That's how the real football club looks like. You can't deny there is also a business in football. They also need to balance their book every year while they're building a squad with good composition to win the trophy, and obviously the prize.

Chelsea does a smart business by restocking a lot of players, then won some trophies to pump the price of their players. So they can flip them all for profit. People who complained about their method obviously have zero knowledge in business. Yeah they spent a lot, but also book a lot of profit too.

Basically, everything in this world is always related to business or the search for financial gain. And so it is in football. So, yes, it's not surprising. Especially now that we know Chelsea is co-owned by Todd Boehly, who is known to be a savvy businessman. So it's not surprising that Chelsea now seems more transparent in its business, especially in the player transfer market. And indeed, that's a good thing for Chelsea's financial health. In fact, sometimes I'm amazed at how this club finds promising young players and then buys them. And I'm also amazed at how quickly Chelsea releases some players. We know that other clubs sometimes struggle to release players in the transfer market at a good price. But Chelsea often does it well. When they brought in seven new players, it turns out this team has also released the same number of players. Financially, I don't think Chelsea has anything to worry about. However, I hope the key players on this team can be retained well.

You need not being surprised mate, if you had followed up the whole shenanigans antics pulled off by Napoli towards Victor Osimhen's move from Napoli which layer landed him in Galatasaray eventually. This is just a similar path Atalanta are seemingly taking towards Ademola Lookman as he has declared his interest to leave the club. Overpricing his transfer fee means discouraging intending suitors for him within this summer transfer window.

Let's not dive too much to how they treated Osimhen before Galatasaray. He need to go back and check how Napoli was messing up things for Osimhen during the transfer period. They were forcing him to accept Saudi Arabia club because the club was willing to spend more he ever imagine because he wanted going for a better club but Napoli wasn't pushing because the salary scale was low, they wasted his time and effort and he has to accept Galatasaray in the end.

Even this Galatasaray, the deal was seal off because Galatasaray knows they need Osimhen and they don't have any means to get a better replacement so they have to settle with Osimhen but gave him long contract and then Galatasaray negotiate with Napoli but even with this, they were trying to get more money from Galatasaray. The contract for Osimhen is ridiculous. They wanted to make profits for Osimhen future  sells, imagine if they dis this.

<Snip>.

I'm still surprised why the Lookman deal has not been finalized, despite being on the news for weeks now. I remember stating that, a lot of clubs are now becoming greedy with transfers, as they now overpriced players, and put them in a situation where they are forced to hate the club. They just try to slow down every deal for a very good player in their club, which is now becoming rampant.

Yes, they're aiming to keep Lookman at the club by keeping his transfer fee high. Lookman wants to leave. I hope he doesn't suffer the same fate as Osimhen. Unfortunately, in Italy, they try every possible way to sell players at high prices. This is a detrimental move to the player's mental health, but no one seems to care about him.

For this reason, Atalanta will likely give Lookman an easy way out before the transfer window closes, as seen in a similar case last season when Koopmeiners wanted to leave for Juventus. Atalanta simply wants to maintain the clause so that it remains in line with their desired price, as they know that forcing the issue would be very difficult, so they are just trying to hold out to get what they consider a fair deal.

Currently, it depends on Inter whether they can meet Atalanta's clause. The summer transfer window is about to close, and this is the right time to continue negotiations quickly, allowing them to secure the player in the final moments before the new season officially begins.
I think the odds are still 50:50, and given the current situation, I’m quite skeptical that Atalanta will treat Lookman the same way they did Osimhen at Napoli, as they still maintain a very high level of professionalism.

I don't see Son's move to the MLS as the right decision, and it's especially surprising because there were almost no rumors about Son leaving Tottenham.
The question is why Son moved to the MLS, as he should be able to play in a much more competitive league and still achieve the best of his career.
Some say age is a factor, as the Premier League is highly competitive, which can affect a player's performance. However, considering Son's abilities, he may still have plenty of potential to play there in the next year or two.
This is a difficult decision for Tottenham, as they will need to find a suitable replacement in the near future.

I also find this decision strange. He just turned 33 last month. If he thinks that he is no longer suitable for Tottenham due to his age (sounds funny huh?), he could stay in Europe with another team and another league. In extreme cases, it makes sense to go to Saudi Arabia, as there is clearly more money there and the league level is more serious than MLS. The highlights I've seen from MLS are reminiscent of women's soccer  Grin
Yeah, definitely he would need to stay in Europe because his age is still not much, he could have easily played at the top level. His physicality is also quite strong, like stamina, pace, and strength all the attributes were quite better, but despite that, he has called European football a good buy at just 33 years. Anyway, so far so good now he has chosen MLS we can't do anything about it. He knows better than us which league is better for him...

Any way, Son is a very humble and talented player who spent his entire peak of his career at Tottenham, although Tottenham could not win a single trophy. Even Harry Kane had left Tottenham, but Son could not leave the club due to his loyalty, although there many big big who offered him big money, but he preferred Tottenham.

I just have the feelings that Manchester United will play better by next season, Manchester United have made some few signings already, am sure the players which they have signed will be able to improve the teams performance, but we shouldn’t expect much from Manchester United by next season.
Well I just hope so for the sake of their fans especially because they have suffered this past few years in the hands of rival fans. So far, as I can recall,  they have made the least number of signings in the top teams of the league and they are expected to compete with these teams! These other teams will be more superior to them still if we consider the calibre of players they now have in their squad as compared to them.

We have got the here we go about Son.  Grin

Honestly I'm happy for him. Because he was still a respectable player maybe but he couldn't show his usual performance anymore. Not everyone is like Salah at this age.  Tongue

MLS is a really nice choice for him. He doesn't look competitive in Europe anymore. That's the reason.

No matter where he move to he'll always be loved by many fans even opposition fans love how he plays, is something I feel Spurs fans will miss from him, a great leader that took over from Harry Kane. Another thing about his choice of league, it doesn't look like a league that we have to say is competive in any way on like the EPL and some persons see the MLS as a weak league for him to go to, I thought of that too. I honestly thought of Son going to any of the Italian teams to continue what he left off at Spurs but this move looks like the only option and he had to say yes to because no other clubs was ready to ask for him.

According to Inter, they had a deal with Lookman that they wouldn't sell him to a rival a few years back. They said PSG were interested in him then for about 20 million, but it was unsuccessful. If Lookman agreed that the club won't sell him to a rival, then he should understand that Inter are not doing anything wrong. Some clubs don't like selling key players to key rivals. They already told him they will let him go this year, but not to a top club in Italy.

I hope they figure out a way to sort out the deal because I really want Lookman to upgrade to Inter. It's a league he already knows very well, and he will excel there. He won't need a lot of time to adapt.

Many especially Manchester United fans were also hopeful they'll do better than what we saw last season but what happened at the end? They had even a worse campaign than what we saw the previous season. I'm not trying to be pessimistic but all I'm saying is that Manchester United's results next season will not be decided by optimism but by their performance on the pitch.
Ruben Amorim I believe already knows he really needs to significantly improve from what we saw last season so I'll be expecting nothing but his best tactics and managerial prowess next season.

Manchester United is keen on selling Rasmus Højlund for £30 million this summer as they chase on Benjamin Sesko for him to lead the United attack. Just two seasons ago, Manchester United signed Højlund for £72 million from Atlanta and now they are willing to accept £30 million for his sale, bad business. It's bad business, because I don't think they have even realised the money they paid for his services over these past two years.
This has become one of the most dramatic transfers at Man United. Man United really wants to sell Hojlund as soon as possible, they want Sekso, but they haven't succeeded yet. On the other hand, it turns out Hojlund actually still wants to stay at Man United. This is quite a dilemma, even though the market value right now of this Center-Forward is around €35,000 million, it's a decreased compared with the first signing fee they paid. And now, Man United will release him for €30,000 million. Not only that, his contract at Man United actually still runs until June 30, 2028, so many parties say that this will be a big loss for Man United if they sell him. However, it seems Man United is very confident in their decision to sell Højlund. On the other hand, Man United does want Sesko, but there is no decision or official bid for CF from Leipzig. Meanwhile, on the other hand, there are several top clubs who also want Sesko, so the competition is getting tighter.
Yeah, from all indications, Hojlund still wants to stay at his current club but the thing is that both the management and fans are fed up with his inability to live up to expectations and fulfil the amount of money spent on him. But they fail to forget that for a striker to perform, there must be a solid chemistry between the attack and midfield. Manchester United didn't have that midfield to feed the attackers hence their poor run of form. Even if Haaland was to be in Manchester United team last season, he still won't be able to score lots of goals.

If they can be able to get Sesko, they will do better next season because the team will have the ability to score more goals since they have good attackers to pressure the oppositions defense.
Even with the players they have signed so far, and based on their performance in the preseason games, I think they will do better next season; there performance will be extremely different from last season because Amorim has started to showcase his talent and quality as a good manager, and he will do his best to win something since Manchester United will not play in either UEFA Champions League or Europa League, they will have enough time to focus on the EPL.

Son is only 33, the same age as Salah who is still tearing it up at the highest level. Maybe Son wants a change though, he has been at Spurs for 10 years and I guess unlike Salah, his team mates aren’t that great so maybe the extra work load has taken its toll on his body.

He seems like one of the great guys in football. I know Klopp loved him and said he wishes he had signed him for Liverpool. I wish him the very best in his next career move.
For me, I feel Son is still competing at the highest level, the unfortunately thing is that, he found himself in a midst of players that have not helped to amplify the good side of him, if Son was in a club like Liverpool or Manchester city, we would have appreciated him more, but one thing I kept on wondering is the fact that, he did not move over to any other club rather he decided to stay with Tottenham for such a long time, going to U.S isn't the best move for me.

In my opinion he has been a leader for Tottenham many years before Harry Kane left. Of course he wasn't in the limelight like Kane all the time, but the reason that so many fans like him regardless of what team they are cheering for, is that he gave his best in every single game and never wanted to be treated in any special way. He is a modest guy who knew what he had at Tottenham, no foul plays when negotiations were made for contract extensions. He just played his best whenever he got the chance to. A very likeable player and good to see that he doesn't take the first best financial offer from Saudi Arabia. He is going to have a great time in the MLS.

The most obvious thing is that Napoli didn't want to lose a penny and didn't care about the player or the fact that they could ruin him - either they would get money or nothing, because the player would stop getting good playing practice and would be cheap. It's surprising, really. I don't understand why Napoli couldn't have lowered the price by just 10-15%. If they had, they would have sold him to Galatasaray long ago.

However, it is precisely because of Napoli's selfishness that they have ended up losing out even more, and I think the steps they are taking now are quite good because, in addition to not delaying Osimhen's fate—which would only further diminish his value—this also puts an end to the never-ending drama of the past few seasons.

Compared to Napoli, I actually feel relieved for Osimhen in this situation because he is no longer haunted by transfer issues and the toxic relationship with Napoli, although this also arose due to Osimhen's own actions initially. However, it is indeed a good move for both parties to agree to go their separate ways.
Now, Osimhen just needs to focus on his new club, and Napoli must prepare for the upcoming season, which begins in just over a week.

Why I said he is or was a great leader at Spurs after taking over from Kane was because the way he compose himself each time he's on and off the pitch is something every fans would always love him for and they can't forget him in a hurry. He led the team to their first ever trophy for 16 years which many players have come and also left just because there was no hope of getting close, he stayed to and fight till they celebrated their first major trophy in a very long while. When moving to MLS we never heard of any deal or headline like the other players, he madehas made up his mind before now so I see him as one special player who choose the love and passion of the game over money.

Inter Milan just needs to secure his deal because he is such a fantastic player, and his addition regarding through the team sheet will make the team progress so much loud. So Inter Milan just needs to rush for his negotiations and make him officially become the player of the Inter Milan before closing the transfer window. Now we will see what Atlanta responds to. They demanded a big price tag from the first day, but now we will see whether Inter accepts or rejects this offer. Because in terms of market value, £80 million is a big price tag… Let's see what happens next until the end of the transfer window.

Yes I know you didn't say he wasn't a leader before that, but I only wanted to point out and emphasize that I felt he was the secret leader all the time as I think he was on the same level as Harry Kane and equally important to the team. Kane was a great scorer obviously and Son was a great scorer too, but he was working hard and running and running and he scored many of the decisive goals when Kane didn't score. Son is the player you want to have on your team when you already have a striker like Kane. There are so many eccentric players these days with weird hair cuts and styles and bullshit talk, Son is humble and appreciates what he has. I think that is what fans like a lot in times of rising ticket prices and exploding salaries.

If i were in Inter’s position, i would accept without hesitation. A player like that is exactly what Inter needs, especially considering he’s realistically in his prime years, and this could be a major turning point in his career. His form isn’t what it used to be, but that can definitely be recovered over the course of the season.

Congratulations to him, finally he has left a legend of the club after a decade of service. I'm happy for the fact that his leaving on a mutual agreement, no fall out between him and the club and as well as the fans. In addition Spurs will still be earning €15 million from his move. I'm sure the club will recognise him, if not now but maybe some day.
