so because there is now ONE! blockchain from dubai government you think there will be no reason for any other blockchain? which other blockchain you know covering all services usable on it? there will be several major blockchains required for all the services and just think about. DBIX has already two other partners with own coins and they are not competitors but partners.... - everyone of them targets different kinds of services. This coin from Dubai government looks like a simple coin for payment but nothing with smart contracts or anything else behind, it's even good for DBIX as this shows the commitment from Dubai government about the legal status or crypto currencies and is even advertising for crypto currencies itself and makes the people aware of it

Why is this coin specifically named Dubai?

It'll be interesting to see which chain Emcash is launched on. If it's Ethereum etc then we can safely say goodbye to DBIX being a solid long-term hold. If Gov chooses Arabian Chain, well, in that case, we should all be getting fitted for our moon suits.

DBIX has its own project and roadmap, you should see DBIX as a indepedently coin with an very good project like many other succefull coins as: LSK,ARK,ZEC,ETH....all this coin are not adopted from any Governement. Don't forget the many application cases for DBIX. Thuraya, PALMEX, DBIX Gold, Islamic Banking...... Dubai future accelerator 2020, Partner with Jibrel Network, Royalkingdom and many other application case....

I remember reading about how overnight the Dubai Gov announced all airport taxi services are banned as the Gov was launching their own airport taxi service. You cannot compare a landscape like that with the rest of the world. I agree the Arabian Chain future product line-up could be exciting. Although Palmex is terrible, it's a direct copy of Venture Kingdom which we all know is terrible too. Pairing with Gold is good, Thuraya is good, Islamic banking is good although I'm pretty sure having Royal Kingdom as a partner is not a benefit but a hindrance. Based on what we've seen of them so far, my old college class could have executed the project better.

I don't think that Dubai Governament will bann all the cryptocurrency and Blockchain application from Dubai, this is not real man, this will be a opposition to the main goal of Dubai future acelerator.

I'm not saying they'll ban all crypto and blockchains. But, they could tweak things enough that businesses can only use the official Gov backed emcash for products/services in that region. Where would that leave dbix etc?

Guys, I'm confused what kind of wallet is currently relevant for Windows? DbixWall-WinGUIv2.1 or DbixWall-WinGUIv1.0.1_49-2. What is the difference ?
You have always the newest version of windows wallet on http://dbixscan.io/home -> Wallet -> Download DBIX Wallet on Github it is on https://github.com/dubaicoin-dbix/dbixwall/releasesWhen you unzip it, first go to DbixWall-WinGUIv2.1\bin and start gdbix.exe, wait a few minutes and it will start to sync. When you see that it is starting to import only 1 block, that means that it is sync, then open DbixWall-WinGUIv2.1 ->dbixwall.exe and your wallet is ready. DbixWall v2.2 - Update Fix - w/ Gdbix v1.5.3 - this is the version you should use ( when you unzip it you will see DbixWall v2.1 ), but this version only is valid after fork block 90000 . All other versions were before fork.

I am not panic seller but HODL. Soon DBIX will show its power because whole dubai is moving toward blockchain. Patience is the key at the moment.

Yep, Dubai is moving toward blockchain, so is DBIX, looking toward to DBIX to merge and play an integral role in Dubai transformation.
