Very good deal for Sunderland but i would have liked him to join a club where he would have gotten the chances of winning a trophy as he won at Leverkusen. Granit Xhaka is an excellent player right from when he played at Arsenal and i was happy when he won the Bundesliga which made me think that if he had still remained at Arsenal he wouldn't have been lucky to win such a major trophy. Sunderland have been out of the Premier League since 2016/2017 season after they were relegated, they are now back again to the Premier League and i think that they must have learnt a lot after facing relegation for so long and they want to sign players that will strengthen the squad so that they won't go back to relegation again so Granit Xhaka is surely a player that can contribute to the success and growth of the team.
But it's not in his place to choose a club for himself and I don't think any top team in Europe that is capable of winning the league wants his services. His kinda old now even to attract these kind of teams to himself. The good thing is that he has won a league title something that eluded him in all his Arsenal days.

The Joao Felix transfer rumours could be true as major media outlets are strongly suggesting that the Portuguese star could sign with Al Nassr this summer. Joao Felix is a talented player so I believe he will do well when he plays for Al Nassr and will get to play with Cristiano Ronaldo for almost a full season. I don't think he will turn down such a big offer and in a few days we may find out that the Portuguese star has signed with Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr. However, it is true that while he has the opportunity to further his career in Europe, he will not have the opportunity to further his career in the Saudi Arabian league.
It would be a difficult decision for Joao Felix to make if he moved to the Arab League. While he would earn a higher salary, his career would be hampered. However, this might be the right choice, as no top league clubs are interested in signing him. Perhaps Joao will rediscover his skills in the Arab League, and I hope he considers the move carefully. What's to lose now? His career is hampered already. At 25 no top club is looking to sign him again to the extent that he was thinking of going back to Benfica. He caused it all, he was given a second chance by Chelsea after he couldn't make it in Barcelona but he chose to blow it again with his nonchalant style of play. He is still a good player but the way he plays is why no team wants him anymore so I think Al Nassr even saved his dying career with this move. It's a good move, the deal is sealed already and he is already with the team in their pre season camp I just hope the manager and fans are pleased with his style of play.

From the table of Fabrizio Romano just about 2 hours ago. He reported that Alexander Isak was offered €700k a week by Al Hilal and that he rejected such an offer, lol. Could this be a real news from Fabrizio or his just putting up a prank on people like us who waits for his transfer news or that amount was really offered and it was rejected by Isak. Could it be that he rejected that offer just to remain in the EPL because his got his eyes on moving to Liverpool instead?
He always rejected approaches from Saudi, and that news is not a prank. We have seen how saudis paid millions for Ronaldo weekly. How can't they pay 700k weekly for Isaak? That amount ain't nothing for saudi. He wants to stay in EPL, and asked his club to go to the Liverpool. He is pure willing to keep play in europe, and it's because his passion. He's not putting monetary as his priority. Well the difference is that Ronaldo is a big and influencial name if not that, who will pay such amount of money on a 40 years old man. I understand that Isak is young and hot at the moment and still in his prime, but the way these Saudi clubs are splashing money, it's really affecting the transfer negatively. Now any club that isn't financially buoyant can't make reasonable signings of players that they want. Money is part of the business if not, the wealthy clubs will take over the football industry. This is why you see that wealthy investors are the ones buying football clubs currently, because money changes everything. This is the mindset of the Saudis but they forget that their league is not yet mature enough and lack the quality because they are not football freaks from onset. They just started having interest in football. Young Europe players will find it difficult playing outside Europe. Yeah, money is the real deal and funny enough they've got more than enough of it presently that they don't even know what to do with it other than throw it around here and there. Yeah, it's true when you said they just started having interest in football not too long ago. Just watch their league and see how the stadiums are mostly empty, that's because football is not their thing. They are just trying to show interest in the game because it's football that brings the world together. Money is everything in today's football, and if a club wants to be the very best in any league they have to pump in real money in large sum to get the best players into their team. But still not withstanding there are leagues that have gained popularity and prestige along side with the money which attracts players to the club than anywhere else in the world. The EPL is one first of such leagues. The Saudi has th money for sure but they haven't yet gained that prestige and popularity with viewers , which for many players in Europe they don't think they will want to have their prime time there despite the money offered. Maybe with time the Saudi league could grow beyond what it is now.

When i think about how much that guy was promising back in his teenage years… His career suddenly started going downhill. Now he’ll be playing alongside Ronaldo, who believe will give him some useful advice. Maybe it’s not too late for him to get another chance in europe after his contract with Al Nassr. He’s a good player, as you mentioned, but a wasted career.

Nonchalant style of play you say, I think yes Joao Felix didn’t leave up to expectations and his first big mistake was signing for Atletico Madrid, at Atletico Madrid he was playing under Simone which isn’t playing the same pattern of football that will suit this young talent then and that’s why he opt out, he made mistakes by going out on loans and this affected him because most of the clubs that he went to weren’t able to meet his transfer fee and they sent him back. At Chelsea were he was finally bought I think he was never given the opportunity to actually prove his worth, this was a player coming from a various failed loan spells and only lots of game time would help him but he wasn’t given any of this under Maresca so i don’t see where he miss used the Chelsea opportunity. For me it was a huge mistake going to Chelsea in the first place because they were seriously packed with depth then and he wasn’t going to have the game time he needs and that’s why it affected his development

Real Madrid has never had financial issues the last time I remember and they had experienced growth due to the trophies they won in the last 5 years so right now it they have decided to start making profit with buying and selling of players like the Dortmund team you mentioned I hope they don't sell their star players like Dortmund and start getting the issues of underperformance and not being able to win trophies. If Real Madrid could focus on the business and still be dominating in the game and continue winning trophies then it's a good one for the team.
Real Madrid have always been dominating and topping the chart for the most profit made in club football, we shouldn’t even compare the two clubs, because Real Madrid have the ability to attract even big names and small names and it is the small names that they develop and sell off not that they will sell there big names like the way Dortmund does there business. Should Madrid ever sell off there big players it will be for a more bigger player The success behind the Real Madrid finance is Florentino Pérez because all the time he made so many great decisions to make the team finance. This all credit goes to him, whether it's about bringing a big player or selling some of the team players. The real secret of the club's success is that you adopt that method which can improve the club state. Not like the president of Barcelona, who just spends big fee and big wages even if he gets banned later. Perez even said goodbye to Ronaldo when he demanded high wages. So it is true that Perez's transfer skill is outstanding, like he signs top players for zero fee, i.e. Kylian Mbappe.

Here we go for Granit Xhaka to Snderland. All agreement has taken place and a decision has been met. Total fee around €20m, player signed a 2 year contract, 2025 - 2027. Ex Arsenal player will be coming back to EPL this season, playing under Sunderland FC. Source - https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1949780258917421536/photo/1The signing of Granit Xhaka by Sunderland is a very good deal. They are getting an experience player that has played many years in the premier league and also getting a Bundesliga championship. I have always liked Granit Xhaka from his day playing for Arsenal. I see a fighter and a very good midfielder. I am confident he is really going to help the team a lot with his experience and they also got him for a very good price. I can't wait to watch him in the premier league.

But what do we care - they can do it because of their financial power, profit and loss are consequences, but in the end they managed to bring more interest to modern football. I've never judged the approach of some wealthy Saudis to the sports industry. They have the financial power to make football better and more attractive in their country - and then earn profit from it in various ways, including selling team kits and other such things.

Have a look at what is considered the Saudi Arabian national sport. It is, surprise surprise, football! I don't know whether they really brought any additional interest to modern football as a whole. They did raise interest in their domestic league, but that is it. As the sponsors of the Club World Cup, they must have realized that not every event they host will be welcomed by the fans around the world. But they seem to not care as they have goals other than most people think they have.

Spot on. Some top players get into the club via free transfers because they have always "dreamed" of playing for the greatest club in Europe and in case the time to sell them comes, Real Madrid makes good money because they mostly sell the player when he is still good. I noticed they haven't been so haste in signing expensive players like they used to do in the Galactico era. Everything is about timing and patience thanks to their President Perez.

I don't think they're throwing money away without getting a return - even we just don't know how they'll profit from their investment in football. To be honest, I’m not sure if the Saudi teams are actually making a profit. I think their jersey sales, broadcast revenue, and tournament revenue are all very low compared to Europe. When you compare those to the salaries and transfer fees they’re paying, I’d say they’re definitely operating at a loss. Football’s heart is in Europe. How many true football fans in Europe are even watching the Saudi League? Personally, I haven’t watched a single game. They just have money to waste, and that's what they're doing.

Exactly they smartly attract top players sometimes even for free because these players dream of joining such famous club. This lets Madrid get world class talent without spending much at first and then they sell these players for good profit while they are still playing well. This shows their great long term planning. You also rightly noted that President Florentino Perez has made them more patient and strategic focusing on good timing to buy players which helps them stay financially stable and at top of European football.

The signing of Granit Xhaka is a good signing for the Sunderland team, Considering that he has played in the Premier league and have experience during his time playing for Arsenal, he was phenomenal, I think Sunderland have been very good with their recruitment team, they are a team showing ambition to stay in the Premier league and I think if they know how to arrange the team for them to come together, Now they’ve gotten a good team it now depends on the manager to integrate the new players, Granit Xhaka is a good midfielder who can control the middle and can send in some good passes to the other attacking players and can score unexpected goals. I think it’s a good deal for both sides Sunderland wanted the player and he wanted to leave, and Bayern Leverkusen have to get some good deal of money from them. So let’s see how it goes for Sunderland this coming season because they have made some investment during the transfer window.

Every player wants to play for Real Madrid. That's why his strategy is based on the team's strengths. It makes perfect sense to me, and it's a smart approach. Instead of paying exorbitant transfer fees, he can sign players for free. Kylian Mbappé's transfer is a major transfer success in this respect. Not every team can attract such a player. Real Madrid is arguably the only team in the world capable of doing so. Florentino Perez is a key figure in this regard. He's a president who constantly elevates the team's level.

I like Gyökeres, but I'm still not sure he's a player who can compete in the Premier League, especially Arsenal. While Portuguese league defenses tend to be quite spaced out, the PL isn't. The Premier League is the exact opposite. Gyökeres's key is his shooting, which requires him to create shots much quicker in the PL; he needs to be fast, otherwise he'll be blocked too easily and won't be able to maintain his place in the PL.

Both leagues are different, the EPL is very much physical than that of the Portugal league and the only way to know if he can compete in the EPL is to wait for next season to start. With the number of goals he registered last season and season before is really incredible and impressive so why can't he do same in the EPL for the Gunners? Let the players help him out to feel at home and if they use that same mentality Madrid did with Mbappe like letting him have the ball more, I believe it will boost his morale.

Gyökeres isn't just a useless player, my friend. He's definitely a quality striker. The Portuguese League and the Premier League are different leagues in terms of both quality and difficulty, but Gyökeres is a quality striker. I think he'll score at least 20 league goals. I waited a long time for Manchester United to sign him, but Arsenal finally did after a long wait. Arsenal made a good signing. He scored six goals in the Champions League. He caught the eye with his three goals against City. I'm eagerly awaiting his performance.

if a player is as good as he is hype, he can deliver in any league he finds himself, their is nothing special about the English premier league because if the intensity of the EPL is very high, it wouldn't take a good and intelligent player to understand adapt just in a week or two. So Gyokeres has no excuse to give, if he is good, adaptation wouldn't be the problem, let's take a look at cristiano Ronaldo as an example, he has always deliver goals in where ever he plays, that entails that he is good, that's why I don't buys into this idea that someone that is good will come into the EPL and start struggling, if he is good and intelligent as a player, he will adapt fast , because anything that makes Gyokeres fail to deliver in the first few weeks of his arsenal days, the pressure he might face might even kills his confidence completely which is going to be the beginning of his end in the colors of arsenal, so for him to succeed and prove that he is actually good, he has to hit the ground running without delay because pressure has already started mounting, and it's his performance in the field of play that is going to determine whether it's going to increase or not.

I still think he's a good midfielder. He performed well at Arsenal, which I liked, but after a long spell playing for him, he opted for Germany. He's now back in the Premier League and I think he'll have a good season with Sunderland.

I think they're very astute businesspeople, and history has shown this. We can even see how wealthy they are. And they saw that there was a real opportunity in football, so they started investing heavily in it. But the country isn't just investing heavily in football; they're also investing heavily in other sports. And while most stadiums there don't always attract large crowds, football has always been a passion for the people there. They've only started investing more seriously since there was a slight change in power or something. Clearly, this has something to do with the current power holders. Some policies have even changed, becoming more flexible and less restrictive. As a result, foreign tourists are now attracted to the country.
