That's funny how Atalanta really care about few extra Million they can make from Lookman. They can afford 50 Million Euros, I'm sure they have the money although they prefer to sign players with small fees.

I'm sure Atalanta also want to sell Lookman because in the next year his contract expiry and they won't able to get anything.

It was reported an hour ago by multiple sources, including Fabrizio, that Liverpool made an official bid of £120 million pounds for Isak, which was rejected by Newcastle United. If I were to guess, I'd say the reason for turning down the offer is not because they haven't found a replacement. I think they want more money than what Liverpool is offering. Based on how desperate Liverpool is to land him, I expect them to bid again with an improved offer.

Isn't this an old dead end? Newcastle want 150 and Liverpool are ready to give 120. It seems that these have been the positions of the clubs for quite some time.
Personally I would like Liverpool to get him but without any dirty play (blackmail from the player). Now I hope Newcastle will show firmness, I want to see some drama. I don't like people who don't fulfill their contract, so I hope that in this case Isak will be punished.

If Arne Slott can bring Isak to the team, then it will be a big deal. Because Isak is a great player, his technical skills, movement, finishing are very good. Which he has shown us before. He will have a good relationship with Salah or Nunez. However, Liverpool is depending on Newcastle to decide whether they will get Isak or not. So Liverpool should not plan so much about Isak in advance. If Newcastle do not get a striker, then they will never be willing to let Isak go. According to Arne Slott, Isak will do very well. But putting full pressure on one can be risky.

Is this play or something, because I don't understand. Donnarumma to Manchester United seem like it's going to be a crazy transfer if you ask me. For someone that's just coming off the back of winning a treble with his PSG side now a team that isn't even competing in any European competition is coming to look for him. I get your point and to be honest, Donnarumma going to Manchester United this season is a downgrade to him, he just won tha champions league a couple of months back so signing for a team without European football seems challenging. It's not now though and no one is sure if it's going to be Manchester United or another club. I listened to some analysis sometimes ago and I think players now are adapting to it. PSG said that he has refused to renew three times now, I think he wants to run down his contract and from January next year, players that have only one year left in their contracts is free to negotiate personal terms with any club.

With the first bid from Liverpool recently rejected by Newcastle and Liverpool having no such plans to bid again,  I don't see Isak becoming a Liverpool player anytime soon. I believe even if they have the money, that offer is just too much for him truthfully. Newcastle will do all to milk out that money. They've seen more than three players rejecting them for other clubs. A move for Wissa of Brentford could be made possible I see.

120 million is more than decent enough to persuade Newcastle imo, and Liverpool reportedly are not going to improve that bid, I believe they might done so, If Newcastle and Isak had spoken out early enough before Liverpool went all out to get Ekitike for over 75 million, they sure would have had no problem increasing the bid, but they're still yet to be rid of surplus to requirement players like Nunez and Chiesa...

Although Lookman is a key pillar of their attack, if he leaves Atalanta, it will create a void in their attack. In this summer transfer window, where player prices are skyrocketing, it is only natural that Atalanta will set a high price for Lookman and reject any offers from Inter Milan that do not meet their asking price. This is understandable because if Lookman leaves, Atalanta would have to bring in a new player of equal caliber.

According to Fabrizio, he said Newcastle United rejected the deal. No further information on whether the offer was not good enough or they're not interested in selling him. However, since they're searching for a new striker, I think they would want to sell it to get the right offer.

Also, you need to look at it from the other way. What if Liverpool felt that if they signed Isak first before going for Ekitike, he would not want to join them, knowing that he will have to battle it out with Isak for the number nine position, and so they went for him first. You know, you can't rule out that possibility either. Between the both of them, Isak's rating is higher than Ekitike's, and it would make a lot of sense to go for him first before Ekitike but Liverpool did the opposite.

This transfer deal is not making sense to me again at this point. So, if i understood correctly, Liverpool still has plans to sign Isak, who happens to be a striker, despite signing Ekitike, who is also another striker. I'm not sure of the formation, but it doesn't make much sense to me honestly. Ekitike cost Liverpool so much, and Isak is definitely going to cost more, so i'm not sure of how ideal it is to bench a very expensive striker for another expensive striker.

And from the side of Newcastle, i can start to perceive some greed in their stance for this very Isak deal. They placed a transfer fee of 120M initially, which Liverpool were willing to pay, but later failed to happen. And now, they are rejecting offers. It seems we are going to be seeing a lot of players-club fight often. We saw that same case with Gyokeres before finally joining Arsenal. And i can perceive that similar issue wll occur with Sekso making a move to Newcastle in place of Isak's possible replacement. Clubs these days are just too aggressive with prices of players.

I think they extended his contract idk for how many years.
But yest this is one of the last possibility to sell the player for an overpriced price.

The want to sell the player but they dont need the money also probably after selling Retegui 1 month ago to Arabs for 65m€.
It is difficult to deal with Atalanta and in the end if you want their player you need to pay what they want, there is no margin for negotiation.

I totally understand why Newcastle is unwilling to let Isak leave. How would you let your best player leave if you have not being able to find a replacement, I guess that will be there major reason not to want to let go of him. Isak will really be a wonderful addition to Liverpool, but I would not advice them to spend that high on him, since they already signed Ekitike.
Despite the fact that Isak will be a good signing for Liverpool,  I also think it might affect the team, since they already got Ekitike and I don't think he will be happy to be on the bench. I think the best thing for Liverpool is to forget about Isak and concentrate on getting a left winger.

Lookman is someone who knows the Italian league. He had some fantastic matches with Atalanta, scoring three goals in a memorable UEL final against unbeaten Leverkusen. Lookman could be the right choice for Inter. He's contributed 20 goals to the team, scoring 15 goals and providing five assists in 31 appearances. It's only natural that Inter would want to sign him. Strikers of his caliber are rare in Italy.

I don't think this is an act of selfishness from the player because if a player feels that he is not welcomed at a place where he once made history then if he wants to leave, the team should create a fair atmosphere for him to leave instead of trying to frustrate his move by hiking his release clause. Remember that Ademola Lookman was insulted by Gian Piero Gasperini when he missed a penalty against Club brugge in last season's Champions League games, so it is very bad of a coach to disrespect a player that helped the team win the Europa league title in previous season and since then Ademola Lookman haven't been in good understanding with the coach so in that situation leaving the team was the best option.
      I agree that Ademola Lookman is worth more than the amount that Inter Milan is offering him but if the player insist to agree on that price they should let him go after all a player like Viktor Gyokeres sacrificed everything just because he wanted a move to Arsenal and he achieved it so the case of Ademola Lookman shouldn't be an exception.
