Maybe nothing is rotten—perhaps the truth is simply starting to show. 

What truth are we talking about?

There could be a sense that BTC prices had been kept down too much.. and then the after-effect might end up that the ball can no longer be kept under the water.

BTC price dynamics can be difficult to know since the tools for keeping them down may well be behind the scenes, yet at the same time, the ability to physically possess the bitcoin, might cause concerns for the paper bitcoin pushers and their confidence about getting called out on the wrong side of a trade, since "we" already know that they don't have the bitcoin that they claim to have, yet the "truth" might relate to the extent to which they are off sides rather than the fact that they are off sides.

I think that we all use wallets, since even paper ways to save bitcoin keys are referred to as "paper wallets."

I doubt that there are any needs to be a prude in regards to how bitcoin keys are stored, since there had also been some problems with the paper bitcoin wallet generators, and for sure it would be a shame to come back to a paper wallet and discover that it had already been swept.

I am not claiming that I can speak to the supposed benefits of paper wallets, and surely there are issues with change generation.. sweep the whole wallet, and then can it be divided? or does it all have to be swept?  Back in the day, putting bitcoin into 1 BTC chunks made sense, and does it now?  How about 0.1 BTC chunks?  Even that seems generous in regards to management, no?

BTC is still hanging around the $84k area. The last few days have been pretty quiet compared with the earlier move, with price mostly staying in the mid-$80k range.
I’m mainly watching whether BTC can get back above the recent highs or if we see another test of the lower part of the range.
No strong prediction from me yet. Just waiting to see which side gets more momentum.

There is excitement - especially if we add the baby stairsteps together, and we are still not going to know what is going to happen, or are we being faked out.

Perhaps our first stairstep was around 9/19 to 8/21 when BTC prices went largely from $64,500 to $76k-ish.

Then we largely ranged between $76k-ish and $82k-ish.. and perhaps we had another break upward, but still largely ranging between $84k-ish and $86k-ish.. so yeah, what is to watch?  another leg up? or is that it?

Many of us have experienced that even when BTC prices are largely going up without any major corrections, there tends to be pauses within such periods to cause concerns about whether the UP might be over, or not.  There is no real way of knowing - even though I would imagine that many of us had already been stacking up, even though surely there are always hold outs too, so can't really characterize all of us in the same grouping.

And, almost always in these kinds of times, we have guys who are hanging out and seeming to expect that the "bottom is not in" yet.. and surely this time is likely not to be different, with guys specifically fucking around with October 5/6 as if there were some magic in that?  And other guys who are willing to fuck around (failing/refusing) without stocking back up until the end of October and into November. 

Some of those guys are likely close to completely delusional, which may well be part of the explanation for their still trading bitcoin even after a decade or more of opportunity to really build up a bitcoin position through buying/HODLing only, but some guys cannot help themselves into thinking that they are smarter than everyone else, yet still likely to be doing worse than the overwhelming majority of regular bitcoin stacker/HODLers who had stayed focused on stacking rather than fucking around trying to accumulate BTC by trading.

Since you are brand new here, can we presume that you have not already built up a bitcoin stash?  Hopefully, either you already built up a bitcoin stash, yet if not, you are not fucking around figuring out price moves rather than persistently, consistently, regularly, ongoingly and perhaps even aggressively buying dee cornz.

In other words, it tends to be better to build up a bitcoin holding size first before starting to get concerned about BTC prices, and for sure, depending on how much bitcoin you are able to stack (presuming between 5% and 25% of your income), then surely it could take 4 years to 20 years to merely stack one year of your income depending on whether you are stacking more on the aggressive side or more on the whimpy side.

Exactly. At this point if you type coherent English you get called a bot, and if you type complete gibberish they say the prompt was tailored. No winning here.

I am no expert on this but there are a few here that are but for fun I am going to take a guess and tell me how close I am.

You were educated in a British english school and migrated to Europe and use AI to polish and research your Ideas before posting.

I like Phil's style. Just type in all-lowercase and leave misspellings in, no edits, no corrections. Very authentic.

As for me, I would edit a post just to add a missing comma.

Sometimes I actually bother to write very neat, clear, clean English. Actually using grammar and spelling correctly.

I have found it is boring to write correctly and prefer the sloppy from the heart junk as a much more authentic style of writing.

This made me think about a fictional thread on bitcointalk called "Block Observer BTC/UTC", which got me into daydreaming a rabbit hole for quite some time  
The last idea before i tuned out was the screensaver. Is this even possible, a cross-platform screensaver using remote content?
I know that there is no real "cross platform" solution, but i mean native versions for commonly used OS like OSX, windoze and linux.

Chat bots are old news anyway.  I never really liked the AI trend and thought it was pretty lame until Grok Bot came out.  Now it is controlling the temperature in my house, giving me feedback on my investment portfolio, documenting my spending, watching my security cameras, cataloging my online posts, founding/running an LLC, and as of 5 minutes ago is now live trading crypto by itself without asking my approval for anything using it's own wallet.  Absolutely amazing.  I'm expecting it to slowly lose all the money I give it, but maybe at some point (when we are firmly in a bull market) I can use this thread and people's opinions here to influence trades and see if money can be made using the "alpha" in this thread (which is mostly people saying to buy Bitcoin).

The github has both bmc and blockyard working on Apple Silicon in addition to the existing solid support for Linux. I've not updated packaging or made a new release. I'm at the point where I've made the PoC, and now hunkering down for hardening and release for a real product.

First up will be a bmc + blockyard docker for people to run in a secured environment to get comfortable this thing isn't going to do anything nefarious.

I don't know if I want to support Windows tho. It's not a serious operating system for Bitcoiners.

A song about the largest & longest running thread on Bitcointalk, the Wall Observer.

I've been working on this one for a while, and it admittedly got longer than I wanted, but I hoped to get as many names as I could in there. No offense to anyone I may have missed, there was only so much room, and I didn't want it to just be a song of names, I wanted to try and tell a story.

But, even at the expense of dragging the song on, I still forced a lot of lyrics in here to try and accommodate. Hopefully I got the pronunciation correct on them all!

* The lyrics all come from respect and for acknowledgement, but I also tried to keep things fun, so hopefully no WOers were harmed in the making of this song.
