You guys must be careful with Poloniex.I've posted 2 tickets for supporting in BTC withdrawal because my BTC was hold by Poloniex. There was 1 support guy received ticket and he kept silent for almost nearly 4 days.
After that,my friend told me that should post more questions in troll box for admin and mod.Amazingly, they solved my case right after i posted annoucements. What the hell is that ? What did they do with my money in last 4 days ?
You can easily search in this forum, many cases like me in the past.Never trade on Poloniex again.PLEASE BE CAREFUL

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

If you can'r prove it, just STFU. You are speculating. Guess what I run 8 bots myself, on Polo, Bittrex, Bitfinex and OKCoin.

What's your point? You have NONE. Dumb, dumb and dumber you are a troll.

I believe  I witnessed a SCAM on POLONIEX today. I am a ETH/PASC miner. And my PASC is auto deposited to POLONIEX. All days my deposits have been shown up. Each day 40 PASC approx.

Now TODAY PASC goes up about 80 freaking %. And guess what, my mined PASC are not showing up in my Deposits. PASC is about 0.8% Volume of POLONIEX.  I message them and they say maintenance or something. Later all PASC deposits and withdrawals are stopped. PASC price goes down to only +30% from +80%....

Ofcourse in a couple of days when PASC will be waaaay down in price, they will buy those coins back and give them back. But still how can you trade with other peoples money that boldly, and how can people not see this, is beyond me !If I was a US citizen I would have called the FBI a long time ago. They will go the way of MtGox when they'll think it's worth it.  Todays PASC Volume was at 1,400,000 US$ at Poloniex. Now think of how much money they made...

They traded with my mined Coins. And I thought you should know too. They do it similarly like MtGox that got ""HACKED"",but on a smaller scale with smaller coins.

Be carefull people. And do not concentrate on POLONIEX ! Especially on days when a big crash happens like today. You might lose everything the next time.

Perhaps the fact that the deposits are facing an issue is the main driver of the price rise?

poloniex is crap and very dangerous now to go there.
I will not say yet that they scam people but is getting close to it.

I also doubt on ddos attacks and server issues, i think more that they cant handle the amount of payouts because of the huge pumps of several coins
last few weeks so they find ways to keep on running.

Delay in withdrawal up to 24h, support will reply after 96h if you are lucky, if a pump is coming trades will be frozen and starting today they
send out fake txid. they say it is paid and also it showes in your account but the txid is not visible in the blockchain.

mods in the trollbox then advise you to open a ticket what will give them another extra 4 days, very tricky.

one fake txid: e1b3e162d280da5387a59bf8739c2a39f82ca9d57c1f83719e639f2bb6d1cc12
many more can be found in the trollbox on the website.

STAY AWAY THERE FOR NOW!!

mods have standard sentences make a support ticket

Poloniex is running a very elaborate complex scam. I don't care who disagrees, and if you do disagree then you most likely have a 39+hour/week job and don't get to sit and watch the website all day and night, if you want. They had "lag" at 5k ppl, at 10k ppl, at 20k at 30k ppl. The same kind of bullshit lag where normal people cannot put orders in, close orders, cancel orders, close margins, transfer balances, get charged lending fees with no orders open, coins held hostage until the 10% move is over with, and many other things that I just am not able to remember atm. They colluded with the DAO Hack to make tons of money from trading fees. I lost 900$ even tho I closed my margin order 900$ in the profit, they let it lag and closed my order where thousands of satoshi away from where I closed it. That was with like 8k users and it lagged all the same it did yesterday with 32k users. It's BS and I honestly believe they will eventually follow the same path as Cryptsy.

Correct.  It is essentially an elaborate bucket shop.  When you trade and win at a bucket shop you are not taking money from other traders but from the shop itself.  Just like in Vegas, if you win consistently they will shut down on you.  I believe they are involved in the trades themselves, that they are freezing coins that show them a loss and then letting bots walk them down.  They will be gone before the end of the year IMHO.  Everything I'm seeing right now at Poloniex I saw at Cryptsy.  Mark my words.  Jesse saw this over 100 years ago:

"As it was, it didn't take long for the bucket shops to get
sore  on  me  for  beating  them.  I'd  walk  in  and  plank  down  my
margin, but they'd look at it without making a move to grab it.
They'd tell me there was nothing doing. That was the time they
got to calling me the Boy Plunger. I had to be changing brokers
all the time, going from one bucket shop to another. It got so
that  I  had  to  give  a  fictitious  name.  I'd  begin  light,  only
fifteen  or  twenty  shares.  At  times,  when  they  got  suspicious,
I'd  lose  on  purpose  at  first  and  then  sting  them  proper.  Of
course  after  a  little  while  they'd  find  me  too  expensive  and
they'd tell me to take myself and my business elsewhere and not
interfere with the owners' dividends.
Once, when the big concern I'd been trading with for months
shut down on me I made up my mind to take a little more of their
money away from them. That bucket shop had branches all over the
city,  in  hotel  lobbies,  and  in  nearby  towns.  I  went  to  one  of
the  hotel  branches  and  asked  the  manager  a  few  questions  and
finally got to trading. But as soon as I played an active stock
my  especial  way  he  began  to  get  messages  from  the  head  office
asking who it was that was operating. The manager told me what
they  asked  him  and  I  told  him  my  name  was  Edward  Robinson,  of
Cambridge. He telephoned the glad news to the big chief. But the
other  end  wanted  to  know  what  I  looked  like.  When  the  manager
told me that I said to him, "Tell him I am a short fat man with
dark hair and a bushy beard 1" But he described me instead, and
then he listened and his face got red and he hung up and told me
to beat it.
"What did they say to you?" I asked him politely.
"They said, `You blankety-blank fool, didn't we tell you to
take no business from Larry Livermore? And you deliberately let
him trim us out of $700!" He didn't say what else they told him.
I tried the other branches one after another, but they all
got  to  know  me,  and  my  money  wasn't  any  good  in  any  of  their
offices. I couldn't even go in to look at the quotations without
some of the clerks making cracks at me. I tried to get
them  to  let  me  trade  at  long  intervals  by  dividing  my  visits
among them all. But that didn't work."

"Everybody in the room heard me and began to look toward us
and  ask  what  was  the  trouble,  for,  you  see,  while  the
Cosmopolitan  had  never  laid  down,  there  was  no  telling,  and  a
run  on  a  bucket  shop  can  start  like  a  run  on  a  bank.  If  one
customer  gets  suspicious  the  others  follow  suit.  So  Tom  looked
sulky, but came over and marked my tickets "Closed at 103" and
shoved  the  seven  of  them  over  toward  me.  He  sure  had  a  sour
face.
Say,  the  distance  from  Tom's  place  to  the  cashier's  cage
wasn't over eight feet. But I hadn't got to the cashier to get
my money when Dave Wyman by the ticker yelled excitedly
"Gosh! Sugar, 108!" But it was too late; so I just laughed and
called over to Tom, "It didn't work that time, did it, old boy?"
Of  course,  it  was  a  put-up  job.  Henry  Williams  and  I  to-
gether were short six thousand shares of Sugar. That bucket shop
had  my  margin  and  Henry's,  and  there  may  have  been  a  lot  of
other Sugar shorts in the office; possibly eight or ten thousand
shares in all. Suppose they had $20,000 in Sugar margins. That
was enough to pay the shop to thimblerig the market on the New
York Stock Exchange and wipe us out. In the old days whenever a
bucket shop found itself loaded with too many bulls on a certain
stock it was a common practice to get some broker to wash down
the  price  of  that  particular  stock  far  enough  to  wipe  out  all
the customers that were long of it. This seldom cost the bucket
shop more than a couple of points on a few hundred shares, and
they made thousands of dollars.
That  was  what  the  Cosmopolitan  did  to  get  me  and  Henry
Williams and the other Sugar shorts. Their brokers in New York
ran up the price. Of course it fell right back, but Henry
and  a  lot  of  others  were  wiped  out.  Whenever  there  was  an
unexplained  sharp  drop  which  was  followed  by  instant  recovery,
the  newspapers  in  those  days  used  to  call  it  a  bucket-shop
drive."

The number of users online at a given time on Polo used to be about 20,000 a month ago. A week ago they jumped to about 30,000 and their engine started to lag.

Today it jumped to 40,000, and guess what, their engine is lagging again.

People - there are other exchanges you can trade on. Ripple can be traded on both bitstamp and kraken. Kraken does ether and stellar lumens as well. Bittrex and Hitbtc do most of the other alts.

Don't log into Polo if there are more than 30,000 people online - you'll only be frustrated as all your orders and withdrawals go wrong.

I really really don't understand people KNOWING that Polo is under pressure with traffic and volume, but piling in anyway, making things worse, and then complaining.

Be aware that orders that do not appear to take hold are executed within a couple of minutes.
I refreshed my browser and the order did not appear on the screen and then all of sudden it was executed.
Good luck and be careful.

Oh boy...   Cryptoland desperately needs a DEX with decent Volume...   Shocked

Expect a vertical rise when DEX arrives Grin

The first DEX to get decent Volume will probably remain the winner for a while.  No easy task, though.

Let's hope folks are fed up with the infamous KYC/AML headlock, not to mention the constant fear of suddenly losing their funds due to a hack.

yeah, my poloniex account got hacked 2 weeks ago and 600 litecoins stupidly transfered awayby the hacker into 16 million qora. I'm not too happy about that, and can't get a response from their support. Wamp waa

I just installed agama using livelinux mint. Very Very Very easy to do. Hey guys, your wallet is starting to look really nice, just transfered some KMD from trex. I can't wait to join team LP.

and F to the U to poloniex

The hack occurred during last ddos attack.

Well, what I do find curious are these sudden 'deposit and withdrawal issues' that occur to every high volume coin frequently.
I wouldn't be suprised when they actually do that on purpose so that they can buy in cheap, then allow deposits and withdrawals again to enjoy a good profit.

Beware of Poloniex,

They use bots to pump and dump coins and ponzi schemes,  at the moment the exchange is pumping DASH which is a ponzi scheme,  they create these big pumps, attract investors who short them, them keep them stuck for weeks.  If you dont know Poloniex is designed to suck in investors, use bots to create fake volume.
Doubt it, because bots wouldn't help much at this point anyways. They're already so big in the exchange world.

Im wondering on what happen to the poloniex they supposed to be the one of the best exchange existing here but turns out that they acted as shit today If this thing will continue to occur well this one will be bad since a reputable exchanger has turn bad and it could be happen on another exchange so maybe its a wake up call that we shouldn't put some huge balance on their.

Withdrawals are not working.
Coins are disappearing.
I withdrew my MAID coins and it shows as "Complete: Error" in withdraw history.
The transaction never showed in blockchain. But the coins dissappeared on Polo.

The day before same withdrawal was working fine.
They are going down, now they disabled TrollBox.
It is Cryptsy all over again.
1) Non-working withdrawals
2) disabled chatbox
3) stealing of our coins

Take what you can and run away.

EDIT: btw they dont respond to support tickets (i have open ticket for another issue for 16 days now)
EDIT2: well Polo responded to and fixed my ticket few hours after i posted here. So being vocal surely helps.
My Coins finally went through. Their support is still tragical but at least i know that it exists now.

A lot of people are reporting problems but its working for most of us as far as I know. Perhaps send them a support ticket, they will probably take ages to reply but I don't think they will outright steal your coins despite how shady they run their business.
