The burst online wallet front page seems exactly like what horizon (HZ) has
https://www.burst-coin.org/download-wallet
are they in any way related ?

Both are Nxt clones

Why burst is pumped a lot recently?
Any chance HZ will continue its development?

I don't know how many of the original holders are still around or are aware
there is a lot of coins from back in 2014 being revived with great success
if more people become aware and dev is willing it can be done

It would be great if that happened to HZ. But it seems there is no dev behind it now.
BTW, I was really impressed by the growth of Dogecoin in the past week.

I believe if there is some buzz here and people say they are interested maybe the DEV will get interested or another DEV might step up

The dev considers it dead and says he's not working on it anymore.

I was the lead developer and I'm not working on it anymore.  I'm  not aware of anyone who works on Horizon.
The Slack community https://nhzheroes.slack.com is also dead for a long time.
I didn't know that there were efforts to fork Horizon or efforts to take over the development responsibility. At least no one contacted me.

At the moment I only see 3 running nodes. All 3 have the same height as https://hz-services.com/wallet/index.html.

Horizon, more precisely my node, is artificially kept alive. In my view Horizon is dead excluding any fork I'm not aware of.

Some users still thinks about it  Wink
That is true. I am one of them.
I have been following HZ for many years and still hold tons of it.
It is a pity it is abandoned by devs.

I think it will increase, but it may be a little and can also be a lot, depending on the situation.

if someone is kind enough to let me see a working webwallet there may be a possible acquisition , they promise a 50k cap so not really saying it's better than now , but as an old project with no web wallet or something to work the only choice is going on another chain.

reality ? you fell to Scammers after being in an ICO , IPO
(more like any other stock and index in the world ICO or not got your portfolio down 25 % or 85 %)
Now  SEC is helping you getting back up your lost money maybe....

It is not on any of the usual public website type of exchanges.

If you look at http://MakeMoney.knotwork.com/ you can see the pages I have been creating about assets used in the Galactic Milieu game, it seems likely that HZ will probably need to be an asset on the STELLAR network so as to provide a way for players to obtain some starting HZ to get a foothold on the HORIZON side of things if they do not join a guild, clan, association, society or whatever which offers ways to get hold of various coins and assets.

The version of HORIZON that I am running is downloadable inside my http://LFM.knotwork.com/ site, that download is un-altered so far, just there to prevent suddenly being unable to find a copy of the last extant version that I know of.

To use it it is advisable to configure into its "well known hosts" list at least dvcstable01.dvcnode.org, dvcstable02.dvcnode.org and dvcstable06.dvcnode.org to ensure that when you fire it up it is able to join the same network of nodes as the other players are using.

Also PLEASE NOTE that as far as I can tell the whole "currencies" thing is broken, I did manage to create a few "currencies" but after that any more I tried to create were rejected as already in use, then just tonight I just discovered that also none of the ways to exchange/trade them (except by simply using transfer to send them to folks and trust them to send something back) seem to work. So I am re-issuing everything I had made into a currency in the form of an asset. So just don't bother using any of the "currencies" shown in the Makemoney Knotwork doc pages. They are all to be re-done as assets.

Hello dev, Hello Legendary and Hero.
I found something unique in this Annoncement, I did not find Horizon on the Exchange Cryptopia and Bittrex.
I have searched with the symbol of HZ and HZN.

Bittrex : https://international.bittrex.com/home/markets
Cryptopia : https://poloniex.com/exchange

I managed to sync my client. To help you:

1) Edit (or create) the file: %appdata%\Horizon\conf\nhz.properties

(for instance: C:\Users\__YOURUSERNAME__\AppData\Roaming\Horizon\conf\nhz.properties )

2) Add this:

nhz.defaultPeers=lfm.knotwork.com; nhz.woll-e.net; crossciv.no-ip.org; nhz.ydns.eu

3) Restart the client.

Downloaded the hzexchange zip and extracted it to see if I could make it work.

Here is your problem from ...\Desktop\hzxchange.net-1.01\README.md:

Code:
# hzxchange.net

Standalone version of the HZXchange client

Download, and open index.html in your browser.

Needs a solution for HZ/BTC price (same origin policy, didn't find an api with CORS header yet)

It's quite easy to understand that until Poloniex stops forwarding our former "delisted" HZ website link to its old HZ/BTC pair (later forwarded the link below to ETH/BTC pair, now its a BTC/USDT pair - you all know what I mean):

EDIT: forgot to link y'all https://poloniex.com/exchange#btc_hz

EDIT2: now that I have clicked the link from bitcointalk.org I am being forwarded to (https://poloniex.com/exchange/USDT_STR) STR/USDT

---back to original post---

Go ahead and click it. If you're wondering where CORs is used it is in setting up the platform and changing the nhzdefault.properties file and set the "false" to "true" - my server/node uses Java (Horizon NRS from C:\...) and I can open up an app I created for Internet Explorer to run my wallet and access the platform itself locally just fine Smiley

Probably why mark never finished migrating to Poloniex and why they have offered similar exchanges since they took part of Horizon stealth-ly away from idiots like me who just used to use web exchanges and not know a thing about the internet, mobile data, the web, the world wide web etc.

But this platform still has many peers - sometimes I get as many as 17! I will run the Horizon Server I setup as a way to support and secure the network as long as it lets me Smiley

Why let ETH be the only one locking away coins for DeFi when HZ is the origin of Original Proof-of-Stake as well as running just fine according to rules of Nakamoto Consensus. The more HZ one holds on Horizon, the more virtual hashing power it should have for PoS. =P

From the many one, from one, the source

I added an AMM, a Liquidity Pool - just join Smiley and trade HZ on stellar... Try, how works AMM on Stellar.
