somebody should make a 'predictacoin' site where you can make you official predictions on market trends and it keeps track of your accuracy, if enough people use it then we are bound to have some people with a high 'prophet' rating.

Yeah I have been suggesting the same thing. That way you can follow the best predictors. Like Forex Experts. Talkgold is running a contest giving away $300 to the person who guess's the closest Bitcoin price: http://www.talkgold.com/forum/r331610-.html

There is this post by yeponlyone in the Bitcoin Discussion area I'd like to reply: https://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=18084.0somebody should make a 'predictacoin' site where you can make you official predictions on market trends and it keeps track of your accuracy, if enough people use it then we are bound to have some people with a high 'prophet' rating. I think this is a great idea. There is crowdpark.com where you can do social forecasting, which is also a great idea. Just signed up there and created a "bet" about the BTC price on August 1st. http://www.crowdpark.com/tech/computer-internet/what-will-the-price-be-for-bitcoin-on-mtgox-on-august-1st-m_5tI0.aspxThey also have something they pay with/bet for (C$). Maybe somebody convince them to pay with BTC or somebody wants to code a crowdpark-like site based on bitcoin. Think that would help bitcoin a lot...

I seriously doubt you could get any good prediction out of it (it is impossible in principle), but try it as long as you have fun.

Something I'd really love to see implemented is a nice bitcoin prediction market (google it if you don't know what a prediction market is). Predictions don't even need to be related to bitcoins, you can bet on the temperature tomorrow or the outcome of the superbowl.

It's called Bitcoin Options.
I figured by the OP, he meant a site with user names that could make predictions, for bitcoins or without, and there is an accuracy meter given, to show the top prediction makers. Not quite the same.

That's pretty much exactly how http://caps.fool.comruns. Even to the point of users ranked, different medals ("best at being bearish" 'best at being bullish" "has called over 3 bankruptcys" etc) as well as overall scores and overall accuracy

This just launched: http://www.spaculator.com/It's a silly game now, but maybe it grows into something like an options market in the future. Check it out, feedback welcome.

I'm developing on *nix which allows select+copy on dialog boxes. Will fix, thanks for feedback.

OK I put some jQuery dialog there instead of a popup. Hope it works now. BTW payb.tc, since Spaculator uses bitcoin addresses as user account names, maybe your service ( http://bitnot.es/) might come in handy.
