This is really good news for the bitcoin community. This is a big step to bitcoin acceptance.  I hope other countries will do the same.

That's a great news, but I doubt its credibility, give us a way to verify it.

You can read it here, it is up to you if you will believe this or not. Just hope this is not an April Fool's day joke.

Is that true ? , A special if used as a tool bitcoin transactions without the need to swap the yen, but I still doubt your opinion. OP probably can provide a reference link associated with the thread, such as the national news in Japan that says that bitcoin will be used by tourists to Japan.

Amazing news about Japan. This is really great if japan will start using bitcoin. I am really a fan for anime culture and mangas there. Since a long time ago, I wanted to visit this country to descover many cultures there. And now when bitcoin will be acceptebale like a method of payment. I want to buy some animes staff there by using my bitcoin. It seems amazing.

Good news and expected too I would say. For,a country like Japan this seems prety normal to me, they are progressive with very developed usage of technologies and open minded. And the more the Bitcoin is fuly accepted all around the world, the better for all of us Bitcoin users.

Yes, it's very well. I think this is a big step for bitcoin. Thanks to this, Bitcoin's popularity will increase significantly. And the price will also be higher

Not all info coming from this site is legit, so I would take this with a pinch of salt. If this is real, and I have my doubts... then this is good news

for us, but I see this is also linked to some strict requirements. Bitcoin needs no legitimacy from any governments, but when this happens it is

a bonus. If this comes with silly KYC requirements.... then they can stick it up their ass.  Angry

Well this makes them a motivating force now.
With them having the most valuable bitcoin exchange in the world even on top of China's exchanges.
With bitflyer this was bound to happen to mark their territorial right in cryptocurrency as a global leader.

It's a possibility to consider as over 4000 merchants in japan currently accept bitcoins. This could lead to two things if this bill pass either the node is even slower at confirming transaction (block size) or Japan would implement some kind of infrastructure for nodes etc. Could be a loss or a win. (If this isn't fake news)

the first japan bill containing virtual currencies is expected to come on april which recognizes bitcoin as a method of payment.Although,it doesnot define bitcoin as a legal currency,it is still considered as a remarkable progress for bitcoin in japan.Hope, most of tourists who would go to japan to see 2020 olympics would be able to pay in bitcoins.

this is a good news for bitcoiner in here and if we are planning to go to japan, we can use our bitcoin to buying something in japan and we don't have to carrying much of money in our pocket or physical wallet. i hope in that time japan release this, the government will use the bitcoin atm machine so we can trying to use our wallet to buy or sell or withdraw our bitcoin in the same time. i think it will be good for us to test it in reality so we can have this experience and we can telling with our friends how its feel.

I also hope that the BILL in Japan acknowledge bitcoin as payment method. Note because Japan is one of the countries that have the number of transactions that are influential in the world, so if Japan recognizes the bitcoin then there will be some countries who are interested in studying it and will most likely follow in the footsteps of Japan. Because basically the advantages granted in the bitcoin is much more than on existing life

That's great news. I'm glad the Japanese are getting into bitcoin. The Chinese pump is about to run its course and we'll need a new group of suckers investors soon. The Japanese are very technologically advanced people that are good at maths and coding. Maybe some Japanese devs can start working on bitcoin and correct the mistakes the western devs have made.

This is a great news! Japan's full acceptance of bitcoin may contribute to the growth of bitcoin especially in Asia. This could be the start of acknowledging bitcoin as a currency and mode of payment in Asia. Since Japan is known to be one of the advanced countries worldwide with respect to technology, this news may be a milestone for bitcoin. I hope that this news is legit  Smiley

it's great that despite all the fork and the bad news, there are country that have still fate in bitcoin, also strange that they don't make bitcoin legal when they are accepting it as a payment, sound weird to me, but i was seeing this coming because japan is now in the first place with the volume on exchange, they really love to be the first one in new technology

That's a great news, but I doubt its credibility, give us a way to verify it. I do not want to believe and those that are not real. If Japan accepts bitcoin as a payment method, this means bitcoin is getting more acceptance, and it will grow even further. It is the premise for bitcoin to stand firm in the market, and it never gets overtaken by other altcoins. Japan is a very modern country, bitcoin is acceptable, meaning bitcoin is a good investment, so we should support bitcoin.

Yes, it will be great to see some official surce, in order to verify this info.
I know that in many countries merchants accepts payments in bitcoin but on the end of day, they have to exchange bitcoin to local currency.
They can't pay salary in bitcoin or give bitcoin to the banks, for example.
So, it's possible, I guess, to use bitcoin as payment method, but it's still gray zone somehow without clear regulation from the government.

Is this a serious or just nonsense?
Actually this is good information, but why I do not believe the news. It would be nice if the included link or press releases or others who can prove and corroborate this story as a whole so that the information submitted is valid and enlightening.

I think that Japan is also playing safe in this case. Yes they will accept bitcoin as payment, however legalizing the bitcoin itself as a currency used in Japan may be a risk due to bitcoin's instability. Not legalizing the usage of bitcoin immediately but accepting it as payment is a wise move, in my opinion, for Japan so that they can easily ban bitcoin if they encounter any critical risks.
