LTC still seems to be heading to Gox. I would not be surprised if we saw it bubble to $10. We may have enough people waiting to cash out LTC on Gox that it keeps the price down. Anyway, I only started mining as a hobby so I'm very happy with the price, then again that hobby has now somewhat become my life.

ya.. ok so it seems like everyone here just wants it to go on gox and dump it for more money.
so gox alone makes the value of the coins go up/

GOX recipe for quick wad of pocket cash:

1) receive initial inquiries about LTC on GOX. Ignore them

2) Buy cheap LTC

3) Answer further inquiries regarding LTC on GOX with optimistic non-committal non-answers along the lines of "eventually" and "details will be published at a latter date", inducing buy hysteria

4) sell LTC for BTC on other exchanges right into the huge buywave

5) PROFIT!!!

Not strictly true, Litecoin broke $1 quite a few hours before the gox news surfaced, I was on btc-e.com when it happened and when it broke $1 it went on a mini-bull run independently of the mtgox news. Then of course later that day the mtgox news surfaced and it gave it a ridiculous boost.

It seems like it's in the pipeline but they have just been delayed with other things. That ticker is pretty good evidence (along with their own announcements) that something LTC/NMC is in the works.

I actually suspect the price might take an incredible dive at first. People dumping like no tomorrow- there will be a lot of LTC coming in from the cold..wallets. So it's gonna be mighty liquid.

I tweeted GOX again about LTC and this was their reply:

Hello,

There are plans to implement other crypto-currencies in the future, Currently we don't have any time frame. However none of these are currently confirmed. We will post an announcement once this is available.

It's gone from vague to disheartening. Previously they said, "soon" now they say "We don't have any time frame" in addition to "None of these are currently confirmed."  Cry

If you doubt the veracity of this, tweet them yourselves.

This is pretty fishy... There was a very clear announcement of gox that they will add ltc soon and now they act like nothing was promised...

At one point they promised "2 weeks" which then slipped to "soon" which then changed to "we don't have any time frame".

But to be honest they should just come out and say what is up. I understand if the lawsuit and stuff is slowing them down, but to just slowely let us down (and the market) is not cool. You either are or you aren't. But now this in my mind is a clear "not any time soon" or "no".

seems like they want to, but are getting delayed.

here's how i interpret this situation:

they're going to put it off and put it off while they work on making their site work well, and fighting this lawsuit.

people are going to give up on the whole ltc on gox thing and cash out their ltc stacks, dropping the price.

gox is FINALLY going to get around to putting ltc up, and millions of new eyes are going to drive the price up.

so far I dont mind this turn of events.

I think that's exactly the point- all we can do is try to 'interpret' the situation. If the truth is that Gox WILL do LTC, then you damn well know someone at the company knows this and could easily be buying up as much LTC at other exchanges as they possible can. It's not nice to leave us in such a limbo when GOX was once the pride of the community.

Wake up, it is nothing more than a LTC price manipulation by mtgox, they probably made 10X on their money by creating this rumor. You think a real company would announce something like "we will add support for LTC", and then 45 days later nothing has happened? This episode will be forgotten soon enough, while LTC price slowly slip back into pre-bubble levels.

For what our opinions are worth, I believe Gox truly does intend to add LTC to their site.  I don't think they are lying just to make some short term profit on LTC.  Let's just wait and see.

Apparently you are unfamiliar with the term "GOXED". Definition: Being effectively fooled and/or trolled repeatedly by mtgox.
