The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

I always wanted the market launch sooner, but now I think the timing is perfect. Looks like btc is finally going up to new alh and alts should follow it.

a month later it's still "a few days away"

The marketplace has been running and has been demonstrated on mainnet for the entire duration of the NYC Blockchain Week. The public release has to be pushed a little as we are still finalizing the last few tests so that we can be sure there is no issue that appears after we release it publicly.

Hey everybody,

Particl needs your help!

We've applied to a remittance tech competition and believe we stand a pretty good chance to win it in front of a panel of judges.

The panel of judges is, however, only the second step to determine the winning project.

The first step is a popular vote. That is why we need your help in getting as many votes as possible so that we can qualify to move on to the next round and be judged by a panel of experts in the remittance industry.

We've been recommended to participate to this competition at Consensus by someone that is well connected and working right in this industry.

The winning project will get a free invitation to present the project at the IMTC EMEA 2019 conference in London, a global conference uniting some of the key people in the remittance industry.

So let's get voting so that we can show Particl in front of more eyes! 🗳

Vote here: https://remtech.org/particl/

This is just rumors, not sure where it came from. This is not the plan of the Foundation as they want it to be a private funding round, not a public one.

If talking about binance there must be something big, but if you look at it from the start it seems there is no purpose there, we just enjoy the news and continue to focus.

This would make the fundraising a public offering, which is what (afaik) the Foundation is trying to avoid because that opens up liabilities and may make Particl a security.

Every once in a while I re-balance my portfolio based on how the various projects are holding up. More often than not at this time I end up buying more PART.

So I watched the recent AMA on YouTube, but it left me with some questions. A few people asked questions related to PART being removed from Bittrex US: "What's being done to find new exchanges?", "How will it affect the sale of the PART held by the Foundation?" etc.

The answer to "What's being done to find new exchanges?" seemed to be more or less "anything related to supply and demand is not within the remit of the Foundation".

Obviously as someone who's bought PART I have my own selfish reasons for wanting to see its price increase, but it feels like it'd be almost impossible for the Foundation to fully carry out its stated mission without giving at least some consideration to the price of PART and the factors affecting it.

From the Particl wiki:
Quote
"The foundation and its board strictly functions as a legal entity with the mission of providing funding and support for the Particl platform. It will also ensure the continued development of the Particl project..."

The Bittrex US news seems to have precipitated a drop in price of around 40% in the last month. With no other fundamental changes and alts in general having a little lift from the BTC price increase, it's hard to imagine what else might have caused it. A lower PART price means the development fund (from the 10% staking tax) won't go so far, and that if any of the 996,000 PART were to be sold now it would probably have to be at a reduced price. Meaning less funds for the future. So it seems that in a very concrete way the continued funding and development of the project is directly affected by exchange listings.

With that in mind, could someone clarify the Foundation's official position on whether or not they consider seeking exchanges listings as part of their mission and whether or not it is something that someone within the project is actively working on.

Thanks in advance and thanks in general for all the inspiring work you guys have done over the last couple years. There aren't many other coins I've been so happy to hold for so long.

@art_of_bug

Your attitude and efforts to handle this are really questionable.

despite the efforts in finding a bug I see a lot of complaining about not getting to the devs in the first place (which is a result not using the official dev channel on riot) and then complaining about a bounty which was not high enough. Well, the project was no ICO and has little funds.

The project is always thankful for giving insights that kill bugs. So assume if these claims are valid they will be fixed ASAP or are already fixed.
