I am 6 figures on LTC (ask people in my trading thread who I sent LTC to if you want proof) Did you just adopt at it's birth, were you wealthy enough to buy a shit ton or what? Just how do you people get so many of one coin? I'm enacting this grand plan to MAYBE get 2000 of a coin this week, which will be the most I've ever had.

why does it really matter? if you can cash them out or trade via the other sites and exchanges? just asking, not saying that it does not matter, but just wondering if already i can exchange ltc for usd or btc what matters when gox starts with ltc?
Think about it logically. If ltc goes on mtgox: - The supply of Litecoins in circulation and for sale remains the same (10 million litecoins aren't going to suddenly appear out of thin air) - Tons of the general Bitcoin buying public who haven't even heard of Litecoin before will be exposed to Litecoin - Therefore demand will go up, supply remains the same, economics 101 price of litecoin goes up It also adds a further 'stamp of credibility' to Litecoin being the true second choice to Bitcoin. It will bring a second wave of adopters. And it will also mark a step forward for cryptocurrency in general as too many bitcoiners refuse to acknowledge Litecoin or other alternate currencies and instead stick their head in the sand... when Litecoin goes onto mtgox the biggest exchange, the pink elephant in the room can no longer be ignored. Yes, that makes sense. Well, from a purely selfish pov i hope it doesn't hit gox soon since i only have a handful of them and need time to mine a few more

LTC was really cheap just over a month ago, I actually also had 6 figures in LTC, and I only spent about 200 BTC to get it. But then regrettably, I sold nearly all of my LTC as soon as their value doubled. Making a small profit, but then completely missed the bigger profits that would have made me a 1/2 millionaire. (LTC was $5 at the height of the rise) Right now I only have several thousand in LTC left.

Where are all the guys that were so confident of LTC on GOX this month? Now I will say, there is still a week left in this month so I could be made a fool of, but I hiiiiiiighly doubt it.
I'm still betting LTC for anyone willing to take the challenge. Serious bets only.

I like how LTC, which has an active developer, has dropped against BTC the past week while NMC, which has no active development, has gained nearly 60% against BTC.

Not coming to Gox before May 1st, thats a solid bet. But it WILL come. Gox stands to make A LOT more money by allowing LTC.
Because instead of just BTC/USD, there will also be BTC/LTC, LTC/USD. It theoretically triples the potential # of trades.
But even if it just boosted trading by 10%, this would easily be worth the cost to them of implementing it.
Furthermore, at this point its clear LTC has a bright future as a #2, and being ASIC resistant only makes its appeal greater.

I personally would want Mt Gox to wait until the next LTC release, 0.8, is out and become a stable release. This should be after May 15 or early June. LTC can wait for another month for the grand opening. No need to rush.
Also, a more important question is if Mt Gox is ready for the new trading band width once LTC is introduced?

I think this is what the delay is. They can hardly keep up with all the BTC traffic, much less add another currency without upgrading their infrastructure.
