try reinstall win10 using any amdgpu as video out from beginning.

Just tried it. Plugged in a single GPU and use that as video output, there's no image on my screen if I enable Windows 10 mode in bios. If I disable windows 10 whql support in bios, it works fine but I can't boot into a windows install or windows itself. If I plug the monitor directly into the onboard hdmi, then everything works fine.

I disabled fast boot and it seems to be working!! I get proper video output from one gpu shown on my monitor with 7 gpus hooked up. However now Device Manager only shows 5 GPUs instead of 7.

Bios settings same as before. All Gen 1 with 4G Enabled
Actually, everyone says that GEN must be "2", but i have the same problem as you - Device Manager shows only 5 GPUs no matter what.

Hi All,

New info for thouse who installed 6-7 cards but see only 5 in Win10 and you already installed AMD driver.  After all thing according to first page done, you need to do the following:
0) Go to BIOS, then to "Board Explorer" and check that all your cards are visible there. Reboot to Windows.
1) Install Intel Chipset Driver, download from MSI support site. Reboot.
2) Install Intel Management Engine Driver, download from MSI support site. Reboot.
3) Go to Device Manager, remove all RX cards. After some time (several minutes) they are starting to come back. Wait until you see all of them (we have 6). Reboot.
Enjoy.

i'm not quite sure that item 2 is required, but with the above we have 6 cards visible in the system.

Does the display show artifacs when Above 4G Decoding set to Enabled is normal? I turn off the computer when I see them should I wait?

 Huh

If not active 4G when connecting the fifth GPU appears a memory error, did it happen?

 Huh

Can somebody film the startup of the miner?

I can't get more than 4 working, even with the GPUmod to allow more cards. I'm thinking it's just a crappy chipset...

Sounds like you do not have 'Above 4G Encoding' enabled.

When enable 4G Encoding should use ONBOARD Video or PCIE Video?

4G Encoding should work with 3 GPU? (FOR TEST then try with 5)

Similar problem with h270 prime (asus)

Got 2 rigs g4560, Asus h270 Prime, 8gb ram & x6 470 8gb

Above 4G enabled in bios, Pci set in Gen1 wherever possible.

Both rigs work with all Six gpu with smOS.

Windows 10 enterprise boots only when 5 GPU are connected, as soon as I connect a 6th they Crash on Boot with ATTEMPTED EXECUTE OF NOEXECUTE MEMORY

Whichever gpu I disconnect and leave 5 online, windows boots all 5 cards recognized....

Does anyone know about this issue;

Hi, I would like to say that is not true about CPU.
I have Intel Celeron G3930 - it's Kaby Lake and I run on 7gpus (rx480-8g).

But my rig shuts down always, sometimes in 1h, others in4h... Cant find the reason, i dual mine etc+sia and only 2 cards are 84° the others are under 75°. Watt is around 1580 and my psu is 1700w enermax.
Anyone having such troubles?
More RIGdata: Win10x64, 8GbRam, 32Gb VirtualfileSwap. and IntelSkylake. I tried 5 amd drivers, and shuts down with any driver.

For this to work, does it require Win 10 in UEFI ?

Does it do that with only 6 GPUs? You're getting close to the power limit of your PSU. Another probable culprit would be one or more of your risers.

It requires Windows 10 to be installed in UEFI mode, yes. I don't know if it works with earlier versions of Windows or not.

Same problem with this board, can't get more than 3 GPU running.

If I add a 4th GPU, no matter what, the bootup just sits there with a flashing cursor.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO annoying.

Haven't figured it out yet.

Fuk me.

Here is what you should;
Go to BIOS and update the bios to 1.D version

How do we do that? Only thing I haven't tried.  Pulling my fukin hair out here.

Updated to 1.D bios, enabled 4G.

Can't boot with more than 4 cards, if I add a 5th GPU then the system just sits there at a black screen.

Win10

Any ideas?

Mine was finicky until I manually set the RAM speed to 2133.  Also if you use a single stick make sure it's in the 2nd slot from the CPU.

Hey can you confirm you got this working on this board (gaming m5) with Celeron G3930?

I have this CPU and I have just had a different board cancelled on me so was thinking about this as a replacement, but a lot of people seem to have trouble with it especially with Kabylake processors.

Thanks in advance!
