...Elpida?

Yes all cards that were bad had Elpida memory.

Hey everyone, I am trying to setup a Gigabyte rx 570 that I have. I have the timings figured out, but I cannot reach 2000 mhz on the memory. I can get to 1820 on the stock voltage of 900, but that only increases to 1870 with a voltage of 1100. What voltages have you used with the Elpida cards? How high would you say I can go that is still safe?

Thanks

hyyy

it is also possible to set the Voltage offset in the Firmware from the Sapphire nitro + 570 - 8gb like on the Sapphire nitro+ 470 - 8gb (HEX Editor)?
have someone try it?

i get on 470 - 28 mhs - 110 Watt

One of my rigs of Nitro+ 570's, all w/ Hynix:

Hello,

I will order 6 of these cards too. Any specific strap did you use or copied a strap within the bios? And which straps did you modify? Can you share? Also what is your total power draw? Did you measure it?

thanks a lot!

Sapphire RX570 Pulse 4GB:
Hynix - 29,3 ETH + 670-680 DCR
Elpida - 28,7 ETH + 650-655 DCR

What settings/clocks are you using on the Elpida cards please?

I flashed bios (only memory straps from 1500 to 2000).
Core 1100
Memory 2000, because my asic quality on the card with Elpida is low. If you have asic quality over 72-3% you can go with 2050 on memory, but this will depend also from your voltage.
Asic quality has nothing to do with memory.
Have you increased voltage to your mem at all? I just think the cards are better cooled than mine. My cheapo Asus Expedition OC are running pretty hot and I think it affects memory stability a lot. Couldn't dual-mine ETH+SIA at 1266/1925 MHz. Had to lower both sets of clocks. Mining speed would go tits up and Claymore would crap out within less than a minute running otherwise.

Of course asic quality has to do with memory. Try increasing your memory on same levels on cards with different asic quality and on stock voltage and you will see it.

I haven't increased voltage at all, I am running on stock voltages.
How hot does your cards get and have you set custom fan setting in AB, it will chop few degrees off.

Got 6 x ASUS STRIX RX570 4GB OC

Mod strap: 1:1500--to 1:1625 till 1:2000 and 2:1500--to 2:1625 till 2:2000

using Smos

Zcash: 1.69KH/s (roughly 280/card) 1175core/1750mem - Powerstage 1 (Very stable probably can push it more but I like to run it stable then running it higher and hang a gpu every few hours)
Eth+Sia: 162MH/s + 1300MH/s (26.8-28MH/s and 220MH/s per card) 1100core/1900-1950mem(some cards cannot take 1950)

Cheers

Hey guys, I got a Gigabyte RX570 and it is achieving this incredible low hashrate of 33H/s out of the box on Monero. It's lower than i3 CPU mining. I know I still need to bios mod but is this out of the box hashrate right? Can anyone tell?

Correlation <> Causation.
ASIC is measured by overall quality of the silicon wafer, and GPU location within that wafer (quality tends to improve towards the centre of the wafer). You can still get defects (areas of lower quality) within even the best wafers. Memory has nothing to do with the GPU's silicon wafer.

It's hot here currently, cards are between 69C and 81C (1075/1900, fans@54-65%). Can't use AB, it crashes Windows after applying o/c to the 7th card so I flashed the clock speeds.

1200/2100 core/mem, various voltages proportional to ASIC quality (they varied a great deal on this batch, but average is 880mV or so), modified 1425 strap

Hi Apneal, could you tell me what driver version you're running? I built a bunch of sapphire nitro+ 470 rigs last december and had no problem modding bios. I just got a Sapphire Nitro+ Rx 570 4gb w/hynix, and no matter what mem straps I use, it never goes above 24.5. It's really odd. Asic is high, core/mem at 1200/2100. Stock gives 22, so the bios mod is working (gives 24.5), but that's still way too low. Win 10 64 bit, MSI AB for clocking/-100mv. I'm at a loss. I've tried 1xxx, 2xxx, and every combination I can think of for straps, including your suggested 1425 up. Latest drivers are the only ones I have tried: 17.5.2  I'm starting to think I need to go find a recent but older driver version.

1.The connection between asic quality and memory clock I refer is different. The lower the ASIC quality is, the higher the voltage leakage is. So with low asic you can not make clocks as high as with gpu with high asic without modifying the voltage.

2.Stupid windows problems... Have you tried only modifying 6 cards with AB and use Radeon Setting only for the 7th.

I thought about it but decided against it. I'm happy to trade a few Mh/s for stability. I realise my cards aren't the best so I can live with that.

Out of interest, what hashrates do you guys get when dual mining ETH and DCR?

Turns out I was only doing the 1xxxx 1425 straps and needed to do both 1xxxx and 2xxxx.

Anyone know hashrate of ASUS Radeon RX 570 STRIX OC 4GB GDDR5 for ETH?

With Elpido memory I'm getting 28.4 mh/s and with Hynix I'm getting 28.04 mh/s

Can I ask what miner you are using and what bios settings?  I have the same card, but cannot get more than 20-22 mh/s out of it. Using Claymore solo. Flashed 1500 straps.  The highest memory clock I can get is 1700 +- Higher gets me a black screen. After a zillion reboots it's rather frustrating.
