Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Is it a dedicated server? anyways, mining on a CPU is worthless, make better use of this machine.

Yes dedicated server. Its free for me i calculated that 30-35 servers can make me earn 1 monero per day so would i go for that and since its only ubuntu server no idea how to make best use of that other than mining

You could try CPU mining Gapcoin

Gapcoin (GAP) is actively traded at cryptopia: https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange?market=GAP_BTC

The mining difficulty is relatively low at present.
