Is anyone able to sync the wallet for windows10? If yes please let me the steps as I have read all the posts and even contacted coinonat support but it is not getting connected

you must have at last once launched wallet !

To get wallet working :

1) go to appdata using %appdata% command in search (win 7 64bit)

2) then go to coinonat folder, Create Text file and drop this info there :

addnode=138.197.159.60:44678
addnode=192.3.196.202:44678
addnode=88.99.191.218:44678

after that SAVE it as coinonat.conf

3) restart your coinonat wallet and it should work !


if wallet gives error, try to install microsoft visual c++ 2010 x86
that helped me and i have win 7 64bit sp1

Help me..... my wallet don't sincronize the chain, I've w10 pro,  installed the wallet, visual c++ 2010 x86, nothing error, i add the node in the coinonat.conf in %appdata%/roaming/coinonat the wallet start but don't sincronize..... how can i fix?

First backup your wallet.dat file

Why don't you try to install the wallet on a VM. I have installed qt wallet on windows 7 which is running in a virtualbox VM. And it has been running since last month. No error.

your coinonat.conf should look like this

listen=1
server=1
daemon=1
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=password
allowip=*
rpcport=44578
port=44678
addnode=138.197.159.60:44678
addnode=192.3.196.202:44678
addnode=88.99.191.218:44678


restart your coinonat-qt.exe app

if still not working

remove all files in %appdata%\roaming\coinonat folder
warning: not wallet.dat and coinonat.conf file

and restart your coinonat-qt.exe app

it ll connect to network in a few seconds and will sync with the network

Thanks combat007 for help, but I tried this on WIN 10 64bit and on WIN 7 32bit and still no luck (out of sync), grrr..
Which user and password to set?

Am not sure if this will work for you you can try adding this nodes to your conf file

You should actually edit an already existing coinonat.conf file in a notepad and not create it all new.

Please delete the wallet after you take wallet.dat backup. Re install the wallet and you should see the coinonat.conf file
Do you see file extensions in your file explorer?

please change in coinonatX's code a data folder name, becouse now both (coinonat and coinonatX) has the same folder's name and it is very problematic
