How is the new website going, would love to see some teasers or mock ups. Is there any progress? Zero is holding strong today with all alts dumping.
Happy to hear the coin is doing well. I don't check it day-to-day.
The work on the site is proceeding fine.
If you were to write a specific blog post regarding the ZERO, what would it be about?
  Tearo

I came to know this coin today, and found it interesting!!!

Does it use zero-knowledge proofs or zero-knowledge contingent payment ZKCP???

Is there a roadmap???

This project has or had a lot of potential but with the core team vanished I don't put much stock in this having a future. Need an active dev with talent or else nothing will happen.

Are there any pointers as to how to fine-tune GTX 1080's for mining using the Optiminer software linked on page 1?
I'm currently having my rig of 1080's at +110 on core and +800 on mem but each GPU is only averaging ~6-7 sol/s...
I haven't set any parameters. I think it defaults to intensity=1.

Any suggestions welcome!

@gtx 1080
your attitudes are okay,
There's nothing more to do

@gtx 1080ti

with the gtx 1080 ti I could reach a maximum of
core clock 1970mhz
ram + 600 - 700
power target 120 %
intensity 1
Right... My values are with power target at 80%. So I assume I am pretty much on the ball?

EDIT: as a matter of fact my miner's crashing after a few mintues. Gonna try to lower those clocks a little.

it might be because of that but it may not be.
you have to increase the virtual ram

i had big problems with windows 10 at the beginning
with linux I had no problems at all
8gb virtual ram per graphics card
with linux it is not necessary at all

some people run it under windows
without problems
you have to find the right configuration
I know, I've got a max of 64GB virtual mem set.
There's very little info & shared experiences on that miner so I'm dabbing in the dark.

Just noticed: 100% CPU load! WTF is this miner?? Is this the only available option? No wonder rigs are crashing...

Ok let me rephrase:

Has anyone managed to run this stable on a multi-gpu rig using Windows 10?

If so I'd be interested in knowing what parameters you used.

I had (some) success when starting a miner instance per gpu, more stable than running one instance for all, but still crashes.
The high CPU usage has been known for quite some time, regarding to opti it has to do with the way cuda on windows works.
Its not actually doing work on cpu, but filling it up with wait cycles.
Works perfectly for amd on windows, but not nvidia unfortunately.
Only "solution" i know of is to run it on linux.
Very sad, one 1080ti is capable of 15 S/s.

hi Gaglam, have you also tray to reserve 5x8G = 40 GB of virtual memory on windows?

Please let me know
Cheers

I've been running 2x GTX 1070 quietly for several months with the following vbs script. Copy the first section below into a text file and save it as run.vbs in your optiminer folder. Then copy the second section into a bat file you can use to execute the script. This will setup up a wrapper that will automatically restart optiminer every time it crashes.

The windows notification for a crashed program will also need to be disabled, otherwise a popup box will prevent the program from restarting.

run.vbs
*******************

Dim objShell
Dim strErrorCode
Dim comspec
Dim i
Dim j

Set objShell = CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
comspec = objShell.ExpandEnvironmentStrings("%comspec%")
i=0

do

i=i+1
   Set oExec = objShell.Exec(comspec & " /c optiminer -s zero.suprnova.cc:6568 -u xxxx.xxx -p xxxx -m 8080")

   Do While oExec.Status = 0
      WScript.Sleep 100
        j=0
      do while oExec.StdOut.AtEndOfStream=false
         WScript.echo oExec.Stdout.ReadLine()
         j=j+1
         if j>25 then
            WScript.echo "Restart Count is " & i
            j=0
         end if
      loop
   Loop

   WScript.Sleep 500

loop

*****************

Start.bat

*****************

SET GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR=1

cscript run.vbs

pause

We should all buy and sell some Zero from time to time just for the extra volume and liquidity. These things are often overlooked but matter a lot in a coins life. I think I am going to dedicate a part of my stash for volume making if I manage to find the time.

heya,

don't do anything, everything's okay
wait a few more days then the zero price will go up extremely high

 Wink

Soon we will see if your prediction is reasonable. Zero in accumulation phase now, with the some news from the developer price may rise fast. Hope to see it really soon.

@lokko thanks for your help so far and invite to slack. I've been looking in to it and have decided not to mine zero for now. I've noticed a few issues for those mining with Win10 and Nvidia cards.
I do like the coin though and will continue to purchase them on the exchange when I see a good opportunity. Good luck and best wishes with the project.

cheers
groko.
