Yes, coin control is currently only available on the Particl-qt wallet. Adding coin control functionality is one of the feature we do want to integrate into Particl Desktop, but currently we are focusing on the marketplace! Settings is also not available as of yet, but you shouldn't really need it for most basic tasks.

The daemon debug console is available though, make sure you have the latest version of Particl Desktop and look for a small console icon at the top right of the window. If you click on it you should have the console opening up in a pop-up.

It depends on mostly two things:

RingCT -> We currently are getting our Bitcoin-based implementation of the RingCT privacy protocol by the NJIT Department of Technology. The audit result should be received by our team in June. Then, we will look into it and see if there are any recommended modifications and improvements. We will only integrate RingCT once we are 100% sure that our implementation is very solid and will not contain any vulnerability. It is possible that we launch the mainnet before we integrate RingCT though, we may instead use CT (Confidential Transactions) that is already on our mainnet. The decision whether we'd do a mainnet with CT or not hasn't been taken yet, but it will be highly dependent on the second thing that is important for mainnet launch

Governance -> Since the Particl Marketplace is not governed by any entity or company, we need to make sure we have built the governance model before hitting mainnet. Otherwise, we may see immoral and plain wrong listings being put up on the public interface of the marketplace. This feature will make the Particl Marketplace exclusively governed by the Particl community itself and is a way to keep the public interface clean and attracting to all users. I would say this is the most important feature to get before going mainnet. We have already worked on the basis and game-theory, and of course, the first iteration of the governance model will be a simple one that will evolve over time and adapt to whatever situation the marketplace faces.
