Everything comes to a stand still when there's a war so that wouldn't be different if a Third World War was to broke out. Bitcoin will suffer in such a circumstance just like any other thing or systems in place.

What if World War 3 breakout ?
Do you expect bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to go down in price ? As people will swtich to hard cash or gold?
Note : There are wide power outages, servers getting down, no electrictiy and everything bad you can expect if WW3 happens
Most likely, technology will become worthless when world war will take place. People will only need the basic necessities to live and worst to survive, food and shelter is necessary and even gold and fiat will become worthless if the situation gets worsen. |

If russia and the united states went to war, I think the world economy would bankrupt itself.
Waging war in the middle east has inflicted trillions of dollars of damage to the economies of many nations with no tangible positive returns to show for the funds and unfortunate lives expended.
A larger war with russia would likely be orders of magnitude worse for everyone.
War is too expensive. Its not cost effective. There is nothing to be gained from it.
I don't know if the internet being destroyed would stop cryptocurrencies.
Bitcoin could operate on tablets, cell phones and portable devices via satellite communications if the main internet went down.
War seems like a bad prospect. It is confusing why anyone pursues it.

On my own oppinion people will be turn their money into digital currency first thing is bitcoin can be lift easily and it can be access world wide even where you country you go and just remember the email and password you put there. Bitcoin can be easily exchange into fiat if you want too  |

If World War 3 will happen(i don't hope it will) the Bitcoin and other crypto currencies will drop in rate because like you said it most people will use cash or gold. And you actually answered yourself if the servers get down people can't use the Bitcoin. |

The third world war? If the outbreak really, I think this time you should not be worried about bitcoin prices down, you should worry about their own lives. When people began to consider the life safety, bitcoin will probably not worth a hair. Yes, in the world war III I think crypto will not be affected overall so that the price down drastically because the crypto price is not affected by situation or politics in a country. But World War III will have an impact on a country's economy becomes worse because losses resulting from the war, and internet access will be impaired. Maybe the economic crisis will happen again, so we had to worry about our lives. How do you believe that entire human race will not get affected from nuclear weapons. I'm not seeing any possibility for that. I'm sure another world of our will be the end of human in planet Earth. So there will be no human, no country, no economy and hence no bitcoins. A world war without nuclear weapons will give different scenario like economic crisis may boost bitcoin value appreciations. Sorry but I never said that all humans will never be affected from World War III, it was certainly influences like hunger, loss, damage, etc. But effects of World War III will not make bitcoin prices fall. If happen World War III all currencies around the world will experience very high inflation and even some countries will be acquired by other countries that maybe causing the country's currency becomes invalid. The world crisis which makes paper currency inflation tends to cause bitcoin prices to rise because inflation/hyperinflation. Not to mention the trend of people are scrambling to buy bitcoin to avoid inflation. Because a limited number of bitcoin will cause demand is much greater than the amount of goods on the market. Bitcoin prices will definitely experience a sharp spikes, so will not be affected overall which makes prices fall. |

You already answered you question but for me. If world war 3 will happen probably those investors or those holders of bitcoin will be died and their bitcoin will be stocked on their bitcoin wallet and for sure if the ceo and the creator of blockchain will be rich for sure. |

You already answered you question but for me. If world war 3 will happen probably those investors or those holders of bitcoin will be died and their bitcoin will be stocked on their bitcoin wallet and for sure if the ceo and the creator of blockchain will be rich for sure.Not at all because the owner of blockchain.info can't just take away your bitcoins. There's also no way of finding out if the person that owns that particular wallet has died from the world war. There are wallets that have never been touched since 2013 and then gets their funds moving again this year because the price has been increasing a lot. The owner of blockchain might assume that the person owning that wallet is already dead when in fact the owner was just holding for a really long time. |

I think every commodity that is considered luxurious like gold, jewels, computers would go down in price. People tend not to care about stuff like investments when bombs are falling on their heads.
Also in every world war there were countries that stayed outside of the conflict. It's possible bitcoin would thrive there.
If a country with a big nuclear arsenal began using it then there is not a reason to think they will limit themselves somehow just to the nations they are in conflict with, they may decide to bomb everyone out of spite. |

of course bitcoin would suffer, but it would become an even better alternative for the cash or fiat that we are having right now, because bitcoin needs only internet and nothing else. The war back then would be different from the war that's going to happen in the future. Back then, we have tanks, guns, and all those stuffs that you typically see in a movie. But today, we have nuclear bombs, and other deadly/lethal weapons that can destroy a whole nation. Probably most of the ISP towers would be already destroyed after the next war. Since bitcoins need the Internet, it would take a couple of months before all those towers will be repaired. Another thing, people would be waiting for the electricity lines to be fixed. Since you need electricity to charge your phone/laptop, you wouldn't be able to use bitcoins at that time. Probably the same fiat will be used by most of us right after the world war. After a couple of months, there might be a problem with a nation's fiat so they'd choose to use bitcoins instead. |

The movie Incendies - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Incendies was the saddest film I saw about war. All her life was shattered and end up in Canada. Before she died she left a wiling testament for his kids and the kids discover things they didn't knew about her mom which was rape during the war and her rapist was their brother who turnout to be a torturer of the prison camp. Warlords are the only who can see where things are going. If war broke, Bitcoin will be displaced and may no longer be valuable. |

Bitcoin is still not mainstream so if World War 3 breakout today,people will certainly forget bitcoin and switch to their national currency.Governments will also ban bitcoin and come down heavily on those who use it.I think the kind of weapons that we now have are sufficient to wipe out almost half of our civilization and without basic infrastructure,bitcoin is useless. |

When we face global natural disaster or world war 3 - then believe me, thinking about keeping your bitcoin or stash of precious metals will be the least thing you will do.
I learned war stories from people who lived though World War 2, to keep their lives they left everything they own behind: money, antiques, houses, everything valuable.
Western civilization is too soft nowadays, people think there will be time to backup your bitcoin wallet and pack your things when the war will hit us...
