I have created http://www.iconomi.news as an approach to build a website with daily news on ICONOMI and also a lot of resources such as tutorials, how-to's and other cool stuff to come. Check it out. This is not an official website by the ICONOMI team. Hope we can spread the word of ICONOMI through http://www.iconomi.news. Also check out the FAQ to see what this website is about: https://iconominews.herokuapp.com/faq/

Why do you think so? If bitcoin price goes up,other cryptos are bound to fail.A lot of people may opt to sell their ICN holding if bitcoin price goes up

As long as the percent decrease in BTC:ICN is less than the percent increase in USD:BTC then USD:ICN increases despite the decrease in BTC:ICN. We already saw this when BTC rallied to 1000 and BTC:ICN stayed pretty much the same leading to an increase in fiat valuation of ICN.

Nope, if their price will be going stable and the people will always keep his coin. But SEC will impact a lot for the crypto and I can say it will make a lot of money for the crypto users.

Now I've concluded my ICN buying spree, I'd like to share some of the reasons why I continue to accumulate ICN & consider ICN as a value investment at this point:

1. The fact that US investors cannot participate in ICNX/ICNP sales is not a big deal. US funds can always enter Iconomi platform via offshore hedge funds and asset management companies with a focus on alternative investment and having a globally diversified portfolio. Not having to deal with US regulations is actually a big plus as it would've added too much overhead to the cost of doing business (which translates to less dividends to ICN holders).

2. Tim & Jani have been working diligently behind the scene and have made great progress in gaining industry crediblity & standing by attending high-profile conferences & networking with potential fund investors. As shown by the recent TechCrunch & EconoTimes articles, Iconomi has earned mainstream recognition and is covered by major financial and tech media in the US.

3. One thing I really love about ICN is that it is guarded by veteran investors who are mature & disciplined, and not easily swayed by FUDs & misled by rumors.  The fact that almost 60% of ICN is still in reserve makes me believe that majority of ICN investors are long-term players and not short-term pump&dumpers which would make the price very volatile.  As a long-term value investor, I see ICN as one of the safest & inflation-proofed investment options at the moment.

I'm very happy with my investment, and I'd like to thank both Tim & Jani for their tirelessly effort to bring Iconomi to the world stage.  One suggestion I have for Jani: Once Iconomi platform is launched, I hope you guys can focus on attracting offshore fund managers instead of retail market, everyday investors.  For instance, there are at least 10,500 registered investment funds in Cayman Islands alone.  You should go after the big fishes, not just small fries crypto traders.  Grin Cheesy Cheesy Grin Grin

Hi Iconomi (Jani),

I see you are online, so I have a crazy question for you.

Do you think it will be possible to package "ICNX" or similar crypto index funds as a regular exchange-traded ETF and get them listed on exchanges in Malta or Isle of Man, for instance?

I am thinking of places where regulations are less strict.  I'm curious what you guys think.  The reason I'm mentioning is that I believe Iconomi has the first-mover advantage at this point.. Iconomi has enough funding to go very BIG in my opinion.

Thank you!

As a seasoned global funds investor, I'd like to offer the following suggestions to Team Iconomi:

1. Opening satellite Financial Services companies (IBC or investment funds) in jurisdictions such as Cayman, Panama, or Virgin Islands.  Repackage ICNX/ICNP as regular offshore investment funds and use it to solicit funding from US-based investors (or locales with more stringent requirements).

2. Repackage ICNX and ICNP as regular exchange-traded ETF and get them listed on exchanges in Malta, Cayman, Isle of Man, and Gibraltar for starter.  It doesn't cost much to get a ETF listed in those locales, and it will certainly help Iconomi and ICNX gain legitimacy in the business world.

3. Use first-mover advantage and Iconomi's Big pocket to take out potential competitors.  You can actually launch moves similar to hostile takeover via ICOs, but I don't want to talk too much about it here.

Sky is the limit, Use your imagination!

Dear Team Iconomi,

As a true believer of Iconomi platform, I have the following advices for you.

In USA alone, Asset Management and Trust Administration are "billion dollars business." I'd really love to see Iconomi going after big asset companies with a focus on alternative asset classes & investment.

I'd reallly love seeing Iconomi pursuing multiple strategies:

1. Selling platform services to Big Institutional Players such as Asset Management and Trust companies in North America & Europe.

2. Repackage Crypto funds as regular exchange-traded ETF and get them listed on stock exchanges with less stringent rules.

3. Selling offshore investment funds as financial products to investors in more stringent locales (ie. USA).

4. Opening trading platform to individual traders who wish to serve as fund/alternative asset managers.

Don't be afraid to dream and go BIG!  Smiley

Here's a partial list of some of Iconomi's potential users and clients:

Following my previous discussion -

I'd suggest Team Iconomi to see this as the priority:

Immediately following Iconomi Platform's official launch in March, Set up an investment fund vehicle in Cayman, Set up a small satellite office in the USA (or hire an independent fund manager/solicitor based in the USA)...

I can recommend some very reliable registered agents handling Panama/Cayman IBC if needed.

My current recommendation is to set up a Financial Services Company in the Panama or Set up a Registered Investment Fund in the Cayman. They're the cheapest and easiest to launch.

Thank you.  Smiley

Guys, no more FUD please, it will destroy the coin, ICN is the best funding platform project, it is legit, you just spread FUD here for cheap price, then you are immoral.

Only reason they would FUD is to get back in cheaper and get more ICN or it's a competing project. There's no ICN margin trading so that's my guess.
