I had big hopes in Trump. Just like I had in Obama 8 years ago. But the media and US government did it again. They fooled us. Made us think Hillary will bring WWIII but at the same time made us think that Trump is a nightmare for the western world and their goals to destroy middle east. Well played. Now they got installed a psycho as president.

Now, on many sources I´ve read, that war is coming soon. Japan, China, South Korea, North Korea and USA. Of course USA is playing the world police again and the scenario is written already. They act like they have to go against evil North Korea. Use of nuklear weapons pretty much possible. At the end, all I hope is that the US will see how war is. I hope the war will not be in Europe, middle east etc. I hope it will come to you Uncle Sam. In your country. Kill you premium humans and your children.

Whatever. What do you guys think will happen with the BTC price if this scenario will come true in a few weeks?

I have pretty much all my cash in Bitcoin and I am not sure if everything would go to hell if these psychos start this war? I guess they will cut most of the internet connection in the world, so people can not communicate and nobody will know whats going on in the world. So they can do their crimes and we have to start believing the shit in the newspapers again.

Not sure what to do with them coins now? I guess Fiat money will also be useless in war. Switch all to gold?

If the war starts im sure btc will be unusable since I think internet connection would be cut off resulting to never moving price or a low bitcoin price. Fiat I think will have worth but it is not that much and gold might have worth too. For sure if war happens the world would be chaotic so better prepare ourselves for fighting and our bitcoin stash safe and sound so that we will have some money to return to if war will end.

Yes, in the event of a world nuclear war, many currencies will depreciate. Perhaps only gold will represent at least some value.

Why would you go all in on Bitcoin though? Aren't you putting too much time and money in Bitcoin? Since Bitcoin is pretty much made by a human being what makes you want to put a bunch of money into it during a war?

Bitcoin isn't worth more than Gold so I don't see how Bitcoin will help in that situation. Gold been around plenty of wars and look at where it is right now, pretty expensive now days.

Just because of the war I don't think that the bitcoin usage comes to an end. Right now the boiling of war moves were found hard between two countries who have got good weapons. But this won't affect the entire bitcoin network. Only those countries gets affected a little.

Trump's games won't affect; but a full blown war will. We have gotten used to extended times of peace (apart from small localized conflicts). A war will affect all asset classes, including Bitcoin.

From my perspective, Trump has made a good move, it was planned very precisely I think, because the president order to bomb the Syria was during conversation between Trump and China leader, they were speaking about North Korea case.
The purpose of that bombing was to show the China president that Trump is not afraid to use his power even against independent country, that was supposed to show that he won't be afraid of China if bombing North Korea will be necessary.

As you said, we had peace on most of the planet for a long time. We got used to it, but the possibility of war between some big countries has raised among last years.

If there was a big war, and god forbid there was any kind of 'lights out' scenario in China, then that would be very bad for Bitcoin. On the otherhand, if there was a big war, it is unlikely to kick off at some agreed time, such 3pm, next Saturday afternoon with the replay being held the following Wednesday evening should the first round of the war end in a draw. i.e. Bitcoin's biggest potential in my view has always been capital flight from people who have savings in vulnerable currencies, which the CNY might well be in the run up to a situation that could result in a big war. Mind you, Chinese investors also have gold, with China being the both biggest producer and importer of physical gold, and a gold exchange having recently opened in Shanghai.

According to the Bitcoin weekly chart, Bitcoin has had it's big ramp. There is confirmed divergence between RSI and price action, with confirmed bearish structure in place on the weekly RSI. Bitcoin has had a momentus run up. an increase of around 400% overall. If you have caught all that, time to take some profits. Bitcoin has a potential hardfork event coming up and looking around other cryptos, those always mean instant losses. Gold on the otherhand is on the verge of breaking out of a 6 year bear market, having spent the last 2 years scraping along the floor. With the way geo-political events seem to be lining up, this chart seems to make sense. The Chinese and Russian central banks aren't stockpiling Bitcoin, they are stockpiling gold. The Chinese and Russian governments haven't just implemented Bitcoin as a means of settling international trade. They have just implemented gold as a means of doing this job.

Take some of that Bitcoin, and buy some gold and hold onto it. Those gold coins will still be highly valued long after Bitcoin has went down in the history books as the very first failed crypto-currency attempt.

I am bearish on Bitcoin at the moment, so my advice would be to sell it all, but of course, I might be wrong about that. Some other posters may butt in here and point out that I am a Bitcoin perma-bear, but this is not true. Look through the latter pages of my TA thread, and you will see that I have been touting $1500 BTC since Sept 2016, when Bitcoin was still in $500s, post the Finex scam. To me, it looks like BTC isn't going to get to $1500 on this move. Perhaps it will further down the line. Or perhaps it never will. Bitcoin is a hugely risky investment for someone to have 'all their cash in', with huge systemic risks in every direction that you look......take it from someone who has been robbed by two exchanges now (Kraken and Finex) and discovered the hard way how these places are set up in order that the operators can do what ever they please with complete impunity.


Edit: I am also deeply dissappointed in Trump and cannot abide those who seek to find excuses for him or cover him with a rose tinted gloss. The great big bloated orange egotistical prick has either sold out, or is being controlled, or has taken everyone for a ride all along. I don't care which is the case. I have only to thanks Mr. Trump and the good USA command to be the world police again, that was what good people from precarious countries were missing so much on the last decade, while their governments were stealing their people, Mr. Obama praised their corrupt leaders to avoid a conflit or just to be demagogic as he always was!

The civilized nations of this world should help the precarious nations not by sending them medicines, food, clothes or some pennies, but helping them to achieve their INDEPENDENCY, LIBERTY by kicking thieves from the governments, especially if they are harmful for the world peace like in the North Korea and arabian countries!

Exact same story. Started with an strong combined attack on weak Poland by USSR and the third reich. After they plotted a plan togheter they they plundered it, and robbed the Polish people. After that an attack on weak Holland and Belgium. No chance, easily robbed and defeated. I understand what OP talks about here, his concerns about war are real, its not something imaginary. What to with money, playing safely means that you should keep some bitcoins, buy some gold and for any case have some cash.

Already happening in the middle east, Africa, ISIS and other terrorism groups. MOAB used just a weak ago. No my friend, they are using weapons for years, and it will continue for ever because there is always 1 group that will use violence and others that will react to it.

North korea cant even launch a proper rocket. They wont have a chance. USA can launch rockets from south korea. The north is isolated. It was just a matter of time before the democratic countries are going to destroy the last communism country. We saw it at Cuba, North Korea is just the next one.
