KYC’d exchange just once!  Another mistake would be paying for a service that logs IPs.

Investigators don’t need one perfect clue - they need one mistake.

Yes.  Privacy on the internet is almost impossible.  And privacy on bitcoin is the same.  I certainly support law enforcement using all tools available to catch/stop/interfere in this horrible crime against that old woman.  Humans are terrible.  I am sure it's all dighital records stolen from who knows where that told the criminals where that lady was, and who she was related to and so on.

But privacy is one of the biggest problems we face with Bitcoin (as well as many of the various abominations like stable coins).

So are you starting to understand some cypher punk ideals or just quoting AI?  Smiley  Or siding with the feds?  Don't break the law and you have nothing to worry about.  Orwellian mantra...

You don't need to be an actual "criminal" for this to matter.  You just have to be someone who supports the "wrong" party, or donated to the "wrong" charity. Not to mention people who live in oppressive regimes who need to send value out or carry it across borders.

Digital privacy/surveillance is, in my opinion THE biggest social problem humanity currently faces.

(Sorry to get preachy...)

Drink and extra Beer for me on that island LFC.  It's not a bear market... it's a beer market Wink  Though I ought not drink lol.

Precious metals market opens at 11PM GMT and the Japanese Stock Exchange opens at midnight GMT.

The next 3.5 hours are critical™
The next 4.5 hours are supercritical™

within the next 24 hours it will be over™

edit: Damn™, I forgot to add the sound effect

Is everything over or is there more to end?
If so, you can already put a new restart sound effect...,

or it will restart to new end?

Yeah man ok, I Know I made a mistake posting here.

Why wrong... Someone can live in Pakistan and buy this house cheaper now,
but the problem is that it is still conflicting, and having a house in places like this
is not a good idea. it can become a command post, and turn to dust after suffering an attack,
but it is worth the risk/investment.,

which would be riskier, buying BTC at 120k, or buying a house in a country at war?

Buying btc is zero risk if the money you spend could be lost.

buying a home in a war zone is really risky unless you have altered carbon tech.

now if you buy btc with a loan there is risk.

i add this detail there, >> ###

... And, between the risk of having you leave the house you just paid 2BTC on,
and being liquidated... Perhaps, buying BTC with borrowed money,
you still have the chance to buy more with cash and deposit it into the broker at the current value, and close the position without much loss and hold until
return to the price you bought with borrowed money to maybe reduce the loss,
and wait an indefinite time, (sometimes I do this, A good way out to
not accept the loss, hehehe...),...and to buy a house in a conflict zone,
the only option is to leave the house so as not to die,
in this case, better to accept the loss than to die... hehehe
