There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

I see nothing about a refund and I worry that it counted me as part of the older round. But how can that be possible if the page said 12:00:05? Everyone got their refund?

From the chat: (01:09:25) (Rev): Did someone just set off a DDoS? (01:09:30) (Rev): MyBitcoin is timing out (01:09:46) HerbertFilby: it's up for me (01:09:54) (fetzkochl): for me too (01:10:00) (fetzkochl): up I mean (01:12:54) HerbertFilby: well, anyway, not that I've stopped mining, I've played the first video game on my computer in about a month lol it was quite a relief (01:13:32) (NothinG): I haven't played games in over a month. (01:14:04) HerbertFilby: hmmm, some people cannot get into the chatroom :\ (01:14:07) (NothinG): That's perfect; Mybitcoin just timmed out for me -.- (01:14:32) HerbertFilby: They might be responding to your email and trying to fix their site (01:14:36) (NothinG): I don't think they are being ddosed though

USA, this is odd lol, my tor still runs Firefox 3 and normal firefox is firefox 4, checked and it does work in tor, so it might just be firefox 4's fault.

I too cannot access the page; I get a 404 Not found error with Chrome. Are we supposed to be getting refunds or is my 2 BTC still in the game?

We might just move the whole thing to IRC, but that's up to NothinG. For now, just try TOR or use an online web proxy perhaps.

Same problem then, humph.... I dunno. I try Googling this problem and the only thing that comes up is how to "BLOCK" a website with firefox, but not how to unblock it.

He's having more problems. It was working, but was not paying out. He's issuing refunds and will let everyone know when it's back up officially.
