Who likes pod miners?

Same, I would buy a raspi pre written controller if one was created. I would pay double the price of a raspi perhaps even 2.5x however only if it came from sidehack.  Just saying..  I would even pay for a DLed version and just load it to an SD card.  Using windows lately has been a pain.

To remain on-topic, safe bet Phil would be happy to provide pre-loaded Pi's for the pods. He already offers them for Avalons.

While pre-configured PI would be nice, I already have 2 of the Pi 3's, so would be kinda redeundant for me.
Just hoping for good installation instructions to setup the software.
Do you anticipate it will be the same software as used for the 2Pac? I have one of those running currently.

Yes, the same driver already has baseline support for the Terminus pod because VH is super thorough. I think with the right USB adapter his code could run an entire S5.

I was figuring on offering just the miner, and also a full kit with the miner, USB cable and power brick. Probably could make a preconfigured Pi an add-on option as well. I don't know what the USB load is but one Pi should be able to handle several pods so it wouldn't have to be a one-to-one thing.

If that's the case, the full kit with miner would be perfect.

Maybe one of these days I'll get the firmware finished up. The guy I handed the job off to still hasn't finished, and 2Pac manufacture leading up to Christmas has been seriously kicking my butt. But I've got a good crew and things'll slow down soon, so I'm hoping to open up at least one day a week specifically for R&D. Finally get some stuff done. In addition to the BM1384 Terminus pod, I've got two CNC builds, some other machinery, Bitfury design and a new stick idea piling up. Starting to run out of back burners.

But we'll get caught up here soon.

Not yet. My firmware guy's been AWOL since sometime in November, so I'm just gonna do it myself. That's pretty much the last step, since all the hardware was finalized and ready for assembly before Thanksgiving. But we've shipped over 3100 2Pacs since Thanksgiving and that ate up a lot of time, seeing as that would have been about a 10-week job not too long ago.

But now I've got enough competent help and they're all trained at everything so we can still keep up production with me only putting in 3-4 days per week on it, which means 1-2 days per week of R&D time. Step one, finish the Terminus pod. Step two, newer and better things.

Now that my U3 has bit the dust... Hope the Pod development is almost finished. My RPI is lonely. I'd love to put in a few pre-orders!

So, a bit of news. I had some time yesterday and today to work on firmware, and have successfully tested the last thing I hadn't already at least messed with - interfacing to the temperature sensor. I'm able to talk to it and get temperature data back, which means I'll be able to implement temperature-controlled fan speed and, more importantly, an overtemp shutdown for safety.

As of right now I just have an assembly file with a whole bunch of disjointed routines testing various aspects of control, but I'll have more time in a couple days to get everything pulled together and interacting nicely. Maybe by week's end I'll have something I can run functional tests on a fully working miner and make sure it does what I want.

I didn't want to start batching until I knew I had working firmware and there wasn't anything else I needed to change on the board in order to get all the controls going. But if all that works, I'll be able to start manufacturing these guys.

So the last question is, what's an appropriate price tag? Some of y'all chomping at the bit to get these, what would you pay for one?
