To each his own, but my gut tells me to stay away, far away. Read the 'terms of service' and you'll see what I am talking about.

And please don't respond that you read it, and that it is a standard 'terms of service', because if not.

Bitcoin Cash (BCASH) is NOT the real Bitcoin

Waiting days for a deposit to show up on the biggest exchange is not normal.Especially when the profits are best in a couple of weeks.I do not have problems with it on Cryptopia for instance and it is a way smaller exchange.
It is easy for them to say they have "difficulties" or "maintenance" going on. If you believe that you are just naive.

The only problem I faced on Poloniex, is the inability to place an order at peak times. In general, I do not have problems.

I have been using poloniex for more than 1 year now, till now I didn't face any problem with this exchange.I have many bitcoins in poloniex exchange where I am trading happily without the problem and when it comes to withdrawal and deposit they will pay on time without any delay, only if they have any issues with their software.

Beware of Poloniex,

They use bots to pump and dump coins and ponzi schemes,  at the moment the exchange is pumping DASH which is a ponzi scheme,  they create these big pumps, attract investors who short them, them keep them stuck for weeks.  If you dont know Poloniex is designed to suck in investors, use bots to create fake volume.

For traders this is not something new or that they haven't before, it's a known thing and don't know if you have seen there is a thread here where a good bot is being sold for a long time, that's the C.A.T and saying the truth it covers many popular exchanges including the poloniex too. Trading can be very dangerous especially for the newbie ones as there are lots of bots in poloniex especially and it's good to catch the 0.15% instead of 0.25% because there are lots of orders within 1 second.

I am happy with Poloniex exchanges the way they treat their members, their support system is highly professional and they solve the issues in the specific time limit. Overall, when compared to other exchanges more reputable coins will be listed in Poloniex.

One thing id say about poloniex is: their customer support is ridiculously slow, and that doesnt fill me with confidence at all.

For the largest exchange in the world, their KYC verification takes forever..and in that time they could be doing anything with my coins

I have a few other investors who also have very low withdrawal limits. Theyre unable to take their money out that easily and its taking forever to get verified

So, that shouldnt fill someone with confidence at all...poloniex needs much better customer support, quicker KYC verification times and better transparency of who they are, who is in their team, where their offices are etc...right now we dont know enough about poloniex and its the biggest weakness in the whole crypto world

Yes. in 7/5/2017. When STR (Stellar lumen) up to 4900sts/1 STR. Polo continue erro, down sever in 3 minutes. No one can login and trade. After 3 minutes, when all trader login, STR down = 2000sts/1 STR. Why?
A lot of people went bankrupt, special is Margin trader. Poloniex said: all altcoin safe, but all trader is loser. You can check chart trade of polo in 22h 7/5/2017 (GMT: UTC). It is 1 vertical line. There is no apology from poloiex. They are silent when trader lose money because their fault.
Poloniex is scamer, they are trap.

How's this for strange.

I somehow have an open margin long position in XRP @ .00021461? The price never came near that, nor spiked to that price point, yet here I am with this open position I did not order, that is obviously at a huge loss because the price only ever made it around .00014.

So tell me: How exactly would an open position fulfill at a price that never even spiked to that price point? I'm sitting looking at a loss and lending fees that just keep adding up for an order I didn't make, and obviously would never make, why the hell would I buy something that's 1.5x the recent ATH? I wouldn't, but yet here I am slowly losing money over it, if I close it out Ill lose hundreds of dollars. I contacted support, but wont cross my fingers that they respond.

Polo is turning into Cryptsy.

Patterson Law Firm in FL has been put on retainer and are investigating claims against Poloniex for fraud. You can contact Alexander Passo @ apasso@pattersonlawfirm.com if you've been dealing with any issues. Poloniex's terms of service are not enforceable in court, regardless of how much they want you to think they are.

The real scam is when the exchange crashes, yet there is clearly activity in the background (via cryptowat.ch or other API plugs)  Yet you can't trade on their GUI.

This happened with XMR and most recently with STR.  I'm done with them.  My coins are off their site.  They'll Gox soon.

today is 9/5/2017. Poloniex continue scam verision 2. All coin down, XRP 12.300 ---> 7.700, BTS 3.379 ----> 2.200, STR 2.300 ---> 1.600.v.v.and No one can trade. Traders can only look and lose. Reason of Poloniex is DDOS attacked.Again that reason and trader lost money again because Poloniex's fault. We are going bankrupt gradually by Poloniex

They do have a lot of error and trouble these past few days, but in my opinion the rate downtrend of XRP and STR (not sure about BTS, didn't watch them) is because it is their time to go down. The price was pumped several percent for a few days and eventually it will go down sooner or later, although probably they're coincidentally happened alongside with the server's breakdown.

And about the rates, to be fair, actually most alts are going down in reflect to btc price going up

If people don't like poloniex, there are other exchanges you can use:

bittrex, kraken, hitbtc, cexio and so on.

It's a good idea to spread your coins and trading around - don't keep everything on one exchange.

Anyone know another exchange with a lot of XMR trade pairs?  Kraken has most of the coins I care about trading but they don't have any direct alt\alt pairs, everything is alt\btc or alt\fiat.

Poloniex is running a very elaborate complex scam. I don't care who disagrees, and if you do disagree then you most likely have a 39+hour/week job and don't get to sit and watch the website all day and night, if you want. They had "lag" at 5k ppl, at 10k ppl, at 20k at 30k ppl. The same kind of bullshit lag where normal people cannot put orders in, close orders, cancel orders, close margins, transfer balances, get charged lending fees with no orders open, coins held hostage until the 10% move is over with, and many other things that I just am not able to remember atm. They colluded with the DAO Hack to make tons of money from trading fees. I lost 900$ even tho I closed my margin order 900$ in the profit, they let it lag and closed my order where thousands of satoshi away from where I closed it. That was with like 8k users and it lagged all the same it did yesterday with 32k users. It's BS and I honestly believe they will eventually follow the same path as Cryptsy.
