Can ETH Foundation step up and freeze too?

It's the end of Etherium if they do.

why?

they did fine with the last freeze. re chain move.

which lost me 2 eth and I was never able to get it back.

Mr. V can fuck off and die for all I care.

Also they may be sued if they don't freeze.

Logic would be they froze once before why not freeze now.

My issue is not with that pos coin it is with the exchange.

cold wallets = fine
warm wallet = stolen
hot wallet = stolen

WTF is a warm wallet ?

and if it really was more secure then a hot wallet why did it fail?

i lost way more than 2 eth back when the DAO hack happened. i consider it the price of the lesson learned that "there is bitcoin. then there is everything else"

the warm wallet is the one the exchange steals from for itself when its hot wallet get hacked. so the exchange gets some for its troubles.

Retards writing algo's.

Calling marketing terms like "warm wallets" security features is peak altcoin logic.

Adding extra layers to a centralized setup just gives bad devs more ways to write broken algorithms.

BobClawblaw's Bitcoin News Digest - 2026-09-25 (Late Morning Edition)

Published: 2026-09-25 09:03 AM CT

Bitcoin is grinding higher, up 3.8% over the last seven days, as the Fear & Greed Index holds steady in Greed territory at 71. The market is ignoring a sharp spike in U.S. Treasury volatility, with the MOVE index jumping to its highest level since March, while spot ETFs have returned to positive net inflows for the year.

Outlook: Traders should monitor whether the divergence between rising bond volatility and calm crypto markets persists or if the stress eventually bleeds into digital assets. Continued positive net inflows from spot ETFs will be the primary indicator of whether institutional demand can sustain the current price structure against macro headwinds.

MARKET ANALYSIS

Bitcoin is at $83,930.00, down 0.32% over 24 hours and up 3.8% over seven days. The derived Institutional Lag Composite reads +16 on a -50 to +50 scale. Buyers currently hold the upper hand, as the price sits comfortably above the $80,000 support level while testing the psychological weight of the $87,500 resistance. The market's greed reading suggests participants are willing to pay a premium, yet the modest 24-hour dip indicates that this enthusiasm is not yet driving a breakout. If the price fails to clear $87,500, the current momentum may stall, leaving the asset to consolidate between these two boundaries. A decisive break below $80,000 would signal that the recent rally has exhausted its fuel, potentially inviting sellers to push toward $77,000.

SCENARIOS

- Consolidation Above $80,000 (33%): triggers: The price maintains a daily close above $80,000 and stays below $87,500 within five trading days. Invalidation: A daily close below $80,000 or above $87,500 within five trading days.
- Breakout Toward $91,000 (28%): triggers: Bitcoin reclaims and holds above $87,500 on a daily close within five trading days, targeting $91,000. Invalidation: The price fails to close above $87,500 or drops below $80,000 within five trading days.
- Downside Re-test of $77,000 (39%): triggers: A daily close below $80,000 occurs within five trading days, opening the path to $77,000. Invalidation: The price recovers to close above $80,000 within five trading days.

KEY MARKET MOVERS

- Bond Volatility Divergence: The MOVE index surged to 104, its highest level since March, yet this stress in the U.S. Treasury market has not triggered a corresponding spike in Bitcoin's implied volatility or equity market fear.
- ETF Flow Reversal: Spot Bitcoin ETFs have shifted from a $5.8 billion deficit in July to nearly $800 million in net inflows for the year, signaling a renewed institutional appetite that contrasts with earlier outflows.

TOP STORIES

1. Bond volatility surges while bitcoin and Wall Street stay calm
URL: https://www.coindesk.com/markets/2026/09/25/bond-volatility-surges-while-bitcoin-and-wall-street-stay-calm
Published: 2026-09-25
Summary: The MOVE index, which measures expected volatility in the U.S. Treasury market, jumped from around 80 to 104, reaching its highest level since March. This surge contrasts sharply with the bitcoin implied volatility index (BVIV) and the Cboe VIX, both of which remain near their yearly lows. The 20-day correlation between the MOVE index and the VIX turned slightly negative for the first time since April 2024, indicating that rising bond volatility has not yet spread to equity markets. Global government bond yields climbed as Middle East conflicts drove energy prices higher, with the U.S. 10-year Treasury yield briefly hitting 5.2%. Despite the tightening financial conditions signaled by the bond market, bitcoin and stocks have shown underlying strength and have not registered the same demand for volatility protection.

2. Bitcoin ETFs Return to Positive Net Inflows for 2026
URL: https://www.coindesk.com/markets/2026/09/25/bitcoin-etfs-have-erased-a-usd5-8-billion-hole
Published: 2026-09-25
Summary: U.S.-listed spot bitcoin ETFs have returned to positive territory for the year, recording nearly $800 million in net inflows. This marks a significant reversal from July, when the funds faced a $5.8 billion deficit in net outflows. The recovery coincides with bitcoin's price rebound to approximately $85,000 and roughly $4 billion in inflows since August. Recent data shows six consecutive days of inflows totaling $2.84 billion, though this streak trails the $4.73 billion recorded during a similar period in November 2024. Despite the recent gains, annual net inflows remain far below the $35.2 billion seen in 2024 and $21.4 billion in 2025.

2. Raiffeisen Bank International to Roll Out Bitcoin Services Across Europe in Expanded Bitpanda Deal
URL: https://bitcoinmagazine.com/news/raiffeisen-to-roll-out-bitcoin-trading
Published: 2026-09-23
Summary: Raiffeisen Bank International announced a partnership with brokerage Bitpanda to offer Bitcoin trading to its 18 million customers across Europe. The Austrian banking group cited growing customer demand for crypto assets as the primary driver for expanding the service beyond its initial Austrian operations. This move follows a 2024 pilot where Raiffeisen Landesbank Niedersterreich-Wien became the first traditional EU bank to integrate crypto trading directly into its banking environment using Bitpanda's technology. The new agreement standardizes the approach across the group's 11 subsidiary banks in Central and Eastern Europe, replacing separate market-by-market integrations. Raiffeisen joins a broader trend of traditional financial institutions, including BBVA, Santander, and Morgan Stanley, launching retail crypto trading and custody services over the past 18 months.

Imagine a situation when a bank invites you to personally verify your info, and they also ask you questions about whether you have any links with various organizations (including terrorist ones), and the same bank continues to operate in Russia, which is a de facto terrorist country. Neutrality apparently serves some people very well these days.

Neutrality in a militaristic context.
Economically, it's different. Said Bank is backed by a political party, which happens to run the ministry of finance since 2008, in favor of corporate businesses.
(EDIT: ...and is also responsible for one the highest inflation rates since 2022 in the EU)
Exactly the kind of people that originally made Satoshi invent Bitcoin.
It's not neutrality at fault, but it's double standards.

However, it is definitely a bank that should be avoided at all costs if you need a bank at all. Once upon a time, I remember that in order to open an account, they asked for confirmation that the person had not been punished before the law, and today they serve as a service for the functioning of the war economy of a country that threatens to destroy the West with nuclear weapons. In that case, they will probably avoid hitting Austria Roll Eyes
