I'm really excited about the transfer of Ademola Lookman to Atletico Madrid cause I feel his services there would be much appreciated. He's a very skilled winger who knows how to feed the ball to strikers and also score when the opportunity presents itself. Honestly, I didn't expect Atalanta to treat the Nigerian the way they did especially as he was the reason behind them winning the Europa league thanks to his brilliant hat trick but nevertheless, it's a good thing that he has left and joined Atletico Madrid. At least a breath of fresh air would even increase his experience.

The joy of every footballer is playing with comfort and happiness in his football club as football is a game that requires full concentration, attention and not distraction from misunderstanding or hatred from teams management or even coach. Last season lookman had an excellent season with Atlanta  that he scored  11 goals in the Italian serial A with Atlanta all before he find joy and comfort in the team then but what changed this season that he had no good time even with his quality, so i think that move to atletico Madrid where the will offer him the joy he desires is the best decision to make as he wants to have a good season

Liverpool have completed the Signing of Jeremy Jacquet from Rennes and it’s a HERE WE GO, deal agreed for June 2026, with a fee of £55-£5 Million adds-on to Rennes. Jeremy have agreed personal terms with Liverpool agreement done for the summer which is one of the most talented centre backs in the world.

With Ibrahima Konates Contract expiring in 6 months time, I feel Liverpool are planning for the future defensively, after signing Giovani Leoni in the summer, who is sidelined with an ACL injury, And Van Dijk getting Old means Liverpool are planning for life after Virgil Van Dijk.

I would say this deal was a fast one from Liverpool because Chelsea was the team that was interested in this player all through the Winter Transfer window negotiating a deal, before Liverpool came late minutes to pull a plug and took over the negotiations and signed the player, I believe the player rejected Chelsea and chooses to sigh for Liverpool, Chelsea fan would be very disappointed for loosing such a talented player to Liverpool, Chelsea fans have to be fuming now.

John Henry obviously sent Todd Boehly back to the Island.
I cannot believe that after spending nearly half a billion dollars during the summer, they ended up getting yet another player.

I would highly suggest Liverpool to stop spending money, and even the fact that Isak is injured not enough reason to go keep buying up players. They are going to bankrupt themselves if they keep this up, and eventually their future might be like Barcelona, but Liverpool is a smaller team so it will not be easy to get out of the hole they dig themselves in.

It's not about how much they've spent but doing the right thing matters, and signing a new defenders for a replacement of Konate that's injured is the best option thdy made, even though they spend up to a billion and one of their important player is injured, it makes lot of sense to sign another player that would replace him.

As for Isak, Hugo is available so there's no need for them to sign another striker but the defense position is a crucial area that needed to be strengthened especially since it has become very weak this season.

Atletico Madrid lack of effectiveness in attack has prompted them to consider signing Lookman from Atalanta, good decision from Simeone to bring him in. After that, it's just a matter of how he can solidify his position in the squad. I don't know who he will replace in the squad, but what is certain is that it will be a tough test for him to convince Simeone to make him the main choice.

Hyeon-Gyu Oh's transfer seems to be finalized. If the cost of this transfer had been low like 3-4 million Euro, no one would have objected. However, paying 15 million Euro for such a young player is a huge gamble. Did you send Tammy Abraham, who has proven himself, for this? He couldn't even reach 10 goals in an easy league like the Belgian League in any seasons. He didn't get much playing time at Celtic before Genk either. I watched the video of all the shots he took this season and found him really inadequate. He might be a good backup striker, but he doesn't look like someone who will start in the first 11 and contribute at least 20 goals to the team in a season. I hope we're all wrong and he performs exceptionally well, scoring goals consistently, but I can't be very optimistic about that.

When a player is not appreciated as much when he’s given his all to the team, it makes him not want to stay again and will look for the next available alternative to make sure his transfer to the next club works out. I am really happy for him to see his move works out, he’ll be more appreciated there as long as he remains productive and contributes well to the success of the team. This is a one time African player of the year, he deserves some respect at least for his services to that club. Atletico Madrid is a bigger club and this for him is an uplift and not seeing himself less going to the club. I’m sure he’ll do well in this club even better than he did at Atalanta.

We have been seeing shocking moves on Dead Line Day but non have we seen for the Gunners, they seem like a team that doesn't need any addition to the team but with the recent injury of Mikel Merino looks like they might need a replacement. Arteta doesn't look like he's under pressure (when asked) to cover up that Mikel Merino position, like getting anyone on the last day of this season January transfer. To me I feel the Gunners have everything covered only that they need to make every game count and hope he (Mikel Merino) recovers quickly. Does the Gunners needed to include any new face to the team or they're good to go?
I think it'd be better to wait till the end of the season to bring in a player. We've seen many players struggle to adapt when they join mid season. As for Merino he would be missed but there is enough player to cover for him. Merino is mostly used as a striker so with Havertz and Gabriel Jesus back from injury they now have multiple options and so far Havertz and Jesus seems to be doing well at the moment. In the midfield there is also options to use to there is no need to sign a player, maybe that's why Arteta didn't sign a player.

I believe that Arsenal have a way of controlling the game without some players but the main thing is for them to keep on dominating any opponents they meet in any competition so as to make sure they go far. Like tonight they will be facing Chelsea who doesn't have any style of play and like I said before that the Blues operate and win games base on luck and if it was last season where the Gunners rely on Merino as the only striker and he's injured it would be difficult for Arsenal so now his absence won't be felt rather it will motivate the likes of Jesus, Havertz and Viktor Gyökeres to keep pushing hard to convince the coach to worry less about Merino no being on the pitch.

If you ask me, I'll say he made the right choice. Yes he was a very good player at Atalanta, but he needed to move to where he'll be more appreciated, somewhere he'll have peace of mind and his all to the team not an environment where he's disliked and could affect his performance and confidence. Lookman would do very well at Atletico Madrid, he has the skill and quality of playing for a big club in the Laliga and if he does better than this it could force clubs like Barcelona or Real Madrid to go for him, going to Atletico Madrid is a big upgrade for his football career.

Lookman was also linked with Fenerbahçe in transfer rumors, and although Fenerbahçe wanted him very much, they couldn't finalize the transfer because they couldn't reach an agreement with Atalanta. Similar things can happen in every transfer window; the important thing is for the player to play for a team where he feels comfortable. I think Lookman could have been a favorite of both Fenerbahçe and its fans, but he chose Madrid.

Lookman is a very good footballer and will perform at his best wherever he goes. A good understanding between Lookman and the team could take his level to the next level.

AC Milan has just informed Crystal Palace that they won't be proceeding with the transfer of Jean Philippe Mateta due to failed medical test. It was discovered during the medical that Mateta has a lingering knee problem and that's what they are holding on as the reason for pulling out of the deal. To me AC Milan was never serious in signing this player. I see this as just an excuse from the Milan camp. I feel bad for Jean Philippe Mateta as he was keen on making this Milan move.

I think Mateta is going to feel different about this move and how it ended unless a miracle happens for another club to come for him, I'm not sure but is like Juventus are considering him as an option...that aside. My worry about Mateta is how on earth is this player going to have a good time with the club like he used to? The fans can choose to boo him for trying to force his way out, for me he should have stayed till the end of the season, that would have been better. Is he going to sit on the bench till the end of the season? I'm not sure and this news about Mateta reminds me of Zaha, when he tried to leave but was forced to stay till the end of the season but I'm this case Mateta I think this will affect his form in the sense that he might not be playing with his mind and is clear that he wants to leave as the other players did (Eze and Guehi).
If you look at this thing very well, I don't really blame Mateta for trying to leave Crystal Palace, he wanted to move to a bigger club to increase his odd in making it to the French national team this summer. You know this is a world cup year and the players in bigger clubs are always considered first by the national coaches. Players in struggling clubs are mostly neglected. This was the main reason why I believed Mateta wanted to make the move this January and couldn't wait till the summer. Crystal palace should just try to understand and try not to make him uncomfortable till the end of the season.

Really unlucky for Mateta and Crystal Palace both!  Sad  He was on the verge of being signed by one of Italian teams such as Juventus and Milan.

He had his medical for Milan a short time ago but the results led his transfer to be called off...

A serious injury that is though. After he recovers I wonder whether there will still be interest in him from big teams.

The return of few of the club players that's been sidelined for long I think is the reason Mikel Arteta and his men aren't seeing any reason to sign more players in the ongoing transfer window. Looking at the current Arsenal squad, I don't think there's any need to sign Mikel Merino's replacement now that Kai Havertz is back to fitness. The German can easily play Merino's role so I think Arsenal are good to go.

Arsenal have spent a lot of money in previous transfer windows and perhaps they don't need additional players in this one, even though Mikel Merino is injured.
In terms of squad depth, they should be able to bring in several additional players in this transfer window. The busy match schedule certainly requires Arteta to have plenty of options for rotation as otherwise, he fears it would be difficult for the manager.
Arsenal's current first-team squad is good, but some of the substitutes are still below expectations, making rotations a bit difficult for Arteta especially since they play in many competitions.
Well, currently Arsenal team are quite good in term of squad depth. They didn't even need any more player to sign them like current player are good their understanding between each other is good. If they brought someone new and put him on X11 then probably he won't have the capacity to understand with other player. Arsenal every player is doing his job brilliantly and bringing a new one will not a good idea except for injury suspect like if some players got injured then it okay to brought their replacement otherwise Arteta X11 is too good....

Besides that if we talked about their performance at this season then apparently it is quite phenomenal like simply they are dominating in every competition wether it's a English Primer league or it's a UEFA champions league competition.

According to reports in the press, Liverpool are interested in Zeki Çelik. Zeki Çelik's contract with Roma expires at the end of the season. He is a right-back who doesn't make positional errors. The Premier League wouldn't be too difficult for him, but it seems to me he might be a better option for the bench rather than the starting eleven. He doesn't have an ego and would adapt to Liverpool without any problems. His low cost makes him a good alternative. I think he has a good chance of making a good transfer in January, even if it's not to Liverpool, given his qualities and current form. If you can't sign Frimpong or Hakimi after Trent, I'd say this alternative won't leave you stranded halfway...

.....

As for Isak, Hugo is available so there's no need for them to sign another striker but the defense position is a crucial area that needed to be strengthened especially since it has become very weak this season.
Hmmm, that's quite right...
Liverpool already have two world class striker like Alexander Isaak and Hugo Ekitike and instead of them bringing new striker will not be a good idea because Liverpool problem is not a attacking player their problem is defensive player like currently Ibrahim Konate contract on expiry count down and soon in 6 month he will become free agent as well as Van Dijk is getting older and older and soon he also will leave the club. So Liverpool need defensive signing instead of attacking player.

Besides that here I will also elobrate it that Aron Slot is not making any good progress like this season he didn't make any good progress although he spends million of dollars but still his performance is not making any sense.

So they should also need a new coach.

It's not unlucky. Palace knew mateta's condition, but they kept play him when he's injured. So it's all palace's fault. They think they can fool Milan by selling their damaged player. I am not sure why they thought they could sell an injury player like him, but it's obviously Palace tries to play shady, but glad medical checkup prevented it to happen.

For many reasons I like that Ademola Lookman has left Bergamo Atalanta, for a while now he’s been living in a toxic environment, his woes started with his former manager Gasperini and somehow continued with the new coach and he’s been wanting to leave ever since. Somehow he lost his spark in all these challenges until the last couple of months.
I’m so glad he ended up at Atletico Madrid and not Fenerbahce.

His contract expires in June this year, and I heard that Roma have not yet agreed a new contract with him, Roma are hampered by the salary demanded by Zeki Çelik and also the player desire to play elsewhere, with that situation Liverpool can get him for free, but it will not be easy because several other clubs also have the same interest. Liverpool success could be a reality if they offer a decent salary, and although Zeki Çelik is not one of the highest quality players, he can still be relied upon as a substitute in defense or midfield.

The problem is that until now Isak has not contributed much to Liverpool even though he is currently one of the most expensive players for Liverpool but his performance is still very lacking. Maybe this is due to lack of adaptation or because the slot is still unable to maximize the opportunities possessed by Isak but I agree with what you said, rather than now they spend more money it would be better to at least wait until the end of the season and at this time be used as a comprehensive evaluation material for Liverpool.

They have spent quite a lot of money and patched up with new players even though it is very good but it is not a guarantee especially for the middle of the season so it would be great if they hold back until the end of the season and start for the new season because for this season they are finished and will not be able to get anything including defending the trophy.

It's really unfortunate that that things are turning out this way for this player and Crystal Palace as a club. But I don't think that Palace is to blame because I don't think that they knew that mateta was actually injured and still wants to sell him out to another club, that will be more of doing a criminal work the truth is that Mateta was injured sometimes ago and was treated and started playing the doctors at palace declared him fit.

Maybe I just feel that the medical team in Milan is just doing a thorough job because they have been good in bringing out players that are injured which their parents clubs did not initially find out. Remember Victor he was also injured and was only discovered when he wanted to sign for Milan.

Finally winter transfer window almost close and has several transfer fees record this time with Manchester City leading the top standing by signing most expensive players. The Citizen spent more than 84 million euro for signing Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth and become the most expensive fees transfer for this winter transfer window and the second position leading by by Liverpool by signing youth France player Jérémy Jacquet from Rennes with fees transfer around 82 million euro but the players will move to the Kop for the next season.

The top sixth standings of most expensive transfer fees dominance by the Premier League teams who really active signing new players at winter transfer window, few hours later has possibility this transfer record destroy before the winter transfer window closing?
Football worlds financial situation has gone up so much that nowadays we see players who worth nothing end up going for at least 40 million. Like half of that list do not worth the money they are paid for, but because every team does it to each other, it looks fine.

If team A pays 50 million for a player to Team B, and Team B pays 50 million for a player from Team C and if Team C pays 50 million for a player from Team A, none of them spent a dime and yet 150 million worth of transfers happened. This is what we are seeing, they are just increasing the price of players who worth nothing but in reality they are not really paying anything for the players. Just look at ATM selling Connor and getting Lookman, totally financial stupidity.

This was a chance for Mateta to finally get away from Crystal Palace as I feel the club is deteriorating, even Glasner is getting fed up with the management, too bad he couldn't complete that move to AC Milan as this news might stir away some big clubs as they don't want to sign a liability, plus getting that surgery and being off the team doesn't even help his chances, he just has to wait and see.
