Dogecoin does't have any good future because it is just a joke coin where the developer created it as a parody or a meme and the price spikes for this coin is just hype and manipulation by the whales who want to make some money from this cheap coins and i think that if you want to make some money out of dogecoin then you need to know when the whales will enter and exit.

Doge coin as you rightly said didn't really start so well but it seem to have gathered some huge support and legitimacy in recent times, gained up to a 100 percent last week and seem to have retained much of that value gained |

As long as people believe in dogecoin, it will have a future. Like any Fiat currency it’s value is derived from people’s belief in it. And if people believe that dogecoin is a good store of value then, it shall exist and thrive as so.

Dogecoins are told to be fun coins because they can be produced infinite. But the doge community is still overwhelming and transactions prices are cheap with fast transfer. So many people use doges to transfer btc and other currencies indirectly. I think, as long as BTC and altcoins are alive, doges also will stay stable.

Dogecoin has been my favorite alt coin for quite a long time. It serves as a good cryptocurrency for tipping others, as well as being a fun and inexpensive medium of exchange. However, I'm worried what might happen to Dogecoin in the future, since it has been quite some time that no new version of the QT wallet has been mentioned, neither some innovation to keep it going for the long term. It would become ideal for Dogecoin to add SegWit to its code, and gain traction if it gains acceptance from the miners. Then, if it manages to become the first cryptocurrency to accept the scalable solution, it could rise in popularity once more (not to mention that transaction will be near instantaneous). Nevertheless, Dogecoin is a great cryptocurrency being inexpensive and relatively stable, making it a great way to tip others or send micropayments faster than BTC at a fraction of the cost. Looking forward to your opinion.  Dogecoin has a strong supporting community and well developed network. Its fast and reliable confirmation and cheap tx fee are outstanding among the thousands of alt coins. I can't say if and when its price will go up, but I do believe it'll stay alive. Now on the market a lot of coins, which are often called as shitcoins. So, the DOGE is roflocon. This is one of the first forks of bitcoin, which received great support from the community. This is a great crypto, but nothing serious.
