The 2016 Titan Bitcoins are up for sale.  All 2016 coins include a 30-digit private key underneath the hologram.  These coins are minted in 1 Troy ounce (31.1 grams) of either silver or gold.  We've limited the production of these to only 100 gold coins and 1,000 silver coins, (just enough to cover our costs for the artwork, sculptures and minting).  We make these for the bitcoin community because we're passionate about digital currency.

The face of the coin depicts Lady Justice, standing against the wind while she intently compares two locked blocks.  Their key hangs around her neck.  Justice is a depiction of blockchain technology.  She weighs her blocks while blindfolded, symbolizing the fair and transparent treatment by which each transaction in the blockchain is evaluated.   Her key has the power to seal the contents in each block forever, and is a symbol of the security of blockchain technology.  Above her, is the Latin motto of "Unum Pecuniae" which means, "One currency for all".

Each coin is pre-loaded with 1 BTC.  To redeem, you can simply peel back the hologram and enter the private key into your wallet of choice.  See a quick tutorial here: https://www.titanbtc.com/how-to-redeem-private-key-titan-bitcoins/

These are priced with a fixed-dollar markup over current spot prices, as seen below.  All prices include USPS priority shipping + insurance in the US.

2016 Silver - 1 BTC + $149

2016 Gold - 1 BTC + $375 + spot gold (~$1,240 as of posting)

For example, with Bitstamp @ $1,040, one silver coin would be 1.143 BTC and one gold coin would be 2.552 BTC.

Please PM me or email sales@titanbtc.com with your shipping address and what coins you're interested for an exact quote.  We also offer discounts for volume purchases (10+) and we'll happily accept payment by BTC, check, or wire transfer.

For those who haven't bought from Titan before, the private keys for these coins are printed on securely air-gapped computers and printers, after which the hard drives used are securely wiped.  The printed private key underneath the hologram is the only copy in existence.  Feel free to PM me or email guardians@titanbtc.com for more details on security.

For non-U.S. gold buyers, we use FedEx for international shipments of gold.  Contact me for a shipping quote if you're interested.  It typically costs about $80 USD to Europe, $120 USD to areas of Asia that allow importation of gold.  Please double check that it is legal in your country to buy gold from the U.S. before reaching out (Sorry Russia)

Lastly, while Silver coins can ship immediately there is a 2-3 week lead time at the moment on the gold coins.  These gold coins are hand-minted from hand-cast blanks, which makes maintaining quality more art than science.  As a result we regularly re-make batches to get them right.  If you're looking for low production numbers on gold coins, you can pay now to reserve a number.  I'll update this thread when the latest batch of gold is ready to ship, and again when the gold is sold out.

P.S.  This community has been hugely supportive over the years and I couldn't be happier to give back and bring a little bit of beauty to you guys/girls.  Thanks again! Wink

Thanks for the kind words!

The numbering is on the COA, and we'll be updating the website so that scanning the coin's QR code or visiting it's webpage shows the production number as well.

I would love to see numbers on the actual coins some day. The CoA are nice and all, but they are just an extra something to keep track of.

Edit: Or even just printed onto the holograms

Did you fund the coins in 2016 or will they not be funded until 2017 when they are received?

I agree.  We actually tried laser marking serials on this run of coins, and ran into some production trouble so we called it off.  I'm hoping we'll find a work around and have physically engraved numbers in the next edition.

These are funded when customers confirm they've safely received them.

For those that are seeing a higher price on the website and seeing them "Out of stock" there...

We're offering these to forum members and prior customers first before they go to the "general public".  They'll be in stock on the site as soon as we've touched base with current collectors on our mailing list.

I have done multiple deals with Tim from titanbtc.com over the years (and currently doing some right now Wink ), and he has a 100% vouch from me.

I have bought quite a few of these beautiful new 2016 Titans, and I know for a fact that I am not going to be disappointed!

Cheers Smiley

Love the coins I also dealt with Tim directly in the past, Titan coins are awesome.

Would be nice to know what numbers are still available for purchase especially of the gold one as I'm aware some were sold privately directly to some users who may have had first dibs at the coins.

Thanks.

Same question. Would like to know if the 24k Gold coin would ever be available not funded.
But available with the option to do it later. So the hologram w/bitcoin address included on the back side of the coin.
Love the look of this coin by the way!
Thanks.

It has always been a dream to own a fine gold Bitcoin. And with Bitcoin about to cross gold spot price soon, it's a great time. Unfortunately it is hard to afford an item like that, but if you are willing to accept a 2016 U.S Indian Fine Gold Proof Coin (in special box) for the spot price, then I can afford it! Please let me know, I also sent a PM.
