Would it be possible to move the entry time to make it slightly less rubbish for europeans? Well I was planing on doing a new game every 12 hours.

How about a new round every 36 hours? It would give different starting times, and It might also keep each round fresh longer as more people wake up/get off work in various time zones.

36 hours is too long, the game usually last within the first 3-5 hours and then it's just really slow. I'll start thinking about a good odd time to let everyone play the game.

I think the active time might get proportionally longer. At the current time, people in the US might throw in a deposit before going to bed, and in Europe before going to work. So, when people get back home or wake up 8-10 hours later there's too little time left of the round for new deposits or reinvestment to have a chance of getting doubled. But, if you have a 36 hour round it will be a whole day left when people get back, so that might keep the round going for a another few hours. Maybe two parallel 36 hour rounds could be something as well, which would make a new round start twice a day... and it could make things interesting in itself. Edit: 36 hour rounds would mean every other day would would have two rounds starting, if they start with a 12 hour difference from the beginning. Unless my thinking is wrong again...

IDK, 36 hours seems way too long, and I think 12 would be good, everyone gets two shots a day if they need it.

I'm thinking I may restart the game every 12 hours. Even if your in a different location; you've got 2 shots.

That was for the suggestion of having two 36 hour rounds with a 12 hour overlap. Round one starts at midnight and ends at noon 36 hours later. Round two starts at noon and ends at midnight day after the next.

I still think the active time in each round would be too long to make sense.

I'm only running one game at a time. If I do anymore, I might as well start selling my script for others to make their own game.

In my head that could make things interesting with people trying to reinvest their doubles into the other ongoing round, and with a variance that would add a factor that would be different from shorter single games or two 24 hour games with a 12 hour difference. But maybe that's just me...

I mean the next round starting in about 2 hours. But to answer your question, you only get refunded a percentage of the coins left in the pot, based on how much you initially put in.

I think the script needs Mt. Gox active in order to work, so there might be another postponement... I wish we would have run one more round before Gox went down Edit: Is the game still on then? According to the web page, it will be restarting in less than an hour.
