Just after Madrid lost to the 2nd tier team, and now Perez is dreaming to sign Haaland as a striker to his club. I believe this another non sense thing since Haaland has a contract until 2034, which is still very long way to g. If they're serious about that, they shall have sent at very least 250m +++ to the City, which i believe it's too good to be true.
Also no guarantee for him to leave from City while Pep is still there. What to do you think? Does sign Haaland solve Real Madrid's problem? Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
Real Madrid has enough players who can compete and win any competition. Bringing in Haaland when players like Mbappe and Vinícius Júnior are still in Real is to cause more confusion. The club is already going through some internal crisis due to the egos of these top players. Bringing in another world class striker without resolving the issues within the club will escalate this dissagrements. What the club need snow is nothing but a good coach. A coach that can harness the resources of the club should be appropriate.

Bringing in Haaland would be completely fine, but only if either Mbappe or Vinícius moves to another club. Otherwise, it would turn into pure individual competition and, as we said, it wouldn’t solve any problems within the club , it would only make things worse. Arbeloa is a good coach he just arrived at an unfortunate moment

Of course, we don't know if they'll win the cup. Manchester City are still serious contenders for the championship. They're still in the title race behind Arsenal. Guehi is a young player who has been playing very high-quality matches in the Premier League. I think he can solve Manchester City's defensive problems. I think Guardiola has completed a very good transfer.

Yes they are only 6 points behind in the Premiership with 17 games remaining, which means their chances remain open. Signing Guehi also means they don't want to relinquish the title to Arsenal, I think it is a good transfer, and they have also got Semenyo. Wonder how solid Man City defense will be with a player who is doing well in the premier this season, I will definitely look forward to Guehi debut.

Sacking Arne Slot after all this time would be terrible idea obviously. If they were to do something like that, they should have done it months ago, when they were obviously terrible, they have recovered a bit and it's too late right now. Things aren't looking desperate, they are basically already accepting the fact that they are not going to win the league so they have to realize this is just a normal situation now and keep up until the end of the season.

By end of May, they can fire him and start the summer with a new manager if they want to, that is the way to go. Firing him now, and getting someone for just six months isn't an easy task and wouldn't really work out for them, they would have to do very badly for this to make sense.

His experience in the world football and especially in England cannot be left out of the discussion, at this point City is just putting the Premier League middle class teams to shame, imagine signing Semenyo and Guehi from the Premier League just some weeks apart.

Apart from Guehi being an excellent defender, the issue I have is his aerial balls, he is very vulnerable with opponents strikers Almost all the time hovering over him and those precise progressive balls some defenders always make, Guehi has a low passing accuracy but I hope Pep changes that

Bournemouth and Crystal Palace chose to sign one of their best players because they needed the money. Although I still think the deal on Guehi is too cheap, I feel he is worth more than that. Acknowledging that he is a Premier League-proven player.

Regarding Guehi's low passing accuracy. I think he can always improve with Pep. However, Pep needs someone who can make his defense stronger, not someone who will become a playmaker. Remember, Manchester City have the best attack in the EPL as we speak, now they need the defense to complement everything.

If the Liverpool hierarchy fires slot and hires someone else, the immediate target for that manager definitely wouldn't be to win the league. Such a transfer is only made so that the new manager can get to meet him players early enough and even get to know them and the changes he has to make in the team. So even if the Liverpool board fires Slot, i wouldn't be surprised. Xabi Alonso is without a job right now, he and Liverpool look like they'll be a great fit.

the reason why they were signed for a very low price is because they are close to leaving and with like this you the Crystal palace team actually did make a deal of around 20m I can  remember the Guehi actually been priced around 60m by Liverpool then with Liverpool not getting to reach agreement because this was actually one of those contracts for another. Guehi is leaving  for almost a fee that is negligible when we compare his fee to the current payment simply because he will be leaving for free in the summer as he has already informed the club of his decision, the club had early thought that they could actually cajole him to sign in for more years but as they learnt that his decision has been made instead of losing him for free in five months time they actually would love to take a little money now.

Liverpool was the club that was supposed to come back for his signature but they are reluctant to spend for Slot with his bad performance now as he could be sack anytime soon

Selling Guehi is not Crystal Palace's choice but the best decision they’ll make cause his contract is ending by 30th of June amd they could lose him for free, atleast they could ge6 26-£30m for him, as for Bournemouth, they're a midtable team and couldn't hold Semenyo for too long despite signing a lengthy contract last summer window, cause his performance kept catching the attention of top teams in the league, Manchester City won't regret signing him.

Anyways Guehi is the best signing amongst both cause the defense was one area City needed to work on, and bringing a player of such level would help solve lots of defensive issues for them, it's not like signing Semenyo is not important, yes it is cause their depth has gained more strength.

City is successfully dismantling Crystal Palace. Just after Palace let Guehi leaves to the City, their coach, Glasner blatantly told reporters in his interview he's willing to step down as Palace's coach. So, it's a double combo for Palace. Their best captain is gone along with their best manager soon.
It's gonna be a disaster for Palace. We know how big Glasner's impact to the club. So palace ain't a thing again next season.  Grin Grin

That's not all. In addition, Semenyo wont had stayed longer in Bournemouth because a club like that always sell their most precious gem for money. That is how they cope and survive in the league.

Regarding who is the best signing for Manchester City between Guehi and Semenyo. I think they are both important signings. Manchester City need more threat in the attack, at the same time, need stronger defence too.

Vinicius, Bellingham, Mbappé... Don't you see they all have something in common? The relatively young age. Real Madrid have been purchasing a lot of young players lately, the problem is that now they have no real leaders in the dressing room, just a bunch of spoiled kids who make tens of millions and think they are untouchable. This is the great downside of this type of strategy. Now there is no Ramos, no Modric, no Pepe, no Kroos, no Casemiro, all players with a great experience but also great charisma. I don't think it's a coincidence they all left and all these problems began to show up.
It has always been in the nature of real Madrid to build a team for the future and that's why you shouldn't be surprised about them now having relatively young players this time. Back in the time of casemiro, Modric, Ramos, Benzema, Bale and all those their fierce team mates, they all came into real Madrid team as young players and spent their useful years in real Madrid. Real Madrid is good at identifying young talents and going for the person because they don't believe in ancient of days players without a proof. We all saw how they closely monitored Kylian Mbappe for many seasons and even luring Mbappe to refuse renewing his contract and also refusing to take PSG conditions until his contract expiration of which it was actually selfish of him, but that's business for you.

Real Madrid is not afraid of releasing any player getting old because they would always make a good signing to replace the person. Both Modric, Ramos and their sets were still very good when they left real Madrid and this still wasn't very noticeable. The only effect is on the discipline level, it's really not topnotch. Now Vinicious Junior, Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham are the light bearers. They have the stage now and once they start aging, real Madrid will lay them off no matter how good they are.
Back in the days Real Madrid bought many players at their peak: Figo, Zidane, Ronaldo, Beckham, they all were closer to their 30s rather than 20s. And players like Modric, Benzema and Bale already proved what kind of players were. The only really young was Sergio Ramos. Now you have a bunch of very young players who moved to Madrid immediately after they turned 18 (Vinicius, Rodrygo, Arda Guler, Mastantuono, etc) so they never really had any intermediate step, they went from their decent team to the best one, and now they think they are the best. No, it doesn't work like that.
And a big problem for Real Madrid is that players like Bellingham, Vinicius and Mbappé are all primadonnas, each one of them thinks he's better than the others, and creates a toxic environment.

After the defeat to PSV Eindhoven, Liverpool have improved significantly and managed to maintain their unbeaten run in their last ten matches.. I don't think firing Slot now would be a good choice. Xabi Alonso has been linked with Liverpool after he decided to resign from Real Madrid, but is recruiting him a good decision? Liverpool also need to consider this situation and it's not certain his presence will improve the team, especially since the Premier League is known to be quite competitive and many managers struggle to keep up.

Arne Slot didn't have the start he wanted in the Premier League and Champions League, but he gradually started to get the team to play the way he wanted. The team is now playing as he wants and has been successful in many matches recently. Therefore, letting him go now would be a huge mistake. This is the period when he should really stay at the helm. Perhaps if he continues like this, they can even win the Champions League. However, if he experiences another bad period and his coaching career ends, his biggest rival will be Xabi Alonso, who is currently unemployed.

Even if Real Madrid sign prime Ronaldo or Messi to the current squad of Real Madrid he can not save them because striker and goal scorer is not the problem of Real Madrid, the problem of Real Madrid is midfield and defender, no one will watch current Real Madrid squad and say they don’t have a good striker or a goal scorer, they have Mbape who I think he is better than Haaland when it comes to goal scoring, i don’t think Real Madrid wants to sign for real, maybe it is just a rumour because we all know that Manchester City will never let Haaland leave it his contract does not expire.

Done deal
Guehi to city, via Fabrizio Romano

When it comes to fasting deal they should leave it for Manchester City, one thing i like about Manchester City is how they signed players, they do it fast and complete the deal so that any team will not come to enter the race with them, every team is monitoring Guehi for his contract to end so that they will go and sign him for free and Manchester City went and sign him for 20m to surprised everyone, Guehi is one of the players that Real Madrid, Liverpool and Bayern Munich want, he was about to join Liverpool last season and the deal collapsed, after that he wanted to finish this season and become a free agent and Manchester City come and spoil every team plan.

How have they grabbed two of the best players dominating the Premier League in their respective positions. They have injury players so this is just a perfect move for both player and club. One beautiful thing about this deal is that it will be a long time deal to benefit both the player and club. Congratulations to him, one would think he will be moving to Liverpool but good move here I must say. Manchester City have signed important names but they will not win the trophy
Guehi is a strong player which has displayed solid defensive skills at the Palace, I think Guardiola took a very smart move to have secured this guy especially getting a defender of such quality at €20M in today's market and I think Guardiola only took advantage of the situation which posed Palace's hands were tied and Guardiola has had an eye on the player's consistency and calmness over the period of time and was just looking for the slightest opportunity available to grab him which he did successfully at a reasonable price. I can't wait to see the guy's performance in his new club and wish him all the best at his young age. The guarantee for him is he's in a good team and also working with a solid coach and Guardiola seems to be very interested in him, what's left now is for him to settle down properly with an open mind and display his talents.

Manchester City were very intentional and fast about this deal snd luckily for them no club interfere to obstruct the deal. Lately I’ve been seeing rumors that Madrid wants to sign Erling Haaland ..they could have sign Guehi for this very cheap price but they’re instead waiting for him to sign as a free agent and now Manchester have him, and talking about Haaland, I don’t really think there will be a move for the striker to Real Madrid this summer except if Madrid are ready to pay that huge amount for signing him.

I like how Manchester City played smart here, every team wanted to sign him as a free agent in the summer but they quickly used this transfer window to buy him for just 20m.

I never expected this deal happening so quick actually, I thought that it was Liverpool that shown interest in Guehi last summer, but now he have signed as a player of Manchester City because of her quick they went for him.
Is this movie a good career mode for the player?
Yes, if you ask me, but I never saw this acquisition coming.

Erling haaland being rumors to be a target of real madrid doesn't hold much weight because I don't think Manchester City right now, will even entertain any form of negotiation between them and real Madrid next summer, since they doesn't want their team to be weaken in any way.

A player with qualities like he's deserves a bigger club to play for by the way. Who else can vividly recall it was Liverpool all over him, but the deal didn't go through because the replacement meant for him didn't pass his medicals at Crystal Palace.

They're both not just good signatures, but long term signatures who will help Pep Guardiola and tye next manager incoming since Pep Guardiola will not be in the league any further. I have one time said Ruben Amorim will get the job over Enzo Maresca and these same players can be used to project his tactics.

Absolutely, teams like that depends on business like this to survive, they always want their players to play well and attract other top teams so they can make money from their sales and keep their business running. They use to have Eze and Olise but they have all been sold now and soon teams will be coming for their talented midfielder Adam Wharton.

I also think Marc Guehi and Semenyo are both good players and they will become important players to the team, I mean that's why they signed them in the first place. Comparing then both is not ideal as they will be playing for the same team but then right now we can't say who will be having a greater season until the end of the season, Semenyo is already having impact and showing he can become an important player for them but Guehi has just been signed so we don't know how fast he will adapt but I believe he will be an important player for them as well.

I have seen nobody giving the details for Manchester City on Guéhi transfer. But here it is...

It is official now that he is about to sign for them. €20m is a great number for a skilled centre-back like him! They are about to sign him for a very cheap price obviously.

His market value is €55m actually but Crystal Palace doesn't have much choice left. Otherwise he was going to be free agent this summer. This fee must be to bring him in winter already I guess.

Man City really doesn't want to lose another trophy this season, which is why they are so keen to strengthen their squad depth this January. While others are still weighing up or evaluating who they will target, Man City has explicitly signed two players to the Etihad. It was all done just to hunt down Arsenal. Whether it will work or not remains to be seen, but what is clear is that Man City is really trying hard to win this season.

Semenyo and Guehi are players who are sought after by many big teams, so Man City is very lucky to have signed both of them. It will also be interesting to see if there will be anything else after this.

What's wrong with Chelsea? They go to the unfamiliar CB(Jeremy Jacquet) instead of focusing on competing for Guehi. The surprise is that they're valuing Jeremy Jacquet 43m. It's doubled from what City paid to Crystal Palace. I know he's a prospect, but 43m?Are they joking?

It seems they never learned from Gitten and JP. They keep valuing young talents very high. It's a way too expensive compared to the potential they will get from him upfront.
