I don't believe that news. I saw it recently, and I just waved it as one of those news stories that was created out of thin air. During the transfer window, a lot of rumours spread, and a lot of them are lies. Madrid doesn't need a striker, they already have Mbappe and Gyokeres is not the kind of player that will be a second option, so why would Sporting offer him to Madrid of all clubs while rejecting offers from both ManUited and Arsenal that are interested? Madrid has never for once shown any interest in the player.

It's similar to the Nico Williams news. The news said Madrid was interested in Nico, but the player only wanted Barcelona. Why would Madrid want another LW when they already have Vinicius, Rodrygo and Mbappe, who are all natural left wingers, but only Vini plays that position? You should have known by now that Real Madrid is not signing a player with high amount of money, they have been preferring to take players for free due to their influence, and I don’t expect them to accept Victor Gyokores because they have Endric and Mbappe, and they are also planning to keep Rodrigo.

Yes, Arsenal is not always bringing big players because of money, but it is clear to everyone including the team owners that the team’s main problem is a reliable striker, and if they didn’t sign a striker, they will hardly win trophies with this their current squad, that is why we are given them attention because for them to signed Declan Rice with such huge amount of money last summer, they can sign a striker now because the amount will surely be less than what they paid for Rice.

And to be honest, Gyokeres really deserves to be able to play in a bigger league like the Premier League or La Liga. But yes, the player's release clause is quite high, meaning that this player doesn't get many offers, maybe even none. Even though we all know the ability and sharpness that Gyokeres has now and in the last few seasons. He is a goal scoring machine which is really needed by a team that is not very productive in attack. Initially when I saw Amorim coming to Man United I thought Gyokeres might also get an offer from Man United. But that doesn't seem to happen. You really think clubs think about that? Football is business, sometimes things are done strategically if not for anything but for ways to generate more revenues. People are now eager to watch football and the more they do this things for their fans, more money they make, unless they want to go broke but with fair policy, no club can spend more than what each club earn on a season to avoid been broke to cater for other expenditures, football is about income now.

Not only that, clubs demands is what make sellers to increase price anyway they want. What would you have a club do when there are 5 clubs, hot 5 clubs from different leagues trying to buy a particular player, they are going to try as much as possible to increase the asking price, that's how price get high and yet one particular club go to the extent of buying the player.
