Hi folks,
I'm currently building a new GPU mining rig. I just finish to build the frame, and received my Asrock h81 pro btc r2
.
I'm still hesitant with the GPU choice. I was going for some rx480 8Gb (around 220), but I just found some Sapphire AMD R9 Furys 4Gb for 240 Euros each (The nitro Tri-X OC version).
I read that Eliovp did a lot of work around the bios and serious undervolting to reduce the power draw on the nano.
What can I expect from a -100mV regular r9 Fury with 3584 Stream processors instead of 4096 for the nano, and what about the power consumption...
What are your advices ?
In the meantime, new Vega are "just around the corner" and are expect to be there in few weeks...
Thanks
PS:
I'm not really sure of the the OS, I currently use NiceHash on Windows auto-switching algo with 3 GTX 1070, XMR mining with four X5670 on ubuntu with xmr-stak-cpu, and genoil eth miner on ubuntu too.
I think I will try to mine ETH+DCR or ZEC with this new rig.
