I wanted to mention that in recent times I captured some pretty decent aurora photos.
I have 8 photos that were shot in a variety of directions and the moon had already been up for a bit of time when I made the shots, and the moon seemed to have not interfered with the shots.
You can open the photos in a new window to enlarge them.

Those are indeed some nice photos JJG! I see that you took them way back late on the night of May 10, 2024, early morning May 11, 2024.
I also see that you travelled just a few miles from where you live to take these photos.

You are the reason why "we" cannot have nice things.

Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

JJG - Look no further than in a mirror, scumbag! Roll Eyes

I bet it sends chills up your spine for you to know that I know!  Grin  Go ahead, keep digging that hole deeper.! Shocked  Have you always been a slow learner?  Huh

You're being way too aggressive with this and your threats are not welcome here.  You've crossed a line.

STOP repeating this EVERY SINGLE DAY and changing the date as if they are selling that amount repeatedly!

What are you a FUD machine?

nah GB10 is a FP4 machine

No shit?

I wasn't aware of that, had no clue they were making fp4 silicon and not sure why, I either missed it or stuff I've read doesn't cover that.

After looking into it I guess its for mem bound devices like phones but considering using f4 is lower precision than running Q4_K_M it's only really worth it for a chatbot.

EDIT: Hah, after looking it up and figuring out what fp4 is good for I finally got your Joke!!! Cheesy

Well it should not change the date as if the news is from a new cycle and it should maybe only display new news and keep a summary at the end of maybe the last week or so with appropriate dates of course.

Seriously repeating that same sale for 4 straight days and changing the date on it looks like its reporting it as NEW news from a new cycle.

It's not rocket science, it really should be capable of doing this without being instructed, share your prompt and we ( the royal we)  can probably flesh out some changes if you want.

I can't help that news reporting is retarded. I suppose I could modify the bot to go through the last 5 days of digests and remove duplicate stories.

Right now it only checks the last run for duplicate stories.

Lemme think on it. Having too much fun building my trading bot RN.

EDIT: TOO MUCH FUN!!!

I was using the Iphone 15 Promax for the pictures, with the flash off.  You can see that some of the photos are slightly blurry, since when I took each of them, I was taking them by hand and I would have to stay still for about 5 seconds as the camera captured the image, which it seems to have an automatic sensor for night mode since I had turned the flash off.

I will agree that the phones do a real good job with improvements in each of the generations with their automation and their night sensors, so perhaps the Iphone 16 or 17 promax would have had shot better.

Tips from the seasoned photographer:

1. Use "self timer" function (2 seconds). Every time you press on the screen, it's gonna shaky waky a lil bit. But that's not all to it:

2. Don't hold the phone with your hands, lean it against something, a stone or something solid. Just try to set up the exact place first to get a good angle, so you can press the shutter button and place the phone in less than 2 seconds in the spot set up earlier. Switch to 10 second self timer if it gets too stressful with 2 seconds.

3. You're welcome (in advance for moar and better night sky pics, we will likely see from you in the future)

 Grin

Yes, he did. But let's not judge too hard on him. He's still a newbie, and i regret calling him stupid nicknames like "BTF knob" and the likes.
I'll make a start by changing my attitude towards him, maybe he opens up again and becomes more nice to JJG.
"BTF knob" is somewhat cheeky, so lemme think ....

I think i remember he once wrote he's from Texas right?
Texas is cowboy country, a beautiful country with beautiful hills and all that. Now, "BTF Cowboy" would be too impersonal, so i'd maybe like to use a typical cowboy name.
James... Jin... Jim... I think i got it. I'll call him "Cowboy Jim" from now on. It's way more cute and friendly, and most of all, it's personal.
Maybe he gets to his mind again if i treat him more like a real person than just an avatar?
However, i would only be able to read his response to my friendly move if it gets quoted by somebody i don't have on my ign0re list. There are three people on it now, so chances are high.

What do you think?

EDIT: Oh yeah, sorry for double posting, but i really wanted to contribute a very personal reply to him, as he deserved better than just getting a part of a multi-reply.

My question is how much AI enhancement plays into these pictures.

I think that you are being too nice to the dweeb twat. He does not deserve it, and he is not going to change.

Many of "us" have already been too nice to him, including but not limited to you (and yours truly).

Tips from the seasoned photographer:
My question is how much AI enhancement plays into these pictures.

My photos were not AI enhanced at all, unless Apple has some "secret AI working behind the scenes."  I took the photos on my phone, and then I transferred them to my text message so that I could open them on the computer, and then I screen captured the shots in the parts that I wanted to show (which was most of the pictures), and then I uploaded them to talkimg.com.

JJG - You are the primary focus of deep disgust - and not by only me. OOM, you have more ethics than JJG and you haven't compromised your moral standards like JJG typically does.

I treat others the same as they treat me - the so-called 'Mirror Rule' or a reciprocal treatment.

I came here almost one year ago as a friendly newbie with the desire to learn and make some friends. But totally unprovoked, I got jumped on and attacked unmercifully. You just don't easily overlook something like that, especially when one aggressor (JJG) just keeps on and on being a bully... If one is friendly and shows respect, I'll reciprocate in kind. But if they want to be a scumbag bully like JJG, they'll be treated as such. It's really pretty simple to understand, and I think as fair as anyone can expect...
