Tonight's moon Hangs in the haze Of eternal spring
#haiku
Haiku? 3-4-5? Countku. Or, by elision, Cuntku. Greetings, I see you are addicted to numericals and how they produce tangible effects. I don't know what a haiku is, this is just my version of dedications to the moon by basho - the great japanese Zen master. Talking about zen, japan and all. They gave much importance to spoken or articulated words which invoke meaning. Just like how seed phrases make keys. 3-4-5 setup is for japenese hyroglyphics not english. Good day.

@JJG, As I have stated MULTIPLE times, there is no rush and we can debate this at our leisure without hand waving and forced expediency drama and considering I am working on far more important projects atm (to me) I will reply to you when I have the time which I promise will be before the coins move or bip-361 is pushed. Yes.. there is no rush, and don't take it personally if I throw out some expletives from time to time. There are surely various presumptions that I don't agree with, yet in some regards, it is not like my arguments are necessarily better in regards to some of the angles.. . .and for sure, in recent times, there are a whole hell of a lot of people getting anxious by the various surprise capabilities of AI, and even though AI and QC are not the same thing, it seems that some of the shocking performances and fast growth of AI has been getting a lot of folks worked up in regards to AI being able to speed up some of the problem solving and even potentially cause certain kinds of breakthroughs that would have had taken hundreds of thousands of manpower, and then all of a sudden AI is finding solutions and identifying holes and connections in places that man would have quite difficulties in solving such puzzles. So yeah, in some sense, AI and QC are connected indirectly even though they are not the same thing. Why are so many people here so concerned with Satoshi's coins?
If Satoshi wanted to preserve them, he/she/they would have done so. Wasn't it Satoshi who said that lost keys shouldn't be considered lost coins but rather donations to everybody?
If they're inaccessible, be grateful for the donation.
Guys are not worried about them being lost (or locked up), but instead worried about them being able to be hacked into because they are in arguably higher vulnerable address formats. In other words, Satoshi would have had to have had purposefully make his coins no longer spendable rather than merely abandoning them and/or losing the keys.. and there is no evidence that he had done anything to make them unspendable in the address format that they are in.

I hope he's alright. shot? I thought for a moment. But that's unlikely. #quickhaiku OT Spoiler: After months i got out a 1250mm scope to shoot M51 (whirpool galaxy) under harsh conditions under half moon with the new mount. The results didn't make me quite happy, but after putting in more work, a little (non additive) AI-magic at processing and post processing, it seems i can come up with a decent image. Will post it later today, gotta run.

What if they are not, and actually are up for grabs by the quickest, best funded mofo? What will they do? I think this is the crux, and what we're talking about here. They are going to be stolen. It is only a matter of time. The question is if we want the free market to handle the issue or if we want developers to steal the coins. Personally, I’d rather not be a part of the theft as a supporter of the network. I actually think a quantum computer stealing them is the better moral decision. At least that way I don’t have to be an accessory to the theft.
Well, there is that, but there is this too: Frankly I want to see the cracking happen, but I do not want some rich company score the coin.
While I don't want to see the cracking happen, I definitely agree with the part after "but". Especially considering that anyone with the know how and financial might to actually crack those addresses is likely not embracing anything that bitcoin stands for. There would be no second thoughts in extracting maximum value - and to hell with all the lucky cyberpunks! To quote Jimbo's golden maxim, "sell when you must" would be replaced by "sell while you can".

Slow moving market in bitcoin vs "crazy' predictions of $1-15 mil btc price in 5-14 years that are propagating in the media is really grinding. Well, 6 years ago, btc was roughly 1/10 of today's value, so it is possible, but i cannot "grasp" it for some reason. EDIT: it seems that no matter how much "inflows" into ETFs ( https://youtu.be/VZVfb3DrCL4?t=330) plus Saylor's buying is happening, the price appears almost "frozen". Someone speculated that the paper bitcoin mafia was behind it - because it makes no sense that the price would hardly react positively to news of someone investing billions in Bitcoin. On the other hand, it seems that Saylor and his company haven't positioned themselves in the mainstream media in about 6 years since investing in Bitcoin started and that the average Joe doesn't even know what's going on. If one of the major US companies announced that they bought only 10% of what Saylor buys, I'm sure the market's reaction would be completely different. Let's put it this way, people want Mr. Mars and the Oracle of Omaha to tell them "Bitcoin is good, invest", they don't care what some Saylor thinks on the subject.
They say that the spokeswoman literally stated before the shooting that some shots would be fired - I don't know in what context it was said, but the woman might have some special powers By the way, when teachers take weapons in their hands and attack top politicians, it is clear how dissatisfied the people are with them. Fortunately for them, all attempted attacks that have taken place so far are the work of amateurs, and let them hope that they do not anger a professional against whom their chances of saving the target are at best 50-50.

talkimg down. It seems it took buddy with it. Which other image hosting platforms are compatible with bitcointalk? # many are compatible, but I believe that RT needs API access... imgbb.com work well, but it wouldn't be easy the exchange process, would it? I think waiting is the fastest solution, but it could leave a plan B when this happens. /# ... Currently, the entire upload system is down. I had run all the tests, but it seems that when I moved things to production, something went wrong.
My problem was that, when I saw that something had gone wrong, I tried to fix it instead of trying to reverse it immediately. I am currently in the process of resetting the previous backup point, which is from April 25th. But this has to be done carefully, so as not to lose any information.
I hope everything will be operational within a few more hours. Once again, I sincerely apologize for this inconvenience.

You are right Jay, my fear is that this coin can be hacked and fload the market which is not going to be funny at all. If this happens, it can have a mere infliction in the market which could make some investors that are only buying Bitcoin for the benefit alone to sell quickly due to their uncertainty. If the coins can be made unspendable like the way the USDT of money launders and big time scammers are been frozen in their wallets by the order of the government, this will be better for all. Although stable coins are centralized with no trust at all. If Satoshi coins can be made unspendable, this will be better and hackers would not want to waste their time anymore.
