The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Along with ^^ is the fact that ever since the s2, with the exception of the s3/s3+, Antminers have been - loud. S7's are the start of the sirens...

That said, I have 2x s9's running in my basement so the noise *can* be dealt with to some extent.

Hard to answer.

But if you are USA based and have free power you could buy two Avalon 741 along with controller.

Reliable should turn a profit for you.

Canaan.io. Is the website.

Two machines with controller and shipping are about 1900.

And some psus maybe 300 so 2200 net .

You would break even in a year .

The $ increase only scales the net.
If you don't net profit, then it doesn't help.

If you manage to get yourself:
1. A working device on the first try.
2. A good buy price (30-40% under 6 month gross)
3. Low electricity.

Succeeding in two of the three will lean more towards being worth it.
Still a bet on how things will look 6 months from now.

Use this tool I clobbled together to think about it:
http://mining.tipsternet.com/miner.html

And check the forums on vendor product complaints *cough*Antminers*cough*.

Thanks for ur reply so much. Actually I was thinking to invest in ASIC but I really have no idea about the ROI. Some ASICs require ~2 years to break even, to me, I think it is too long. And you have mentioned a good point = reliable.

This. Definitely this. If you are looking for a shorter and more rewarding way you should buy rigs and mine with them for altcoins.

Specially new altcoins that comes out of the market. Then you can be one of the first ones to mine it and get in early and get out early. There were multiple coin pools where they mine the most profitable one and if you use your rig there you will make decent amount money. You can resell the rig as well.

yes but generally an asic die only when a better one come out, and the antminer s9 is still the king, so it will not be unprofitable for a long time

i want to note that x11 asic are more profitable than anything at the moment, better than gpu and antminer, and they efficiency is very good compared to their contenders

The problem is that the GPU miners are more difficult to set up if you do it yourself.

no way, there is nothing hard in setting GPU farms up
besides, there are so many videos and instructions on how to do it,so you just cannot go wrong
the main advantage of GPU farms is that you are most certainly will return at least 50-75% of your investment at any time simply selling your hardware
but I agree baikal or any other x11 or Xxx miners are kings of ROI at the moment (thank you DASH and ETC and ETH pumps)

It's also easier to diagnose any issues that arise during operation and such as parts are generally cheaper and in more supply if something goes wrong; many miner parts like in the S9 can get pretty costly, and last gen miner parts are even more expensive. Even if you've never set up a computer before it's easy to make a rig; practically just pushing a few parts into place and a push of a button.

it is as well subject to the pricing of the electricity fee, if it rises, you have to pay more; or if you need to maintain the machine at the best condition, the fees might not allow you to break even. that would be horrible.

out of ability to use the signature, i want a new ban strike policy that will fade the strike after 90~120 days of the ban and not to be traced back, like google | email me for anything urgent, message will possibly not be instantly responded
i am not really active for some reason

Can someone post recommended online minning sites and online cryptocurrency exchangers

you are talking about cloud mining it's not recommended, it's better to buy your gear and mine with that, because cloud are never profitable, in the only case they are it require you to trade your hahs, which is the same as trading with less margin...

exchange that are good for both alt and bitcoin, are poloniex and bittrex, now cryptopia start too look not bad too in my view

its really hard to find cloud mining which can be profitable or can deliver in our favor better to learn mining by yourself and buy those equipment which is needed in order to mine alts, but better to check also possible cost and profits to balance if mining from your place are still good.

Good day! Well it depends on which country you are in. Generally speaking, it would require a hefty amount because of electricity costs. Maybe you can share more details so we can try to diversify costs? Nonetheless, I think it is a good investment in the long run. The thing is, you would have to wait for quite a long time to realize your investments.

the cloud mining is usually scam, there are only a few legit companies out there and they are
borderline profitable (if not completely unprofitable)
there is no reason to not to try and build your GPU rig instead
after all you can sell your gpus for around 80% after, unlike most of the ASICS
