The only thing that gives me some consolation is that Tim Draper is WAY more in the red on his bitcoin investment than I am. Unless.... he's the one doing all the selling.

Hmm...had a terrible thought....I started mining on Oct 18th 2013....BTC was $150
it is now Oct 3rd 2014
not sure if I'm liking this 'reset' of a trend don't ya know
It's obviously extremely bad for Bitcoin. Anybody who thinks otherwise is delusional. There is nothing, really nothing positive about this 10 month downtrend.

... As long as I am holding and not selling (or just buying at these prices) the "whales" are the desperate ones. They are doing everything they can to try to pry my hands open but as I holder I am not giving my "power" away. Hold on! Make those whales suffer. >Unchecked love of money >Christianity Eww. Just because I am "christian" does not mean that I cannot be a women that fears God and invests in something: From proverbs 31: 16 She considers a field and buys it; with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard. 17 She dresses herself with strength and makes her arms strong. 18 She perceives that her merchandise is profitable. ]I perceive Bitcoin as profitable. That is all. It is not wrong. The Lord gives and the Lord takes away. If Bitcoin goes to zero tomorrow, at least I was looking for something I perceived as "profitable" and I have done nothing wrong. Why such hate?

I haven't heard much about the Bitcoin ETF lately. There seemed to be some consensus that it would open by the end of 2014. Maybe an "entity" of some sort knows something the rest of us do not know yet? This would explain a lot about why the price is being desperately pushed down.
i think they keep filling it and it keeps getting rejected, someone posted a link the other day and you could see them filling it every few months. not sure if legit or even how these things work tho... maybe regulators are waiting for the "bottom" to open it up to the public? idk. SEC rejects application for Winklevoss COIN ETF due to Bitcoin's apparent slide toward death. More news at 11. /sarcasmNow that would depress me! But things were looking good, especially with the hiring of Kathleen Moriarty, a lawyer that has had great success in getting ETFs pushed through, even ones that are not as valid as a Bitcoin ETF would be. Just my thoughts. Patience people. You are expecting too much of the news and some minor events (spotted multiple times). This market is not run by the news. True. News hasn't seemed to effect the price much lately, and perhaps you are right that my expectations are unrealistic. But I think that the ETF will be a little different in that it opens a door for a different kind of investor to get involved with BTC and there are millions of dollars that could very easily be thrown into BTC in a matter of days or weeks. Why you think so? Others said so about ETF right... ? Look at my post about ETF few days ago. ETF could bring higher prices, but not because of ETC, but because of usage, performance and traction of BTC. ETF can also bring even lower prices if Bitcoin is not doing well (all these millions can short it).

any reason why we drop so LOW? Yes because 1 or more persons are dumping insane amounts of coins without giving room for any growth. I thought that was clear by now.

Why such hate? Price going down is good for you: "Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God." Matthew 19:24 If you become rich you go to hell.. just saying. And that quote about manual honest labour is not comparable to this investment scheme you got going on (make everyone else work for your riches).

Just do this on chinese exchanges without fees and trade 100 BTC back and forth 500x. Job done. Bottom reached. Price goes up. Holders happy. Bitcointalk.org happy. Bitcoin happy. Satoshi happy. Everyone happy.

NO naked short selling!
