Calm before the storm  Wink
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

I have noticed that the price goes on an up trend starting Sunday night and goes until Thursday. Then starting Friday morning the price takes a dump and the dumps seem the most strong around Saturdays. Then the whole process repeats. Anybody else notice this trend?

Adam, that sucks man. I had some marital issues a couple years ago... really tough emotionally, but we worked it out. Ultimately neither of us wanted to be with anyone else. Worst case scenario, when you're Bitcoin rich maybe she will come crawling back Cool

In other news, looks like a bottom forming on the daily chart. If we get another dip the remaining sellers will be shaken out at the right shoulder, leaving the runway clear for bulls to take back control.

Make sure the private keys for your bitcoins are under your sole control, just in case.

Welcome to my ignore list. Idiot.

Did you know: the English suffix "-ant" (like the far more common suffix "-er") is attached to a verb to signify a person who does the corresponding action.  Thus, for example, "to claim" --> "claimant", "to defend" --> "defendant",  "to protest" --> "protestant", etc..  So, beware: every time you click on the "ignore" button, you become more ignorant.

One time he said he has over 100 people on his ignore list. He'd be better served with a whitelist. It's indicative of how he just can't handle things as they are. Yay filter bubble.

Bull-tard logic:

"My investment should go up in price even though it takes a few sellers to stop an uptrend, I wish they would just stop helping price discovery and let the price go up in an unsustainable manner".

Surprise: your idea of how a market is supposed to work is naive to say the least.
If BTC goes down in price is not because ugly selfish dumpers are pissing on your parade.

OH LOOK another dump. Thanks dumbass traders, we could have been well past the ATH by now, if the stupid traders weren't always ruining it. Does it make you happy to destroy bitcoin?

If selling would destroy Bitcoin, I am in the wrong game. Just be patient. Many years if necessary.

I have been waiting patiently since when I bought last year at $1100. Everyone told me that we were going up to $1,500 at least, so I went all in and now I'm being told I have to wait YEARS??? People, please, just stop selling and we will go back to the ATH immediately. This is market manipulation, it's so obvious. Just hold and don't let them win!

Looking at Bitcoin's past, it would have been worthwhile to think twice about stepping into a punishing market like Bitcoin. Obvious pump will come down, and slowly. It would have been better to get in at a later time, as was the case with the 2 previous pumps. But that is hindsight.

Your biggest problem is 'everyone'. Stop-Listening-To 'everyone'. Make up your own mind. If this thing is a dud to you, get out and lick your wounds. If you have faith in this thing or can imagine a bigger pump, hold on for a little longer and perhaps dollar average in some further.

But.do this yourself, and not because of 'everyone'.

I is still a way better chance than the lottery.

Cheesy a little paranoid  Cheesy (must be single) if your other half doesn't like Bitcoin you've probably never had the opportunity to show them how it works.

Just a glimpse of the total time logged in is evidence of cheating. Thank a god my wife doesn't know those are 24 hour days.

Sorry to hear that Adam.

Long downtrends are great for the few who are into bitcoin right now, they can short or spend more time collecting bitcoins to go long with.

But long downtrends are terrible for growth, nobody new has any incentive to jump into a slowly sinking ship.

I hope we can have a few weeks of stability, around 350-400 dollar region.

Who am I though, this market is unlike anything else I've seen and the honey badger always surprises me, even after over 2 years of on/off trading I still cant predict the next week Cheesy

Ahh.  Sad  I will pray you both can work it out.  Relationships are hard work sometimes, but worth fighting for.  I don't know the entire situation but I would think that she is just trying to get your "attention" this way for whatever needs she feels aren't being met.  Women need attention, usually way more than seems rational to men, and perhaps us women are all illogical but that is just the way it is.  Undecided

Also, you can take a break from Bitcoin if needed. This board would survive without you for a few days. Wink
