RIP Bonnie Tyler.
The news gave me a total eclipse of my heart for a minute  Sad

Damn, took me all day to swap the X5's waterpump, I'm getting too old for this shit. Smiley

I blame it on my fingers getting thicker over the years  Grin

My question is how much AI enhancement plays into these pictures.

Probably not that much, unless you edit them. Most of AI "enhancements" are scene recognition, for conservative image enhancements like sharpening, contrast, color curve and exposure adjustment. No biggie, as long as AI doesn't "add" details to the pictures.

I was using the Iphone 15 Promax for the pictures, with the flash off.  You can see that some of the photos are slightly blurry, since when I took each of them, I was taking them by hand and I would have to stay still for about 5 seconds as the camera captured the image, which it seems to have an automatic sensor for night mode since I had turned the flash off.

Fact: When exhaling, your heart rate and muscle tension is decreasing, so there is less shakyness if you press the shutter mid-exhale. This is a trick from the old days of wildlife photography, when image stabilization wasn't standard in high focal length lenses, ISO of sensors (or film) was low, so you had to hold kilograms steady as fuck for half a second.

spoke to satoshi yesterday for almost 20 minutes. talked about AI data center power draw vs mining and how nuclear seems the way to go. he also mentioned enjoying the world cup. i wont embarrass him about who he rooted for.

anyway he is getting over the minor cold that kept him down for a decade and a half and will be back soon.

Good morning w.o.

So my demented bro in law has a clean colonoscopy check up.

Good as I for one did not want him to have cancer .

And this morning the roofers are whaling away on the roof.

This house of his is 90 years old.

Four asphalt layers of roof.

Most likely every layer back to 1936 is still up there.

Noisy as 6 guys are pulling singles as I type.

I would photo it but opsec says no.

And only 2 people on the forum besides myself know where he lives.

It is nice that it is getting done it should have been done around 2018.

Morning f.u.d. usa is bombing Iran let's see gas and oil

Oh Trump cut a deal with Ukraine on a drone deal.

So war is on again.

Satoshi is rooting for Trump because his phone call changed FIFA's stance on red cards, and today in the match between France and Morocco, all Argentinian officials are officiating this game.

US Strike Hits Key Iran Rail Link To China And Russia

Iran says overnight US strikes damaged a key railway bridge linking the country to China and Russia, a strategic trade corridor that gained importance during disruptions to Gulf shipping.

Overnight US airstrikes have damaged a strategic railway bridge in northern Iran that serves as an important overland trade corridor connecting the country with China and Russia, according to Iranian media.

Iran’s Fars News Agency reported that the strikes hit the Aq Taqeh Khan railway bridge in Golestan Province, disrupting a route that passes through Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan before reaching China.

The rail corridor has become increasingly important for Iran’s trade, particularly after disruptions to shipping through the Persian Gulf earlier this year.

According to Fars, the route emerged as a critical alternative for transporting goods to China during the US blockade of Iranian Gulf ports. Since late 2025, it has also been used by Russia to move cargo into Iran.

The report did not provide details on the extent of the damage but said repair work on the bridge was expected to be completed quickly.

Trump FEARS Being Killed? ‘I’ve Been Lucky So Far’ | Chilling Iran Death Threat Remark Goes Viral

U.S. President Donald Trump has made dramatic remarks after seeing banners in Iran calling for his death. Trump said he believes he is "on all their lists" and admitted that he has been fortunate so far, adding that his luck "may not last long." Trump also described those responsible as "evil and crazy people" and referred to them as a "cancer" that must be stopped early, reigniting tensions surrounding U.S.-Iran relations. His comments come amid ongoing geopolitical friction between Washington and Tehran, raising fresh questions about regional security, political rhetoric, and the future of U.S.-Iran relations.

oh well central ac ftw. but man i cant even idle my system at that low.

I've been thinking about getting a foldable phone for a long time and the OPPO Find N6 seemed like the best choice because they managed to create the best crease of all, but looking at various reviews on YT, it seems that a phone that costs a little less than 2000 EUR isn't exactly the best when it comes to photography. As far as I can see, users complain that the photos are not realistic, that is, that the phone does not display colors in a realistic way, but improves them in a way that many people do not like.

It's not that the camera is something that's crucial on a smartphone, but if you're buying something that expensive you want everything to be perfect (or at least close to it).

Speaking of smartphones with good cameras, in this thread a user posted photos taken with his Vivo X300 Pro, and at first glance the photos look very good.

Very true. You exhale, take the slack out of the trigger, and gently squeeze (not pulling hard/fast). Makes all the difference.
