I'm going to guess that due to the nature of this forum, there will be a lot of comic book fans.
What I don't get is how they've managed to absolutely dominate Hollywood when I genuinely have never met a single human being who reads them.
Everyone knows Superman. I doubt 99.85% of my fatherland's population would've had the slightest clue who Doctor Strange was before he was shoved down their throats.
I've attempted a few but it's never going to be a medium that'll ever work for me. And when I look things up on Wikipedia I start getting a headache trying to wrap my head around Logan being in Hell after having died 762 times before he was born, but that's before he splits off and becomes 17 different bus conductors who all turn on him or something.
Are you voracious consumers of them? If you do, do you have the slightest clue what's going on in them most of the time?

When I was younger I was into comic books but the last series I collected was "Crisis on infinite earths". About 6 years ago I gave them to a friend who is an avid collector - this guy has boxes and boxes and boxes full. Funny thing is, if I try to talk to him about Bitcoin, he gets angry. He never wanted anything to do with it and he's an IT guy too! I don't mention it too often but I did the other day because I had to let him know it surpassed gold then he tells me it will die. Funny.

In my childhood, I loved comics very much. It's great to cheer up and relax. Now I do not devote too much time to this.

Comics was part of my generation and since I really love to read when I was just young I devoured all the comics I can find then. But most of them were locally produced comics which used our national language. Comics at my time were part of our culture and many of the stories were even made into blockbuster movies. Comics can play a big part in promoting reading habits and can cultivate creative imagination.

I usually read comic books when im still a child. Right now, as a teenager, i just read comics on a newspaper or internet. Im already used to reading novels but i can tell that comic books were the best one in my childhood days.

I downloaded a whole pack of The Amazing Spider Man comic books to read on my smartphone when I'm bored at work. I think it was all the issues from 1963 to 2009 or so. It's about 200 books and I'm currently mid 70s. I still haven't got to the point where he loses those weird webbing things under his suit's armpits.
It's pretty good, they've aged well in my opinion. You can look for these on some tracker if you're interested. TPB will probably have them.

Never was huge into collecting them (even though I wanted, but didn't have the money), but I did borrow a few and bought at garage sales. The one that I stuck with was Dylan Dog. Started reading when I was a kid and since I was a huge fan of monsters, it's not a mystery how I got into Dylan's odd job of a detective for paranormal cases. Plus I bet the scenes with the various girls he picked up had an impact too, ha.
I did stop reading them in the later years, but it's mostly because I got interesting in a dozen of other activities and there simply wasn't much time to sit down, relax and enjoy a good comic.
I promised myself that I will, this summer!
